It's possible if you somehow manage to score directly from kick off and then just hold the ball for the rest of the match.
 
When you finally think you win against Legend with a last minute goal but of course they respond with an unstoppable attack and goal right away.
Impossible to win vs Legend.

You just listed all the basic scripts.
The higher the level, the more obvious and effective they are. And that's what all video games are about, since the primitive video games.

You forgot one other script, when suddenly AI exhanges a streak of passes effortlessly, with your defenders just enjoying the show.
Also long balls are 100% stopped by defenders, who are always perfectly positioned.
These scripts kill the game.
There is no unpredictability, no "gamble", no motive to try things. You are forced to play in a specific way if you want to score.

Legend difficulty is always scripted in all sports games in NBA 2k they just make shots harder to hit for you and easier for the CPU. EA FC just straight up gives your opponent's players 90 ratings. I'm not sure what konami does but it's always some handicap trying playing Madrid against Cardiff city.
 
One simple thought about how AI can cheat.
When you play offline, the AI controls 21 out of 22 players.
So, when AI wants to "beat" you, it will orchestrate 21 players, so the passes will not be obstructed, the defenders will be placed exactly where they should so AI can execute an attack script.
So even your teammates are controlled by the opponent in a way.
That's why your long balls are always stopped by defenders and many other things that makes you feel that you re not totally in control, or, let's say it's nothing random.
 
Need some advice.. I enjoy playing efootball but there is literally nothing to do other than Friendly's however I did play football club 25 on simulation mode and it is ok, however not quite as fun as a football - not sure if I should buy it as I'm strictly an offline player? Does anyone know if e football will have any decent modes coming up within the next few months.. I need a football game to play ideally with a tournament or cup in it and I'm not going back to PES 2021

I think the question is will they ever have them, rather than in the next few months.
 
On every match Legend scores a 92nd minute winner :WASTED::NO: Superstar does the same just the game boring all along as its as stupid as PES21.
We need gameplay mods to balance this madness.

Seeing any chance making out of the relegation zone? This game...

Did they have assists and goalscorer info in my league last year? At least that makesmy league more.playable.as long as you buy the original squad

By the way has anyone tried legendary difficulty?
 
Simply wild to me that with this game as it is, with it's *very* 'throwback' feel in gameplay that has it's issues but is actually pretty decent going and is improved a fair bit, Konami haven't even bothered chucking out *even* a copy n' paste ML from eFootball 2021 with Edit Mode for say £20 aka the price of three pints when out in pretty much any city these days.

I'd pay for that, and likely get some value from it, as the gameplay is simply a good - not great or amazing - throwback offering. Though, maybe it would prove a 'great' wee diversion to some degree if I simply had access to something like that which I would want to invest a bit of time in it and see what gives.

Re: Legend,

It could just be me throwing a good amount of hours into the game a year or so ago, but I find Legend very beatable. Once you hit your marks with defending and slow down your play (which does feel counter to how frantic it can all feel, which is a good demand from the game, for me) then it can feel incredibly rewarding/immersive and on the level... somewhat.

On any below difficulty the AI is just too dumb for me. There are some fixed difficulty level matches and one was on Superstar vs Man City. They played like a PES21 team, not creating anything just passing and turning, no dribbling, no player idea, nothing. Yet cheated 2 goals in the last two minutes. So i might as well play on Legend for now where teams and players are exciting. This is what worked for me, even if feels like the AI has super tackling and super ball cover. If only the game had a dt18 file and could be edited to nerf a bit the AI, which i have no idea if it has.
 
Biggest issue still on the pitch itself the passing. 50% of my passes are just randomly going to nobody, to a player behind me instead where im aiming ahead for example. Dont get me started on the through balls, useless. They go in a straight line, always behind the players. A through ball, behind my player, get it?
And im playing PA3.

Do you notice the same thing on lower difficulty levels?
Because I tried 5 matches on Legend and Cpu Is playing on god mod. 152 passes completed out of 160? Come on!
Also sometimes you have to steal the ball from the cpu twice because you steal it, the cpu steal it immediately and then you have to steal it again.
Also I noticed a player model sliding/ snapping slightly to to a specific position so his foot can block my shoot.
Oh and if it happens the score to be a tie, of course a 92' min goal is a certainity for Cpu. The "god passing mode" is On you can't do anything.

Im stealing the result today with that last minute goal!
I cant deny what you are saying about Legend but on the other hand Legend also makes passing mistakes, fouls, gives away penalty, does scuff shots and can be lured into mistakes. This was for example a last minute counter 3 vs 4, i was with Fernandes and rather than pressing the run button or passing to any of the players to the side i slowed down and have waited til the last moment. Then the CB marking Zirkzee came out and with just a slight turn i could pass the ball next to him finding Zirkzee in the box who did not miss.
I just love moments like this vs Legend, also the midfield battle for every ball and every meter on the pitch. Even a gaining a foul from a lobbed ball towards my striker, or just getting a throw in in the final third is a huge thing. It was a while since working for a goal felt so special and earned in a PES game. And dont even mention the defending, doing a last man sliding tackle is feels exactly like something players do in real life because it is difficult in this game to pull that off without fouling the attacker. (But i agree a slight tweek on the PC version to the Legend gameplay would elevate this game to next levels). I NEED A MASTER LEAGUE NOW! Although My League is kinda fun with Authentic teams just shame i cant pick any team at any time due to the damn GP.
