eFootball (All Platforms)

One thing I do like is that the running looks more natural, less robotic. Kits and player models look pretty good. That’s about it so far that I like.

once I can get the correct resolution on PC, and mod the game, I’m sure it will have a chance to be a pretty decent game after a few gameplay fixes.

If you want to Change Resolution go to: "Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\eFootball"
and click on "Settings.exe". Choose full Screen (third option).

After that go to "Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\eFootball\eFootball\Binaries\Win64" and Right click on "efootball.exe" and choose Properties.
Go to Compatibility and than click on "change high DPI Settings". Tick on all two boxes and than click ok and than apply.

I think I've been playing this game for a good hour. And it's very frustrating, already the L2 key allows some weird things... removing the square key in defense and putting that, I'm not sure it's very realistic.
But the frustration is especially that I have collective sequences that I like a lot, individual exploits quite explosive at times, I even find myself to find the game "beautiful" sometimes (scene of the beginning of the game, the players' approach ...) the physics of the players are better done, but on the other hand I really have falls of hope when I see some physical behavior, and the quality of images (too many collision bugs, lag, bright face that really gives the impression of a telephone game, or the catastrophic lawn)

there is potential, but the cross gen clearly shows that the game is limited.

As a PC gamer, my only hope is the modders, because I feel that this game has potential.
(I don't want to play PES 2020 for a third year I can't take it anymore... ahaha)

I agree there is a tiny slither of hope I kind of like the pace and the build can feel pretty good at times but they have ALOT of work to do because this feels so unpolished and poor. KONAMI has put out beta's that were better than this.

I think LIMITED is the key word. Nobody on pc or next gen console wants limited. Just looking at the menu settings, controls, it so limited compared to the last real PES (2021 season update).

Again, im actually glad they called this new game eFootball 2022, and have not branded it as PES. What do you guys reckon: Konami have thought about this, and in the event of a major fk up, like we have witnessed today, are fortunate its not literally associated with PES. And a proper labelled PES/WE can be released in the future. I really hope this is the case.

Btw, did anyone actually buy this game?? I mean the non-free version??

Yea some of my friend is an idiot and he buy it

So my conclusion is that efootball feels like if Konamis intention was to port FIFA (14) to the Nintendo GameCube, and added magical powers such as: stretchy people, invisible people, flat people, sliding people, ... (Any other bug found); made an AI that's 150% artificial -30% intelligence; and with wonky controls that also lag.

I hope the serious review sites tear them a new one. I had never picked up a game that felt like a 0/10 within all rights.

do you really think modders gonna be bothered with that game?

Boy oh boy. I am going to completely have to re-write the script I kinda prepared to make my video come out a little faster. Wow. What a miserable turd, and it has nothing to do with any of the new stuff by the way. The feel -which is what made PES great, is completely gone here. Words fail me to describe what happened here. This game has absolutely nothing to do with everything that made PES great. They completely scrapped the gameplay and rebuilt it from scratch, and everything feels wrong. Nothing feels right. Nothing feel proportional to my input or to the player momentum. I feel that my player run isn't contributing anything to the final outcome of any kicks. Player movement on the ball is a mess. Off the ball? Extremely programmed and mechanical, with zero context to the opposition. They just mechanically move to their predesignated spots. While I'm on the ball, off-ball player movement is nowhere as nuanced or complex as it used to be in PES.

At this point, I suggest they take the rest of the year off, and work to bring back PES's feel on unreal.

The additions are in the right direction, but god what a turd of an execution. Don't get me started on player responsiveness. Too many negative points to cover. Sigh.

I had no hype for the game after the almost non-existent marketing and tasteless gameplay videos Konami released, but...
WOW they have really done it, they achieved their goal to kill a 20 year old franchise in a fascinating way, I literally caught myself with my mouth open mid-match :OH:, I was spechless... I thought to myself: "what is this thing I'm playing?" there is so many things wrong in this "game" that it's easier to list the good points than the bad ones if there's really a good one to be found, maybe the cutscenes?

All players have round and rigid shoulders, that's a thing you only see in unreal engine games when a beginner is in charge of 3d modeling the characters, the only experience with the engine the devs at Konami seem to have is what they made with the mobile version, and that's what they did here: a mobile game trying to be an AAA title

I could go on and on but there's so many things wrong, so many dubious project decisions that I don't think it's worth posting a rant here, I'm just going to rest for now and try to not have nightmares with this game, stay safe folks.

Yes I think the game can be interesting to improve for moders fans of PES since years, I am obviously critical and disappointed (even if I had not too much hope) by this game but everything is not to throw away.

When I see the quality of some mods on PES 2020/2021 like the Endo pitch, the gameplay mods, the animation of Durandil's nets (I was never too critical on the nets, but on this efootball I find them really stiff) etc.. I have hope.

I just played a game (offline obviously, game speed -1) and I really enjoyed it, by setting my game (even if a 5min game is a bit ridiculous) I could have nice sequences of game, the AI is not too bad and tries to have advantages than on pes 2021.

Also, I think that Konami can make interesting updates for lack of having released a quality day one, because the base is not so bad as that.
