eFootball (All Platforms)

You get crucified here for saying anything positive, but I'll go nonetheless: Speaking in terms of on-pitch gameplay only, not graphics and not the empty modes/content demo-like status of the game:

- Because Legend AI is more fun and fair to engage with than in PES.
- Because dribbling is better than in PES.
- Because passing is better than in PES.
- Because motion matching makes interceptions and defending better than in PES.
- Because the slower pace is much better.
- Because player inertia is much better
- Referee is a little better but still a mess

That said:
- PES has much better shooting
- PES has better ball physics
- PES has better keepers
- PES has better player switching, it's a shitshow in EF:

Things that are debatable:
- Yes, PES has more tactical options, but they're a mess and IMO tactical movement in EF is better, more efficient, and just smarter, and sometimes more flexible, like being able to have only one attacking fullback. Players in EF attack empty spaces that make sense without having to ask them to, while in PES I am left furious by players not moving into spaces they should be moving into.

Many of these points I only perceived after spending a month playing EF 1.0 then shifting to PES and feeling the difference, then shifting back to EF, so YMMV.
PES gameplay mods can replicate some of those things like pace, player inertia, and passing. I don't like the fact that the devs keep promoting this 1v1 crap when football has never been played like that. That's the kind of shit you see in Fifa's volta.

PES 21 isn't the best football game in the franchise. It has it's own share of gameplay issues which the mods do help mitigate, but it gets the basics right, including it's AI. It's a competent game. So far, Coinami haven't given me any reason to rate Efootball 22 any higher than PES 21.

What are the chances we get a half assed, over priced "World National Teams Cup" DLC competition, with outdated rosters before any ML news in sight?

Can guarantee the Dream Team real money player raffles will be on time, and up to date tho.

I haven't tried this but it beggars belief why the teams are in the build but Konami don't allow us access to use them.
Because they want you to pay for that. What do you think the whole point of free to play is? They'll be happy to tickle your balls for free, but to have a good time (I don't know how you classify a good time in efootball), you gotta pay up. We bear the cost, not them.

You're forgetting one important thing, mods that affect gameplay are only available to PC users and that's quite a small portion of the entire player base. The last few pes titles on console don't have that luxury so they feel very generic compared to efootball, imo.

I don't like how they won't stop about 1v1 in their horrible promotions leading up to release, especially because the actual game doesn't place anywhere close to that emphasis on 1v1 or skills than FIFA ever did. As with PES, timing your passes and dribbles are what are paramount in EF, and not skills/tricks etc which play a very secondary role.

Just on pitch gameplay only (from a game almost two decades old, not the latest or the best version of PES) 👇

How any company could release something like this is mind boggling.

Is that on beginner or regular?

would be fun to see that on superstar using River Plate vs Bayern.

Either way it shows how little time has been shown to the game offline right now that these lower difficulties are shameful.

Using your Unlocker and it is good to test the different teams and having fun with it. Had some good interesting matches, but really the game needs a league or torunament mode. I think there is fun in the game to be had, especially since teams do feel different, but Konami needs to give us the ability to use the teams.

i just fired up the game and played without any changes, offline. It wasn't even finished downloading. Maybe it wasn't updated yet. Anyway releasing it like this is still shameless.

Oh...i think that it is indeed on a very low difficulty during that preload match or what is that.
But yes is not the best first impression.

Yes, I'll give you that. There are some things you couldn't do in the console version that you could do with PC and that sucks. I used to be a console player so I know the feeling. That's something that's always going to be an issue when comparing PC and console ports. PC ports will always have that advantage due to modding.

Things started becoming stale because Coinami were satisfied with doing the bare minimum with PES and I'm seeing that with efootball. 10 months in it's still a mess. Efootball can have good player inertia, pace and all those nuances that PES didn't have, but the game still fucking sucks. It's not a game I would recommend to anyone in it's current state.

First of all, you made me watch that video 1.5 times… nice cut! 😂
second, ALWAYS PASS TO RONALDO! Any Ronaldo is good! 😂😉
third, I love to hear your voice again. Been way to long I watched one of your vids! Is it already to late to finish watching your mega huge 2021 review?! 😊

thanks for your input mate!

Imagine some cross play where a guy stays on the toilet spending coins and farting at the same time, then during the match he uses his talents to draw lines on the field to pass and shoot, meanwhile the other guy is grinding his ass sweating daily during this hot period and raging with the controller in hand when the cross play kicks in coz the skill gap wasn't fair with him... Pants down, even on mobile this game has so much potential; you can't tell the difference between platforms...

...600k subs for doing mobile phone "content" opening coin packs? can't believe this shite is real. Why that meteorite coming to earth got so much input delay???

Well plenty more cuts in the full review, get ready to listen to that voice for another hour :BAND:

The personification of a simp. Dude is fucking cringe.

havent received an apology bonus in 5 days, wtf?
Tomorrow morning: "Admin Apology, 10,000 Coins. We apologise for not apologising over the last five days. Please stay tuned for further apologies in our newest game mode, Apology Simulator. We decided to prioritise this mode over the boring, outdated Master League."

It's a typical japanese thing to apologize about everything, and i'm a fan of their culture.

They really needs to assign a "Dogeza" logo for every apology message 1659567133712.png

Why does he look like discount Aubameyang? Like 'we got Aubameyang at home'. Like they purchased him on wish.

I think the push for mobile as a primary console is inevitable as it coincides completely with the rise and push for cloud gaming. Personally I don't see how viable cross play between home consoles and mobile devices can realistically be at this point given the architecture of both devices, but I fear that this is just the beginning. Ports of mobile games on PC are already appearing, Microsoft's Phil Spencer has been saying for years that cloud is the future and the goal is to get essentially everyone with a mobile device playing their games (not to mention their reduced focus on console gaming in general), I do genuinely wonder how much longer home consoles will be primary devices they want us to play on (or even be a thing at all).

I absolutely hate the decision that Konami made when deciding that console/PC players will be able to play against mobile players. But I fear that it's going to be more and more common and that sucks. And you know what? All these content creators should hate it too. The most common thing I hear, regardless of sports title, across competitive scenes is one phrase; skill gap. The very nature of mobile limits that greatly. They shouldn't want this. But they'll keep making videos of pack openings and viewers will continue to watch them like the degenerate gamblers they are (as much as I hate to say it, we might need gov't intervention to deal with the epidemic of games and modes that are just glorified casinos at this point, but that's another rant for another day).

Going mobile is also a cost cutting decision by these companies. They want to make as much money as possible doing the less amount of work. It also gives these companies the incentive to push for more pricey dlcs, loot boxes, and other microtransactions. They know mobile users wont complain as much as those of us who primarily play on pc and console for our games.

Don't let them fool you into believing it's all about giving mobile players the opportunity to have access to some of these titles via smartphones. It all comes down to how much money the can fleece from mobile players.

There is also the issue of online only gaming which is tied to this as well. Then you also have the esports contingent as well with these sports titles.

I have serious doubts about Coinami delivering any sort quality offline modes. The incentive isn't there.
