eFootball (All Platforms)

Not insider exactly but kind of PES relative.
They're trying in fact to release it sooner if possible, so September is not impossible. But it will be pretty hard, and they don't want to release an "alpha" or "beta" game like PES 2014 anymore.

No, you saw the beta, it's practically the same as PES 2021 with another graphical engine. Like the Mobile game takes from current PES and copy/paste and remove stuffs. Not so entirely separate : they already got PES 2021 as a basis + PES Mobile. The beta looks like a mix of the 2 in fact (Mobile + Console version, with Unreal instead of Fox, but nothing really added or new graphically) with the round and the arrow on every player (aswell as Fifa "guide")
I am not one of those who thought it was basically the same game, fwiw. In fact, for better or worse, I thought the interesting thing about this beta was how different it felt in a few respects – not least the pace, collision physics, ball physics, smoothness of dribbling, etc. Yes, some of the animations seem very familiar, but as someone else explained here, that could be because they're building on the same mocap data as before.

Now, I don't know what it will mean for the quality overall, but I do think it's inaccurate to say that the beta is PES 2021 with another "graphical" engine. I don't think this really makes sense.

Pointing to the elements that are borrowed from the UI/graphical elements (like the circle guide) doesn't tell us that much. It could e.g. mean the game is taking the UE4 work of the mobile devs as its base, or even inspiration, rather than that this is some sort of weird hybrid game which is not going to be related to the PS5/XSX version.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your info. I'm still super sceptical

All attention is good attention, after all.

Have any exciting new evidence-free rumours about PES 2022 to share?

We're excited to hear!
Look how good you understood the purpose of a forum, you don't need to talk about me, or anyone else, we have to talk about the game, after all we are all in the same boat, right? if he sinks, we'll all go together. I confess that even PES2021 had many sources for Konami, but this year everything changed, people changed and left there, and at this moment I find myself in the same position as you, waiting for July 21st. About this latest free to play rumor, maybe in the end it will be the free myclub on the day of the game's launch with crossgen or maybe crossplatform, and the full version obviously paid.

Fair enough; I don't want to get into a catfight over PES rumours. At least you acknowledge that there are no good sources.

As for July 21st – I have a fear that it will be teaser trailer where we get some CGI footage and a date appears on the screen, and the date is simply the announcement of the next trailer!

There is no doubt, if the game is not coming out in September (it is late) that would be the most logical. But I don't think they will release it after FIFA, so we should have a lot of discoveries about what the game will be like on July 21st (that's what I hope) but we're talking about konami right, their communication is neither good nor clear. I feel that the engine is a ferrari, it has everything to be a good game, but as konami directs this marketing and the game is not good. They should have a little chat with Capcom.

Maybe its a good thing that many people left and maybe they are going for different direction for the next game with fresh ideas. Finger crossed

PES2022 is believed to have dedicated servers, maybe not all online, but in some specific modes: PES 22 Beta is using Google SERVERS in matches around the world and in Brazil in São Paulo, match logs are in Amazon SERVERS in Tokyo, in this demo it is not confirmed that Konami is using Microsoft servers. When you connect to the game you are registered on Amazon servers in Tokyo as shown in the screenshots.

PES20222 is rumoured to be VR only. BAL mode will be the only option, your player attributes mimic your physical proportions and athletic abilities.

Hope you are true Konami...waiting for 21 July...
This teaser was not bad last year. We deserve a 'Whole New Level' PES this year.

is believed
The passive voice is often a problem in the world of rumours and speculation. Believed by whom? Who is putting out this idea? What are they backing it up with? Etc.

As for these screenshots, I confess not to be able to interpret them. What do they actually demonstrate? It's very hard for me to tell, but it doesn't look like they show anything about PES using dedicated servers. Maybe someone who understands these things better than me can explain it though?

As for the idea itself: I suppose it would be a good thing. Though in my own play online, it's generally vs people I know, and we are able to say things to each other like "hey, I'm getting lag, are you on WiFi possibly?" Some people just have bad connections of course, and ping/jitter they can't prevent, but a load of problems are solved by people just learning how to use an ethernet cable

I imagine on myClub it's bloody terrible though. Kids playing in the basement two floors away from a crappy WiFi router, etc.

I've often heard mixed things about whether P2P is actually bad for this sort of game though. I have no expertise and can't really form a good opinion about it. Are dedicated servers likely to be an amazing thing for PES online?

from what I understand the beta connection is different from the pes2021 connection! on pes2021 the match was registered in japan and then made the p2p connection. now the system connects to google servers and then just takes the match log to japan on amazon servers. these prints are from the same person making the comparison between pes2022 and pes2021! but yes, for now there is no official confirmation! however due to matchday and esports betting on a server can guarantee more stable matches between players from different countries

Me when someone mentions my ex.
Jonas Lygaard leaves Konami:

I love so much PES. I will be a big mistake if it became a simple f2p game. The next weeks will be very important for Konami and football fans

I'm french, ok don't blame me with ours best match versus Switzerland... Winning Eleven 9 was a masterpiece! I want the same degree of quality on nextgen and PC.

Wait and see!

iam absolutly worry about the future of PES, Staff leaving the company, the new strategy from konami are not very effective at this point. marketing is a destater since years... andf the "new football game" thing was an absolutly amateurish project.

if that game become f2p with focus on myclub and online without bis changes in gameplay... could be a neckbreaker
