eFootball (All Platforms)

Just played it for 10 minutes on PC.

What an absolute fucking joke. It took them an extra year to make THIS? It's the same fucking game. The same shit graphics, the same god awful commentary, the same clunky animations, the same robot goalkeepers, the same sound effects. THE SAME. In no way is this anything "new". They are complete and utter liars.

Genuinely tempted to just uninstall it straight away. It's laughable.
I wish it was the same. It’s worst. It’s an unfinished, buggy, crappy mobile game.

I’m sticking to 2021.

The short passing is horrifically slow and the L2 button feels like the old homing missile style tackling.

Konami have a lot to do to get this anywhere near being enjoyable. I loved PES 2021, this is nowhere near it currently in terms of quality & gameplay.

Played 3 games then it crashed my computer.

Its unfinished and buggy, had my first invisible player moment. its sadly not something you can take seriously yet to play competitive, its a game to find out new stuff. It does one thing so much better than PES 2021 which is like i explained and expected, The dribbling and fluid player movement is really nice, sadly that's it, everything else is a mess really in terms of gameplay, on full manual the very basics of shooting, passing, crossing all need a lot of work. This clearly seems to be because they have put all efforts into how players run and move on and off the ball which was the fox engines biggest flaw, its clear all tactical values have needed to be reset to bare basics before it returns to any kind of depth we used to see.

I do love the graphics, the kits are horribly made, I like the new 3D models of them but the textures are a mess, it stems very rushed and wastes the potential look.

There's loads of potential here but right now its a unplayable, buggy proof of concept.

I'm not pissed off or annoyed since I expect this, I actually surprised how much I like the graphics, changing the stadium and seeing realtime day to night is beautiful and was something really needed for years. Modding will be special if we can tap into this quickly. The 'PES team' has tried their best but being screwed over by higher ups demands, this is so rushed something has gone wrong in the timing of this development cycle.

Sadly, its still unfinished demo at the moment so when will the first patch arrive guys, ?

The default passing assistance for some reason makes them travel extremely slow. I found that changing it to level 2 or 3 (which would actually be PA2 and PA1 in the old system???) gives you more control over the power

Playing the Series X version for an hour. To me it felt like a cross between PES 2021 and FIFA 22 but a very unfinished version.

I do like the freedom of movement, I didn’t feel like I was on rails at any time. The (manual) shooting was good. The things I didn’t like I’m hoping they’ll change because after you bypass the instant disappointment of playing a very incomplete game, there is a good base under there. I felt the same after playing 8 hours of FIFA 22 so I guess it’s going to come down to the patches on both games through this year. As much as I’d like Konami to stun me and make this the best footy game ever, I think FIFA 23 will get there long before eFootball.

I haven't tried it yet but how in the world are they thinking it was a good idea to release what seems to be a alpha version of the game one (1!) day before the new FIFA comes out?! Insane.

This isn't just buggy, alpha, unfinished etc. The core gameplay bares no resemblance to PES. This is a complete waste of my time and it's unsalvageable. I don't even know if it's worth wasting a weekend making a review video. I wouldn't play this game if they paid me to. I think at this point we should wait a year for a new game from developers who left Konami to make a new game. UFL/Goals etc are just shit not worth talking about, same as eFootball.

I might even change my channel to Steam Deck reviews or something because I won't be playing this turd for the rest of the year.

Anybody know how to unpack the assets in the PC files? Looking for the messi image that appears after you pass the start menu.

Declining to comment on the abysmal experience that was my first 5-6 games. My opinion is the same as everyone here.

Just when PES 2021 was the best PES in years as well, then Konami go and do this.

I'll keep it installed to see how they evolve it, but as it stands it is not worth my time.

Is it me or do players get a random speed boost also is there no anti aliasing on pc? The game looks like a mess on high settings. The game randomly speeds up when ai tries to tackle. The collisions are all off and the controls are horrific. Honestly garbage wtf

That's why this game is free

I think there are a lot of us who share this sentiment, bro. This can only mean that the PES 2021 (and earlier) modding community will be alive for a long long time! That's the positive I can see in this situation!

Well I'll go back to my threads, bros. Peace. :)

Until efootball gets a serious upgrade which maybe at the earliest mid November or most likely January I will do this too.

I will play FIFA 22 but I'm in no rush since I don't have a PS5 yet, I don't care about it on steam or PS4. I don't care too much about the PS5 version, this will be for pure fun purposes or shared vs mates jokes.

Boy oh boy. I am going to completely have to re-write the script I kinda prepared to make my video come out a little faster. Wow. What a miserable turd, and it has nothing to do with any of the new stuff by the way. The feel -which is what made PES great, is completely gone here. Words fail me to describe what happened here. This game has absolutely nothing to do with everything that made PES great. They completely scrapped the gameplay and rebuilt it from scratch, and everything feels wrong. Nothing feels right. Nothing feel proportional to my input or to the player momentum. I feel that my player run isn't contributing anything to the final outcome of any kicks. Player movement on the ball is a mess. Off the ball? Extremely programmed and mechanical, with zero context to the opposition. They just mechanically move to their predesignated spots. While I'm on the ball, off-ball player movement is nowhere as nuanced or complex as it used to be in PES.

At this point, I suggest they take the rest of the year off, and work to bring back PES's feel on unreal.

The additions are in the right direction, but god what a turd of an execution. Don't get me started on player responsiveness. Too many negative points to cover. Sigh.
If only there were some warning signs that all wasn't rosy, before now.

Thats why I was saying those things, i could feel it in the beta and see it in the video leaks from a few weeks back.
Played it myself, streamed it for a while.

Im exactly appreciative at those simulations KnightMD is mentioning which is my Unique Selling Point to playing PES
It is COMPLETELY OBLITERATED and gone, Its so dumbed down that the comparison to a mobile game is quickly made.

I went in with no expectations with a little voice in my head saying, that only means if there is something good you can hold on to it.
But even though I like some ''Idea's'' and ''Concepts'' they added (Not a very big list)
Because of the full cheapness all around the board in so many aspects (and then even apart from gameplay some more) i cant even hold on to them.

Feel very gutted and depressed at this

This is my steam review of my pros and cons

Same here. FIFA at least had the decency of adding some of the new features (create a club, a couple of cinematics) to the PC version. PES2021 has become a somewhat worthy game with the modding community; we have thousands of stadiums, scoreboards, faces and if you want to do anything there's a lot of tools and tutorials to understand stuff. Also, at least until now (we'll have to see how the final release is) FIFA doesn't look to bad compared to other years.

I would love to know the truth behind this I genuinely believe they intended 2 years ago to make a PES 2022 UE5 full game but somewhere in development someone higher up pulled the plug maybe due to development costs?

Who knows but something has gone terribly wrong among a dev team already notorious for well .. getting things wrong

It's not hyperbole to say this is a technical, promotional, and marketing disaster of a game they couldn't even get the UI right it literally burns your retina maybe that was a design choice so by the time you enter the pitch you can't see how bad it is

For anyone who plans to play this over the next 12 months and spend money on it I wish you well..
