eFootball (All Platforms)

Im having great fun in here today!

Its Konami, we've known them for a while now. Its not a surprise they are being more cryptic than this bloke who guarded Holy Grail.

Im gonna say one last thing..

This version might not be what we expected to be, but fear not - MONSTER Patch is coming!

Looking forward to Day One Patch!

I do wonder how most people here havent had a heart attack or a brain anuerysm after letting ConArmy disappoint them time and time again.

You truly are brave souls to lay yourselves at their feet so willingly :BSCARF:

To play devil's advocate, these are different times, and standard game-testing procedures throughout development may be forced to change because of Covid, and we may be seeing a much earlier phase of development than usual.

...but also, if you're going to the effort to add stadium announcer lines, the PS5 controller images, the more detailed kit models for certain scenes, the new cutscenes themselves etc. and produce the above YouTube video "guides"... then this isn't just an alpha version.

Yeah, definitely. We'll see but it's kinda strange. Talking about the "guides.."

Am I the only one who thinks this video in particular is kinda weird? It just looks like a simple change of ball possession like the ones we saw hundreds of thousands times in the last three years, only triggered by the button instead than from the automatic body contact. I don't know, I'd expect a bit more depth or at least some novelty if you decided to put out a tutorial for it..

"EuroGamer contacted Konami after the demo and was told that this demo was just to test online servers. The graphics, gameplay dynamics and many more parts of the game will definitely not be like this in the development phase. Konami also added that there may be crashes in the game." It's been said by Eurogamer

Everyone crying about sprint with RT. It's a great thing. Vary pace to beat defenders. Some people will need to get used to it. But I think it's a great idea. Whoever removed super cancel, please meet me at 12 am at an abandoned warehouse. I have cookies.🙂
Ever since PES 6 on Xbox 360 i've changed sprint and player select to L2 & R2.

I just can't stand how they can't make their mind up with the skills/flair controls. It was fine in PES 2019 as it's always been since 2014.

pretty sure what we have seen is the core for NG PES... at this point i dont want to judge the graphics or animations but what worried me that even in this stage the game looks like to much PES2021... i expect something completly new after "developed from scratch" and "3 years in developement"

i see the shots, i see the keepers, i see the damn old freekick system and i think, too bad not this year...

Well I wasn't expecting this! Agree with Chris that these are unusual circumstances and actually I think it'll be a fair bit different to the final product (unusually for Konami, granted).

Also, I have very limited knowledge in this area but...doesn't unreal make it really simple to scale graphically?

Anyway, nice to see some movement. Fully expect a reveal after the euros when there's nothing left to get people playing 2021. As a side note, I tried playing the euros and Jesus Christ it's a broken game 😭

this was what I was getting at. Muscle memory for things like this takes a while to adapt to. It really is game changing to an extent … I stopped playing after 2 games. A guy actually messaged me after a 1-0 win on a shitty beta. 'Ez.' 😂

imagine having that persons brain.
Oh yeah, you are right, Muscle memory plays a huge part with games like this, that why now online games are a complete mess.
I just finished a game that one dude making fake shots all-time in my penalty box.. poor guy trying to fines the shot, was funny but sad at the same time watching him.

All these new mechanics are not good and do not make any sense for us, the old PES players but if you see what Konami is doing... they want ONE GAME for all platforms to save money and time. It's easy to convert a mobile base game to a console, that console game to mobile. If you see .. when you start the game, you have message icon on top of the right corner.. but you cant open it because you need a TOUCH SCREEN :D

BTW.. are you have a "missing kids " announcement for the boy with a Yellow t-shirt before the match?

strange, when i google Pes 2022 PS4 it show me much posts about that and also the direkt link to Konami Announcement says just search for "New Football Game Performance Test" in the PS4 Store
Its the first title under the "Demo" category( sorry i have no idea where is that from the top of my head). But its on PS4 and it doesnt come up if you search for the title.

I saw this save animation last night and thought it looked pretty cool.

Firstly, I’m a huge fan of your channel!

Secondly, I feel like I’ve seen this in 2021 but very rarely! Because I remember seeing it and thinking it was one of the better GK animations but very rarely used.

When I switched from basic to advance shooting I felt like I was seeing more varied and better GK animations as they were having to deal with the ball in different places in the goal and not in such a scripted way. They tip the ball over the bar much more frequently which they hardly ever do on basic, and usually slap it back into play with iron wrists for some reason.

I saw others talk about that too, I didn't get any of that. All I heard was something about where to park your car and the attendance for todays match stuff.

yea i also saw this animation plenty times with manual shooting in PES2021. It's definitely not a new one

- The circle around the players is awfull and it cannot be disable right now (same circule as PES MOBILE)
You can remove it. Go to your settings > controller > then it's one of the guides options. Can't recall which. I set all mine to off and voila, circles gone.

I'm not convinced SC is gone. At least off the ball, I can run at attackers by pressing it (in similar fashion to the new L2 command, but not like a homing missile). If I press just sprint, it doesn't happen. Try it! Haven't noticed on-ball SC input yet though.

But again just thinking about the unsorted mess they are making with a simple thing like this....how would we expect they can put together a coherent, enjoyable, balanced football game in time on a new console?

This below is from the article. It reads very differently to what you've quoted. It simply says the game will be improved, which is very different to "will definitely not be like this in the development phase".
Your quote implies some other mechanics. The actual quote merely implies improvement of these mechanics, which feel remarkably like the stale mechanics of pes 20/21.

In a note to Eurogamer issued this morning, Konami said this demo is only a limited test version of the next PES, and its purpose is to check the quality of online matchmaking and connection to servers. All aspects of the game, including gameplay mechanics, balancing, animations and graphics are all under development, Konami stressed, and have already been improved and will continue to be improved before the official launch. Konami warned players to expect errors, such as crashes.

At least it's nice to have something concrete to talk about, right?

I only managed a half (busy night), but saw some good and bad. Feels like a mobile game with no midfield - but that could have been just me (and my opponent) figuring out the controls. So many 1v1 with the keeper and somehow the keeper made outstanding save each time.

For those who still think this is some weird online experiment using the mobile game only for that purpose: look at the survey they've released – Survey

They're asking you to compare parts of the game with its predecessor, clearly.

This may just be an early, shitty build. It may be that they've used mobile elements to build this game. But it is an early version of the sequel to PES 2021. Whatever that means.

This Lyngaard dude....

isn´t he supposed to give some info about this?
Adam probably would have provided something to make things a bit clearer for us.

It looks like a mobile game and porting it to the consoles just to test out networking....o....k.
But those control guides with the PS5 controller images are very confusing.
