Fight the Power!
- 28 November 2007
We can only hope my friend - without hope, what is left?
I just hope that someone, somewhere at Konami is considering big changes. The backlash they get on Twitter every time they send a tweet sums up how the fanbase feels. They’ve got to do something, surely?!
I have a lot of hope, I always do, the lack of information and focus on offline from Konami is what gives me such big doubts.
I see stadiums like Santos, Celtic Park, Ibrox, Stadio Olimpico all added. I see Man United's new kits all added recently and when we look at the traditional PES calendar of updates it would make sense for them sometime in late August for the next season title to go 'Gold'. Many of the events seem to elude to something big being released for the new season on the 25th August. Thing is we have to be realistic and think if they have something major to release surely we would get some anticipation or news letting us know when offline content will finally arrive, the lack of proper information is nothing but disrespect and big concern.
For me its simple, there is no excuse for Konami not to release a paid DLC full of at the very least all the usual offline Leagues & Cups along with open and Co-op lobbies along with edit mode. Even if we have to wait for a proper revamped master league until later this year or even January, offline respect or nothing by the 25th of August.
The big part of how I feel now more than anything if frustration, i played a few manual 'authentic' games while it was in maintenance Wednesday night and like TMK here, the potential is there, its ready for offline, sadly tons of cheating AI going on but the core is so good,. it can only develop further offline with longer matches and more tactical depth. 'Dream team' will always be a fantasy football orientated mode, i have played so many average players who I've smashed with ease on the authentic challenges but in 'Dream Team' their overpowered gods do all the work for them.
Long may their point giveaways continue, I am only 20k points shy of getting Alexander Arnold.
I play something like 3-5 matches a week now and I usually have fun with it. Maybe it's even the best way to enjoy it, just having a bit of a nibble now and then. A more prolonged exposure through something like a Master League (Let's just accept now that they will never actually make that for eFootball) might induce boredom faster.
TAA's stunning cross should be illegal. Half the time is on a plate and guaranteed goal.
