eFootball (All Platforms)

I would say the 6 minutes half so 12min from Fifa is good too, 10 was okay for PS2 era. But they won't never change that @klashman69 unfortunately

15 minutes... Well to me it's always seemed too long, perhaps in the past. I tried but it's cool vs a friend, but seemed long. Probably because i played too much 5 minutes games during 7 years on the league we did with friends lol.
Also for 11vs11 games we did in the past, 15 minutes should have been better, don't remember if we could set the match time....
BTW it's right, 1 or 2 minute more by half time plays a lot on the balance for having something a little bit, let's say, football-ish.

Me neither, playing defensive online... Never done that. Constructive yes, but it play actively and as fast as i can. Slow building is not my cup of tea.
Like you can enjoy a game with physics and overall pace respected (like me) but try to play our game based on those physics : quick construction, found fast an opening, be aggressive in attack. Doesn't means run everywhere, but pretty dynamic

I don't want the game to be built for me to play easier like i play, being over dynamic and open in defense in the cost of physics... There's absolutely no challenge to try to play my game then. I want to build, attack and defend with a sensation of physical reality, making me hard and give me some margin to play like i want. Because it's hard in football, it should be hard in the game.

If you know what i mean at least.

One thing I've noticed, and you could say it's linked to that weird cross-goal, keepers are absolutely terrible at their near post. They just don't seem to react quickly enough, yet will do full Superman dives when a shot goes across their body.

Played it again yesterday after months off, was surprised to find it in a decent state. It's about average, nothing special at all, but found it already more fun than FIFA22.
It's a shame the only offline mode is friendly matches, at least playing on PC we can unlock all teams and extend the match duration.

It was okay on Training mode to me. For exhibition matchs....
But i'm not playing that game. In some months perhaps, if they release some DLC...

I would also like a different theme as i just can't handle the Waterpolo pitch (not even a color separated from the rest : just a BIG white line)

Loved to check players stats and all before, tactics etc., but right now i just don't even want to check closely. Looks dumb not playing for that, But it's more because i hate to lost my time on demo's, because offline it's like a demo, and i just don't want at all to try DreamTeam.

Not my thing, online i prefers Division, and playing with real age players.
Not a team with Rijkaard, Maldini, with Lewandowski and Pjanic all togheter on the pitch. It's probably more fun like it, even if i don't like the melted stuffs.
But i understand that most of you like it : players got progression and all, it's better than Myclub from what i see. But it's wayyyy too fast to get a big team plenty of superstar it seems.

IGN Japan : Can we expect a new version of the Master League we love in PES ?

Seitaro Kimura : Honestly, I can't say much, but the Master League will be included in eFootball 2022 in some form. There are many rumors surrounding an improved version of the Master League, I can't say when I'll be able to share specific details, but we are taking it into consideration.

Konami have official announce via twitter (since november of 2021) that master league will released later this year. Nobody know when. But first they have to finish the gameplay, optimized the graphics and more. If they need time from 0.9.1 to 1.0.0 for a result like this master league will take time.

As well, considering their original rOaDmAp didn't even mention ML, and that they only made concessionary noises about it after a social media backlash about the silence, I'm not very hopeful for anything soon.

Remember, they originally planned:

Stage one (Early Autumn '21)
Release the game (✅ – botched initially though, back to the drawing board)

Stage two (Autumn '21)
Release Dream Team (✅ – albeit three seasons late, Spring '22)
Introduce cross-play between the major console platforms and PC too (❌ – waiting on that)
Introduce a "match pass" (❌ – this will be their first priority now, because it's immediate revenue)

Stage three (Winter '21)
Hold eSports tournaments (❌ – not that I care about this bollocks... I expect they'll maybe do something in summer?)
Introduce cross-play with mobile version (❌ – they haven't even released the mobile version yet!)
Introduce mobile controller compatibility (❌ – see above)

So they are severely behind, and this is just the stuff they indicated concrete plans on. Other stuff, like Edit Mode, ML, they only paid lip service and said "sometime in the future". They never mentioned BAL, co-op, online divisions, friendly lobbies (outside of Dream Team), or team play lobbies.

So my hopes for a functional, worthwhile PES successor any time soon are frankly in the bin.

8 GB is enough for this game, but maybe the VRam Chips are dying.
If you get more and more Texture Glitches and in other Games too than that could be the reason. Can happen with old Cards.
i have no other issues playing other games though...for example i'm still playing pes 21 and fifa too...there is no glitch at all...

eFootball 2022 - Konami's Seitaro Kimura explains what's new in version 1.0.0 (ING.com)

In the days immediately preceding the release of version 1.0.0 of eFootball 2022, for consoles and PCs, our colleagues at IGN Japan met with Konami producer Seitaro Kimura to fully understand the goals that the team has set itself with this update.

IGN Japan: You have made many changes to eFootball 2022, based on player feedback gathered since the release of last year's preliminary version: can you tell us what are the most important aspects on which you have intervened

Seitaro Kimura: Version 1.0.0 is very different from the previous one. Specifically, the update offers better accuracy and speed of the passes and adds a type of kick, "Impact Kick", much more precise than the normal way of kicking. Finally, the defensive system was changed. The new Dream Team mode should also be highlighted: we have collected a lot of feedback, and we have worked hard to improve it.

The basic concept of eFootball 2022 was to incorporate attack and defense solutions present in the current football scenario. It took longer than we thought, but I think we managed to get closer to this concept with version 1.0.0.

IGN Japan: Why did you specifically decide to focus on the accuracy and speed of the steps?

Seitaro Kimura: We collected a lot of comments from players who complained about the impossibility of making effective passes. Version 0.9.0 offered 1-on-1 duels, but passes are also important in real matches. We decided that it was necessary to improve the system that governed them, so that players could adopt the same choices and the same solutions that are expected from a real game. By improving the speed of the passes and the way the players receive the ball, we were able to improve the pace of play, which is a crucial element of football.

IGN Japan: What led you to intervene on the defensive system?

Seitaro Kimura: Our intention was to make the defensive phase much more intuitive. The players indicated to us that the defense was difficult to manage in the previous version, so we reviewed the priorities of the defensive actions and rebuilt the whole phase on these new solutions.

The pressing system, which has existed since the days of PES, has been restored so that it is now easier to focus on the player in possession of the ball. In addition, we have added a "team pressing" in which the attempt to steal the ball from the opponent involves the whole team.

IGN Japan: You intervened on both attack and defense: where did you place the balance, with version 1.0.0?

Seitaro Kimura: The purpose of eFootball 2022 is to recreate a real football match, aiming at that intoxicating feeling you get when you score. It's not fun to play if you can't score, but it's also not natural to see too many goals, from a purely football point of view. We have worked with the team to create matches where, for example, a 10-minute game can normally end with a 2-1 score. I'm sorry it took a long time to get to version 1.0.0, but I think we've now managed to create a convincing balance.

IGN Japan: What's the idea behind the new Dream Team mode?

Seitaro Kimura: The Dream Team mode is where the game allows you to create a completely original team and train players to improve the team's performance. It was called Creative Team before, and in PES we had a similar thing called myClub. We renamed it to version 1.0.0, but it basically works the same way.

IGN Japan: How do I get players into Dream Team Mode?

Seitaro Kimura: Players are divided into different types, such as Standard, Trend, Feature and Legendary, and there are two ways to acquire them. One is through the list of special players: this is where you fish players by spending coins, similar to myClub, and it is the perfect solution for those who want to quickly acquire very strong players. The other is the list of standard players, where you can "name" the desired players to get in exchange for GP, the currency you get by playing in the Dream Team mode.

For most players, excluding those of the "Trend" type, there are growth factors that allow them to be improved with training. In myClub, the stats to be boosted were decided automatically, but in Dream Team players can assign stats as they wish. For example, you can have a Lionel Messi who is very good at passing, a Messi who is even faster, a Messi who is a relentless sniper and so on, adapting it to your type of game.

IGN Japan: What are the plans for cross-platform support?

Seitaro Kimura: Version 1.0.0 still supports matches between PS4 and PS5 and between Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but does not yet support matches between different console families. That said, we believe that full cross-platform support is important in the esports scenario: instead of having champions on every platform, we want "the champion" to exist, the best player of all, regardless of the platform they use.

IGN Japan: The next World Cup is just around the corner: are you thinking about any in-game events?

Seitaro Kimura: We are planning to make an in-game event, we will do it with the appropriate timing. This is an important moment not only for football fans, but also for so many other interesting people at the event, at this global tournament, so we will work it. We are planning to offer national teams, such as the Japanese national team, playable for a limited time. Details will come when we're ready to share them, so stay tuned.

IGN Japan: Can we expect a new version of the Master League that we loved in PES?

Seitaro Kimura: Honestly, I can't say much, but the Master League will be included in eFootball 2022 somehow. There are a lot of rumors around an improved version of the Master League, I can't say when I'll be able to share specific details, but we're taking it into account.

It seems that they haven't even started working on it

They probably dont need to much time, just copy-paste old one ...

And master league is not gameplay related, its just more menu's and backgroud scripts. Those things could junior developers copy-paste from PES 2021, you dont need Unreal Engine capabilities.

Why they dont do that ????

3 years without a new ML, and at the end just copy-past the old one.

I'll not be surprised

Kimura the person who destroyed PES offering €football is still in charge and has not been fired? what a surprise..

I would be happy and buy instantly copy-paste, just something to play offline.

And if they plan evolve gameplay as live-service, they can do same for master league.

To be honest, the gameplay of pes 2022 is ok, it's not as rigid as pes 21. I think in the hands of the community this game would go from a 5/10 to an 8 or 9 with mods. the fact they made it hard and nearly impossible to mod, with no offline has really made my head spin, they could have easily used steams community to make mods legit and allow the community to manage offline mode themselves. They would even just give us a skeleton ml mode and the modders would have gone to town.

scripting in those challenges of 1 pt 3 matches, 3 pt 3 matches is brutal

edit: played against clearly a beginner or a noob PA1. First half he scored 5x1, second half i kept playing it ended 6x5 to him

in normal games in the division its kind of ok, you get some for you and some against, but in this challenge jesus

I cleared those in one try. Have not met any stacked team yet. You need to have team playstyle for at least 90 or else the gameplay will become rubbish, laggy, unresponsive, dumb

i have over 90 team playstyle and if i play in normal divisions games i do well

barely played and im in div 5 without any of the rewards because i didnt played before

clearly its different this challenge from the normal div in terms of scripting

The gameplay can be laggy and unresponsive without team spirit being an issue. First thing I did was get the playstyle affinity to 100, and I've had some laggy games since.

Incidentally, I've had a much nicer time playing in the league than in the events. I'm sure it's probably just a random string of nicer opponents vs in events where I get a random string of dicks.

I don't believe in any kind of scripting to explain it, of course. That's just the imposition of order on something frustratingly disordered, to make the experience more palatable.

In the old myClub, the events were always worse for me because you couldn't filter via connection quality or pass assist or strength. But now that's basically what we have anyway for all online play.

Has anyone had any suggested opponents who aren't 5 bars? Every single opponent has been for me, and yet there's quite some variance in the connection smoothness. Events have generally been the worst.

Another factor is probably the league structure itself: people are maybe less desperate, not trying to rush through the event and get back to their team or know they have to win or get a point to complete the challenge etc.

I know you're an avid believer in scripting and nothing I say will convince you otherwise. But perhaps it's worth being aware that not everyone believes in it (or would define it in a way that describes your experience as one of scripting). So it's not "clearly" the case haha. There's enough variance in our experience of games, opponents, connection qualities, and randomness on the pitch (God knows there's enough of that!) to explain your contrast of experiences between the two types of match.

Surprisingly i never had any lag playing online events and division and I never found anyone less than 5 bars connection. Contrast with myclub that was 90% laggy for me. Maybe the player base in ef22 is still small in my region.

Only 1 game where my team spirit was 89 that I felt lag and unresponsive. Maybe it was placebo

All the severe lag I've had using the PS4 version was those i choose to play who had less than 5 bars. I can chop in and out but this game even in North America plays smoothly most of the time.
