eFootball (All Platforms)

I know Coinami are incompetent as fuck, but how the fucking hell do you lose Barcelona like that?

What the fuck happened to Efootball radio? Their last broadcast was in December 2022. Remember this shit was their way of communicating with the fans, answering hot topic questions such as do pineapples belong on pizza?
The first one was a mess konami don't know how to communicate with fans that Hale Spark dude had a twitter space with the worst audio quality I'd ever had it also ended abruptly after someone asked about master league and has never been mentioned since. As for the Barcelona thing I hope konami loses all their licenses not because of hatred for them but because they are misusing them. The USL for example has never got any featured cards and none of their teams are playable offline it's all a mess.

Tiki Taka

To be fair close control looks awful in real-time, one of the worst in the series! Clunky, buggy, and choppy as a FIFA game. Let me guess, it's on PC, + Steam Input button maps? Because the last time I played this game, you can't do that unless you stop for a second at least, and tilt the left stick ever so slightly... pretty absurd but...it was Konami's decision to bring in close control, that's why no one uses it

How is the update?
Well, the servers are off but I play one .. half offline exhibition game vs A.I. (PS5). First I think the graphics look worst .. it has some ugly yellowish filter, maybe because the game I played was before dusk, just before dark, and the second half was already night, but overall it looks like a PS3 game to me, and the field/grass is greener, but it looks like a bad repeating texture and it is noticeable how unnatural and false it looks. Regarding the gameplay, I don't find any changes except that it has a worse response time, but that might be because I played with a weak team.
Long story short, same old shit! The only changes will be in Dream Team mode and skills cards, players slots, transfers BS.

if anyone expected progress, then they were wrong. I expect it with the new efootball 2024 update or even with the release of the master league.

It's fair to say that.. I did not play the game regularly in the first place, so my impression may not carry that much weight compere with somebody who plays the game every day, so keep that in mind. I personally don't find a difference.

Without You offering an explanation Your posting pointlessly.

Why tell people the tiki taka is derogatory when You don't substantiate it.
Why don’t you just Google it if you want to know?

My parents are Spanish. I know that it’s a derogatory term for passing aimlessly.

It was a throwaway comment I made anyway.

No big deal.

Could you explain, cause i am very curious to know. I did a big research sonce I've read your post, but without any success.

Urban Dictionary, which is the world-wide Gospel of slangs, doesn't have anything relative, except for the football term, we all know .

It was a term used by Javier Clemente first I think, sometime in the 90’s.
It means you are passing the ball aimlessly with no intent.

The phrase stuck and now people use it to describe Pep’s Barca and that great Spanish team.

Here’s Pep’s talking about it.

"I hate tiki-taka. I always will. I want nothing more to do with tiki-taka. Tiki-taka is a load of shit, a made-up term. It means passing the ball for the sake of passing, with no real aim or aggression - nothing. I will not allow my brilliant players to fall for all that rubbish"

"I loathe all that passing for the sake of it, all that tiki-taka. It's so much rubbish and has no purpose. You have to pass the ball with a clear intention, with the aim of making it into the opposition's goal. It's not about passing for the sake of it."

"Be yourselves. You need to dig into your own DNA. I hate tiki-taka. Tiki-taka means passing the ball for the sake of it, with no clear intention. And it's pointless."

"Don't believe what people say. Barça didn't do tiki-taka! It's completely made up! Don't believe a word of it!"

There’s this too.

There are two explanations as to why Guardiola hates the phrase. The first is pretty simple. The fast, direct style of football which so beguiled the world when Guardiola was at the Barcelona helm is actually known in Spain as 'El Toque' (the touch). In Guardiola’s homeland, the phrase 'tiki-taka' is used mockingly for possession without penetration.

I don't see anything offensive on it. We mean the same thing. Doing a lot of passing. Now if it's aimlessly or not, i assume it is subject to everyone's perspecitve about football and playstyle.

I have seen other teams, trying to play this passing-style, without success, like Bayern of Pep Guardiola, but they were criticised for the bad copy-paste.

But it's the first time, i hear that the "tiki-taka" term has a derogatory side, by itslef.
