eFootball (All Platforms)

I liked pretty much any UI in Ps3 Pes from 2010 onwards. In PS2 era they were functional enough. What we have today is awful but I agree it's not the problem. It just adds to the general sloppy atmosphere.

It's the hope that kills you, as they say. Would love there to be something decent at the end of all this, but not looking likely. I guess being live service, it's open-ended – if it survives a couple years (and it could, with MTX revenue from mobile alone), we might get a half decent game by that point. Probably not for offline play, though.

I agree also re SP – I think he'll be critical about the build if it's shit, like he was about the beta (even having been sponsored before).
 
First, i got to say one thing : i was part of Pesuniverse for 20 and 21. But the database part only, and i can say it comparison any OF : me and my bes teammate has done probably the more detailled database since there's PES on PS4.
I redo every Bundesliga faces in high quality on PES 20 + promoted recopied them with small changes on 21 (Edited, typing errors), meaning i check players from every angles. Some players tooks me 45 minutes, no joke.

I've re-do appearence from practically all created teams and stats for at least 15 Others Euro (not at the launch, i'll explain later), all MLS teams, and copied J-League from Mobile with corrections.
Stats were done by Huigoman for Bundes and Libertadores, some on MLS as the basis we converted from PES 2019 was totally awful, all that on the 20 and on 21 before he left the team for the V5.
For Others Euro, i asked help from Barca4eva for 7 teams +-, and also an Austrian editing teams, and one other editor Gronkaroglan done +-6 teams...
But i checked after, there were so much errors especially in Austria teams that i've gotted to re-do them myself. All players got a weird issues (all got 10 special skills assigned) etc.

I redo all from scratch until the V7 (i didn't worked on V6 btw, i don't even know what it looks like).
So before telling "Pesuniverse etc.", be careful : you don't know what they (more "He") hide from you, but we were a VERY small team for data and reached some levels that some others teams of 10 guys for the database didn't, with all up to date (especially on PES 2020)

But about kits, i agree : the best kits were from La Liga 1 and 2 (Carrasco was one of the best around) and perhaps MLS but not for every teams at all.
They got a team of Kitmakers... But not editors or creator, only me and some helping mate for 10-15 teams on 120 to complete.

Well it was a full time job. The thing was, i gotted MORE to do, at least 5 times. No joke. There's one guy applying kit at the launch, so 10 days of work, then nothing to do, all the kits to replace was given to me.

And it wasn't to make money, i send my O.F.: i received three gift for editing 8-10 hours a day, sometimes 12 hours and half a week of resting, but i worked months for nothing / I'll take an example : I did a very final version for PES 2020, with EVERY transfers IG for created leagues, and some for AFC (with duplicates removed), even Liga Aguila, Colombian league who were left with May 2019 rosters and plenty of errors. I re-done them, because i thinked the licence was completely lost, and i was happy to copy them over PLA league, well to get a real South America part of the game... But for nothing.
He NEVER released it, and i understood it only when some people asked me in PM "where is the V7 of PES 2020?" (i always sended to them for free of course) also i wasn't paid at all. Just received 2 gift the first year, nothing the last. I decided to release the V7 of PES 2021 for myself, he released it 10-15 days later... Again i was pissed.

I told the boss i don't wanted gift anymore. I didn't came for that, but if you want to send me something here's my Paypal account, send what you want. I didn't even received one penny, and the OF from V7 was 85% mine as i corrected all i could, even MLS stats, transfers, recreated many Others Euro from scratch, assigned kits, J-League updated stats from Mobile and transfers etc.

So in brief: i received nothing, and did more than ever. So fuck all of them from the "not editing" team, some like Klashmann or Carrasco, and people helping, should leave. That's what i did. Now i'm good alone, but when i learned that Pesunites boss was the previous guy from Pesfan.it, i decided to make a deal if i continue to edit (2021 or Efootball if it worth it, if at least you can add a Bundes. They kept a lot from those last year so it's not impossible they left the same data system)
Well we talked togheter and we agreed about a lot of thing. the Pesuniverse boss didn't supported Pesunites and put everyone under pressure, makes people left, it's all his fault if now, there's no more editor that can create a team with him. Every actives teammates complained.

Honestly i checked others OF and it didn't reached half of the implication (and level of expertise) me and Huigoman did on that OF. But to me even with that level reached : i couldn't finish and i gotted enough. There's way too many teams to complete on PES 2021.

More than on PES 2020 by far, even more details on players.
Just to tell how i was about detailsor example, i use transfermarkt value and compare to IG players sharing the same profile, then i check on the FM pre-game editor, if the player got "0" in every values, i always found a vid of the player and try to represent him as i discern his strengths and weaknesses.

When i don't found an height, i compare with multiple players, check vids etc.
And i knowed the limitations in terms of stats and standards from PES, i already talked about it.
Well, to be honest, from people trying tons of OF, on Twitter i got a lot of contact and they said to me many kind thing they really thinked (also Schiztophonic who said to the Pesuniverse account "you got the best editor you can get with Sensei-Vialli" another way to said "be careful to not loose him or you're done" also at least on PES 2020 5 people saying it's the best Bundes they saw on a PES man made, i answered "with PESEDIT from 2011-2013 then", i was happy that my work pleased to people, at least one good thing to keep in mind.

So yes, i agree about "not the best OF" but mainly because of kits, the boss tried to convince me that their kits were the best, i founded him some kits from Kit Man Cal PL and then some of PESuni kits and said "you really think all kits are better? It's just Spanish kits which are the best with Carra, think about the rest and respect the others", i was very frank with him.
Now, i continue on my basis, but i never wanted MLS and was a bit forced to do it. Well, teams are funs with good players, but the full league isn't possible to add on PLA. That's why i prepared Colombia liga to replace it, thinkin' it was lost. But the boss was an MLS fans, i remember we were five when i joined, and everyone said "MX". The boss said a bit later "we will do MLS : we got kits", i said "Erzo MX is with us, we also got MX kits no?"
Fake answer lol. He just wanted to play with MLS.

Well i said enough, but i could say more : in brief i'm not with them anymore, but now you can have an idea of how an editor, at least one like me, is doing on and what he receive really. I received 250 euro in total for 2 years in PS money (FFS i worked like a full time job and i'm not a gamer! i still got some unused euros on account) and a PS4 controller. Not that bad, and he said people don't understand that i got to send gift to everyone, so that's were to money goes!
Fake, as all i received was an FM account, and i only use FM for editing not even playing so... It's like a tool for working, same as the controller : the other died because of too much editing.

Sorry for the very long post, but i gotted things to, how should i say, "restore" in people mind because they don't know how Pesuniverse work, and it's not because you're on the team that you agree with them. I just wanted help to build a good OF for people, no joke, and didn't thinked about money at all.

Whatever, i'm not the tool of anyone now, used for my passion of editing (data and players details especially) and i won't fall again. If i still got time and envy, i will makes some deals to use some kits from others teams instead of my data and creation.
But since that EDITING TEAMS war, it's painful. I didn't grown with that mentality : but the one were people shared their stuffs for everyone, like i did.

That's an interesting (and characteristically HUGE!) post mate, thanks for sharing.

It is up to you whether you want to answer this – but by "the boss", do you mean Barry "TheMidniteKid"? I haven't seen what else he really does with that lot, except seem to be behind the social accounts, but gives the impression he's leading it in some way.

What you've written reminds me of how crunch in gaming development works – you have a lot of people who work way beyond what they probably should work, without proper payment, and those who defend the industry put it down to "passion", even remarking upon this trait as a fundamentally good thing – if you're not prepared to work without pay, then you don't care and shouldn't be in the industry (that sort of thought). It is easy to exploit the passionate.

Obviously, this is slightly different, because it actually is a passion project and something you do for fun. But it still, for me, underscores that there's a lot of work going into this stuff, and the people who do it – while not doing it for reward – do deserve some form of remuneration.

That's why, in general, I'm not opposed to people charging for OFs. But if those who charge don't properly compensate those who spill hours of work into the OFs, then we have a clear problem. That's the injustice, in my view.

So are the playtesters under embargo then, or are we really going to be subjected to dripfed tidbits of info from these paid testers on twitter, still not having seen the game with just over 2 weeks until released. For heaven's sake.

Can you tell: is it that those invited to play have already played/captured stuff and must hold back on releasing it, or have they been held back on playing/capturing it? If it's the latter, then it sounds like it's probably still too buggy this close to release...

I think they'd already captured it by the sounds of it.

It is an absolute shambles, this was teased a week ago nearly & Konami pull the plug less
less than 24 hours before it's scheduled release & delay by 10 days 🤣.... TEN DAYS!!!!

The game will be out a mere 7 days later.

Well, now you know +- how the money flows in that thing for at least PES 2021 goes directly to TTB and the "Kid" you mentioned as he's higher on the list (btw never talked to TTB and i'm not interested) without sending anything to the team i suppose, as he didn't to me.
Like he forgot. I just didn't carried, that's all, to make money you have to lost your humanity, that's certain, and i think he's becoming to lost it without being aware of it.

First thing he said after the V7, supposed to complete the 2020-21 season, was "i got to do some 2022 transfers bro". We were the 7 july only, Nothing were sure with all the "back to loan" players etc.!
Well he said it was super great, but no words after.

I dunno about kitsmakers, but i've done the biggest work, as every kitsmakers got an half league to do. Or more for Carra i think, but once it's done it's good for the rest of the year. When we, data editors, has finished to complete the fakes teams : it's the start of Winter transfers :CRY:

Talking about something else: it's also Konami, with all their fakes teams you can't remove from ML like in PES 2018 BUT not all leagues : checking the leagues you wanted to keep was way smarter and not so hard to do. That's what i was hoping if there were a PES 2022 ML, or even League mode.

Yes, i agree agree about the remuneration part, especially if you're doing it for a team to share your own work. The owners should at least send you something. And if you do it by yourself, well, just a Paypal account. Or my bro Barca4eva make his OF paid 5 euros, he worked to do Ex-Yugoslavia league with another kitmaker i'm also friend with. Not a problem to me, even if i won't do it.

Just put my Paypal account as it's a tons of hours spent on a single game, repetitive, sometimes annoying but needed to complete the whole package.
I know i won't receive a lot to buy a game after one year lol, but i prefer. I would like to restore the old system of sharing Option Files, kits and everything.
First step is showing the example.
Explaining to the youth community before talking about money that : Editing Teams got their exclusives kitmakers. before those PesUniverse, Editemos, Pesunites. And their website and downloads, even if it's "for free" bring money to the website owner.
One very ugly example was : my teammate assigned kits he found on a pack (there was one Editemos kit on it).
And the Editemos mai guy asked to them "would you remove the Zambia kit? It's our kit, you can't use it" Checking all the data and found Zambia kits please bro :LMAO: We laughed a lot about that thing. Incredible.

Then, next step, is to put some words about the "paid" O.F. : click + paid : mo-money ;)

I think they are yes. Things were even teased this morning so I'm assuming footage & info were all ready to drop until Konami pulled the plug this afternoon.

We've been drip fed from start to finish with abysmal marketing, misinformation & shoddy gameplay footage filmed on a camera phone. It's utterly pathetic.
 
Just seen a few comments & replies on Camaldinho & Spoonys YouTube pages, they all but confirm all their footage/info is done & ready to go, it also appears at least one of them has played the game.

Konami delaying 10 days for what exactly? The footage & info will still be the same. They really are the biggest joke around.

All stinks of damage control IMO.

If you already know you won't like it and it's garbage, awful game etc., i don't get why to be hurry to play or having some videos like that.

Guess they must have read the, mostly bad ,feedback that almost everyone had from the leaked videos and the gameplay trailer, and have then decided to delay só the backlash would not be even bigger.

sometimes I read Renan Galvani Twitter, and his last youtube video was stating that someone who had played a newer build of the game said that the gameplay we all saw on the trailer is poor compared to what they played now, and that despite existing some bugs with collisions etc, gameplay/graphics wise is way better than the leaked/trailer videos.

I find it hard to believe to be honest, since if you have something better to show you don’t delay it in the last minute unless that “new” it’s more of the same.
It’s almost like Konami Efootball team is making everything possible so that the game get canceled and they don’t have to go through this anymore 😬. I truly believe that some talented devs in there must be absolute shocked with what this historical series is turning into.

This is the way I see it all with regards to what's happened with eFootball...
Konami went with the idea for eFootball F2P two or three years ago in the lead up to next gen. They wanted a different approach to challenge FIFA. They didn't want to show their hand and let FIFA react to there switch to F2P, so Konami threw them a red herring with the PES 2022 next gen teaser. Their plan was to get eFootball into the public consciousness though, so added the eFootball name to the last two games, in readiness for switch the whole series over to this new single title. They fully expected to have a fuller game at launch for this season, but Covid and issues adjusting to the new engine saw huge delays to finishing a more complete game for the initial rollout. They always wanted to release eFootball ahead of FIFA, but with no complete game ready for launch they opted for the stripped back "demo" on 30th September to make this deadline. Leaving it until a day before FIFA 22 launches would give Konami the most time to correct as many bugs in the demo and make it the best they could. The early playtests that have been carried out have now highlighted some bugs that they want to fix ahead of the demo being released. By delaying the release of these tests and videos allows them to respond to any negativity and allow them to say what they have fixed or will fix ahead of the demo launch or soon after.

That's how I see it all anyway. If this was a PES 22 next gen physical release, there'd be no game this year, just another season update for last gen.
 
You know when you eat something bad and it plays havoc with your guttyworks. You feel your stomach rumbling and know that soon you’ll be rushing for the toilet..

That’s a weird feeling.. because you know it’s going to be a disastrous pile of crap, you know you’ll be sweating and feeling rough.. but at the same time you’re just really happy it’s finally released and you raise a smile, a laugh and utter “Jesus… ooh that was bad” but then you wipe yourself down, dust off the shame, spray the room with flowery smells, open the windows, wash your hands of the ordeal and move on.. what a great but weird feeling.

Anyway eFootball is out soon..

But don't hold your breath guys, because on 29th of September eventually I'll purchase some new android elite with 5G spot directly from Elon Musk himself just to be sure that I can run my eFootball on photorealistic next-gen... Also I have in mind to purchase one of those Japanese toilets with automatic flushing, sensors, and massage to release my "stress" comfortably when I'm gaming fiercely vs those old tech PS5 plebs...
