eFootball (All Platforms)

Well I tried it on ps4.

Edit: I wasn't expecting it to look that bad on PC. Wow. Not much else to say at this point.

On PS4 it legit looks a PS2 game, everything is blurred and pixelated.

Do you agree to make a thread of constructive criticism, making a post with what needs to be fixed
and hope for KONAMI to keep the promise of "listening what community wants and constant updates" ?

The state of the game is begging for good feedback. Hopefully someone here can provide that. Whether it's a thread or a sticky.

also - noticed the exhibition game was 10 mins while the download was finishing. Then I could only play 5 min matches as if it was a demo ;)

Can you get 10 min games if the online works?

As a mobile game, it can get interesting some day if features like offline season, editing and manual play are available.

But i hope no one expects me to play this on PS5.

This might sounds stupid, but if you want your voice to be heard, learn proper japanese first. Other than that, forget it.

There is only one thing to fix: mobile build must be replaced with original game.

When have Konami ever listened to us?

Even when this site had a point of contact, who showed me the evidence of our feedback being passed onto Japan (as well as the wider community's feedback), they simply replied with "no data suggests this would impact sales or microtransaction revenue". I'm not joking (I've said it before).

They are 100% not interested in our feedback. Jesus Christ, does the fact that their priority is a cross-platform free-to-play money-spinner that's legitimately based on a mobile port not absolutely confirm that now (even if you somehow like the game and/or see promise in it)?

I'm sorry to be defeatist but there is categorically no point in feedback from us. Anyone who tells you otherwise - anyone who keeps asking "what do you think guys" and "what feedback do you have for us" is simply playing the social media long-game.

We even created a feedback forum here at the request of previous contacts (remember that, @Tom?) and it was all ignored.

Let's get real. They're gonna make what they want to make, which is what they think mobile gamers want, and they're going to tack a Master League onto the side of it in an attempt to try and squeeze what little money out of us they can (with an AI that is pointless for offline gaming).

I think it's perfectly normal for people to actually like it for whatever reason, but saying that this medieval torture device is in fact realistic football and we're not getting it, is just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. This is the perfect time to drop the tired cliché about Konami and realism.

Dreadful ball physics, players are oil tankers on ice, no teammate controls is the dumbest thing ever, defending is garbage and not in a more "manual" way, the AI dribbles ... er, or at least try to, because 1v1s and in fact the easiest way to score is to lock onto them with LT while they don't know what to do with the ball at the back, they're beyond stupid. Slow pace is nothing more than the oil tanker physics + AI stupidity.

Offline is dead & buried, if you expect a good offline game with this AI I don't know what to say. They openly said they're making a freaking e-sport game, it's probably why the only people who seem to like it are the ones obsessed with winning online and with "skill gap" rather than with playing football. Nothing more than a trash multiplayer mobile game.
You know, you can win online by playing football. I, for one, im not a myclub player. I just like to play with friends friendlies & stuff. I reckon, i kinda cba about the offline part. Never was i into ML/BAL, and i’m playing it since ISS Pro Evo 2.

For the last two years, i bought both PES & Fifa, all started with the PES 2020 DEMO that was the perfect game for me, a game that got butchered at release to the point i asked for the first time in my life, a refund.

Now, since then i kinda start losing interest in PES(that dissapointed i was on what happened in 2020), tried both Fifa 20 and Fifa 21 and even if they were somehow enjoyable from a casual “just wanna score goals” point of view, i can’t say Fifa is a real football game. I still consider it a game “for kids”, not a real sim.

Fact is, i kinda enjoyed the last night’s games vs my friends through the shareplay feature of the PS5, despite all the flaws (and God, there are many). A thing i can’t say about Fifa 22 who i tested with the 10 hour free pass, a game that is the same as 21 and 20… nothing new, same boring casual gameplay.

Now, i can’t argue with you, the offline play of eFootball is a mess, i’m afraid they dont care about offline anymore.

Bottom line is, they fucked up so badly with everything they did so far starting with marketing and ending up with this… “beta”-ish release.

Even so, i’m kinda glad i finally enjoyed playing “pes” with my friends after more than 2 years… I just hope they will manage to fix all this mess regarding the broken aspects of the offline play and GOD, those awful menus!

We have been giving positive feedbacks too in the past 10 years or so and it lead to this. I cant be bothered but each to their own.

Sadly I’m not convinced that would achieve anything (apart from a therapy session for the users here)

Judging by the way Konami social media employees past and present interact with their customers, I don’t think they have any respect for our feedback or opinions. Constructive criticism is a nuisance to them, forums such as this, and others that have perished, are full of serial moaners in their eyes.

They value faux awards, pats on the back, smoke being blown up their backsides and that almighty MyClub dollar.

Maybe I’ll be proven wrong and they will listen, but I’m expecting them to double-down and blame all the problems on us the consumer.

Flabbergasted at people praising the game.

I went in with an open mind, clean slate. I know it's not PES. I know it's not for me. I'm not part of the 'new crowd' and I've come to terms with that.

I've fallen out with PES before (2007), prior to which the series consumed nearly all my free time. Having rejoined in 2019 after the got the SPFL licence, I've been largely indifferent to the games from the last few years.

So with this attitude and 12 games under my belt (Series S, Superstar, default controls, not a stickler for visuals, very much a pass and mover and not a dribbler - a ) I feel I've given it a fair crack.

While I didn't experience the full suite of glitches, shambolic physical tussles alone are game-breaking.

This was the culmination of a gruesome Dancing on Ice routine that lasted about 12 yards. It happens any time there's a coming together at any speed. How anyone can like a game in which that happens is beyond me.

Passing is an ordeal. Every one is so sluggish and to compensate the players take an age to block the lane or simply let the ball roll by them.

When it's your turn to defend player switching is erratic and once again you have to wait for your player to wake up (from, apparently, a nine-hour pissed sleep) before they're responsive, by which point the opponent is long gone.

I had some frantic goalmouth action which was enjoyable. Shooting is hit and miss but when it's good it's good. And crossing is intuitive. But the damage is done.

It's the heavily-flawed effort I was expecting of one of the new kids on the block if/when they arrive. Given it's Konami, it's a pound-for-pound turd of FIFA 64 proportion, even with my low expectations.

Despite waiting 2 years, everyone would be happier if they ditched this disaster and just re-released the PES Season Update again with updated rosters.

It's legitimately the worst football game I've played in well over a decade.

It's pes 2008 all over again
At least PES 2008 was damn good in its old-gen form.
Here, as far as I can see, neither the next-gen version of the game nor the old-gen one (PS4, XB1) are good enough for release, in their current state.

Let's wait and see what happens down the line. Some interesting things *are* there indeed, it's just that throwing two good things together in a sea of mediocrity (or worse) is nowhere near enough to make a good game.
This game needs much, much work done.

From the contact who tried Windsor version, (so not July 3 month version) there wasn't at all all those AI errors, bugs, disappeared stuffs and all.
But still needed some polishing on some areas. Well they won't say it on their Twitter, but to me yes. Very far from that version, but still unfinished in terms of AI positinning and some contact, but acceptable (like the PES 2014... Beta, not even Demo)
It's the weirdest experience i've done, playing a game in the middle of building. I just hope that the high japanese authority, will call Konami and ask "i want to talk to the chief. Right now. Japan representation in the world is in a shameful state. I can't tolerate it"

Needs someone very important in Japan to menace them/him. Video games is a proud in Japan, and PES is one of the representative. I'm going perhaps too far with politics involved haha, but that's what i really want, they deserve it. JUST for the sake of releasing before Fifa! Just for that they put a bad taste on everyone mouth and a sticked "don't play that shit" on the game whatever it will became in the future!

They will got to apologies, and not with a notification we don't give a damn. Real people apologies, and explanation. At least told to people why we got a so outdated awful version is the MINIMUM.

I've heard now, it's even longer to release a simple Demo (practically 1 month!) but even 3 weeks of one month, i can't believe there's wasn't a version "between" the one they played in Windsor and that super old one.

But well, i don't care. I just hope they won't just correct some stuffs based on that... Version if we could call it like this, and don' release the latest one instead.
They're capable to do some weird stuff like that so...

Well, just one thing : it's to me completely impossible that the game will still in that state. Completely. They know themselves it's way too buggy, any dev on their team is aware of it. But i know what i'm talking about : when a boss decided to release something, even if you told him it's not finished and you can't release it in that state, it's suicidal : he won't care and take your half-done work and release it.
That's how it work. But they're not the kind of making a rebellion, it's not in Japanese mentality : they follows orders and shut up. Well, that's make for example Tokyo the most secure, clean, etc. from all city in the world. But that as nothing to do with companies doing VG and money.

Wtf the game doesn't boot if my internet connection is unavailable.

And my net sucks and dies a lot. How tf will I play the game this way? Can someone else check if the can boot without internet connection?

I added a rule to the Windows firewall to prevent eFootball 2022 from accessing the Internet (just in case) before installing the modded dt250, and everything works fine here.
I just get a "Internet connection not available" message but everything else is fine (bar online modes, of course. They're not available but I don't give a damn about online).

"Our ambition was to recreate the perfect football environment, from the grass to the movements of the players, to the stadium audience. The end result was even more impressive than we had expected. "

I would like to put a smiley which represent "fear" instead of laugh or whatever else. Some stuffs are really scary and i'm not the kind to be scaried for whatever movie or something else, no joke.

Thanks, imma try that now.

When I was trying to boot when my internet was down, I just saw a black window that kept closing automatically after few seconds.

Zombie are "kawai" in comparison. It looks like a Silent Hill which is more fear based with a polygon bug on a pack of monster, from PS1.

constant updates?
base on what we saw, the game just can't simply be updated to become a decent game
I just can't see any possibility you can update this game when the base is that fkn bad
if there will be a better efootball, it will be that they make another new game and give up this sh1t build
