So Gamescom has come and gone and there's been no real gameplay shown or release date announced.
We were informed of some new features, but many were qualified with "available in a future update".
I had thought/hoped that Konami were keeping things quiet for commercial reasons, and were going to wow us all at Gamescom!
Previously we only had an unclear roadmap with vague details of unmamed modes with unclear dates.
For me, this all points to the game being nowhere near ready at the moment, and the fact that there's now no pressure of an annual release date
probably means we'll get a bare-bones game for the immediate future.
I don't have a problem with this per se, but the whole situation has been badly handled from a customer relations point of view.
People have suggested that development was changed mid-course, and that seems highly likely. There could be some justification for that,
Covid, UE5 delayed? to give just a couple of examples.
A good game could well emerge from all this in time, but Konami really need to under-promise,over-deliver(rather than the reverse) and regain the trust of their fans.
In short, is the reason for the lack of detail due to poor communication or to a lack of a product anywhere near ready to release?
