The video what he talking about is a FAKE It's PES 2018 with a lot of mods. He doesn't talk about horrible play test Hong Kong videos, he talks about the video that comes before that! IT'S 100% FAKE and he is right.

Only good thing about PES death for me is i started collecting physical copies finally. I kinda lost a few PS2 versions and mostly had PC disc versions which i cant even play nowdays without any DVD drive so and of course in the latter years digital only for PC... so now i bought like 12 games from the PS2 and PS4 era for about 30 bucks. This series is very cheap to collect. Sadly its hard to find games from the PS3 years and those PS2 versions on the other hand.

Don’t pay for that stuff - hopefully the PES Universe ‘business’ will disappear with eFootball over the coming months and years.

It's the same model but the "10" version from i think 1994 or 1995! My first football shoes with a real "brand" like Diadora
Before i used to buy some shoes that after 15 shots on goals, they literally exploded (no i'm joking for the price it was okay... But nothing comparable to those models the feeling and the impact no joke but a real pro model of footie boots is uncomparable. It's no joke, you feel completely different from a model to another well, at our respective levels of course)

But i gotted also indoor football shoes even more than real football boots, it's a pretty different feeling, less "hard" more malleable. Also, it was less durable (of course) but we played also a lot on flat pitch, more street with asphalt, we gotted all type of pitch type size were i was (like from 7-7 vs matchs, a bit like pitch for youth, perfect for us)

I was editor from PES 2020 and 2021, and sincerely it's a full time job. But i wasn't at all there before 2019 and thinked their OF was pretty bad.
We worked on a very ugly basis, and believe me sometimes it's harder to correct people mistakes than doing the thing yourself.

But they didn't say anything on their account, promising stuffs to people, hidden stuff to people thinked we were a big team... Yes, they're a big team of kitsmakers.
But in term of database we were... 2 and one helping for 6 teams (only) another 4 (that me and Huigoman got to restore from zero, so loss of time, only names were correct etc.).

All the rest you can see on the V7 is practically all mine and Huigoman (Bundes and Libertadores stats, i've redone practically all MLS players, J-league, 15-22 teams on others euro, remove duplicates on AFC... Created all Others Asia from scratch or older version and updated it. Things that the "boss" didn't even know it was possible to do. But i'm editing i mean "really" editing since PES 2! I even remember we rewrited Riquelme over Rivaldo as he left lol, and found that all player from PES 1 got "+10" in stats...)

Sincerely, if an editor is doing a job like i've done... I would say "it's like working. But for free". I received some small gift at the beginning then nothing.
If i count all i've done to reach V7 (EDIT/ i didn't worked on V6 for information but all until V5 and the last V7 first version yes, released pretty late, 5 july i don't even know what V6 looks like, should be plenty of errors but "he" wanted to release a version with transfers ASAP)... And even the last version, i forgot some "teds" and i wasn't done yet in my taste. Just imagine all the database to export... Mostly because of that MLS and their non stop transfers in and out. I never wanted MLS at first, but MX or whatever else, with transfers ending on February, not April.

So no to give to Pesuniverse, but to editors, under pressure for a new version etc. i changed my mind about the "doing all for free".
It depend on one big thing: -If you're doing it because you want it for yourself, or if you're doing stuff you don't even care or like for people.
I never wanted MLS, but i've done the teams faces and stats the best i could (there's 26-27 teams, all updated even in stats for every player, it's not a simple "update"...)
There's also the level of edition, precision that matters. I wouldn't pay for some O.F. i saw with just kits, players names, just changing hairstyle and a bit Overall and it's done. If i do the maths, i can do one league every 4 days by taking my time, if i got kits. The amount of work isn't comparable to check every single stats, build a system to gives overall like / if it was Konami standard, and you were a real data editor working for them. And building faces, assigning boots for all players, checking face in every angle (one big mistake that facemakers don't focus on : the side part of the face. I saw many player looking good from the front, but with a side part super strange with nose +7 length, mouth -7.... In game, the result looks super weird)

To be fair it's unfair to talk about graphics in the leaked footage from China because clearly the 3D grass wasn't ready, and we've already seen proof it exists in the Gamescom footage and confirmed by Kimura. What's not fair is that it's September and they don't have grass ready for their game that is supposed to launch in a few weeks. Tells me that their workflow was severely impeded by Covid and that they are releasing a barebones game missing kicks, missing the new supercancel, missing GRASS, missing tactic editing etc. Just unforgivable even for a demo, but this is by no means a full release.

It's free, so they just don't care anymore because they don't feel any pressure towards finalizing their work. People that got some early access on it are those myClubers and some people with lots of followers that are into eSports who can influence the "right" crowd. And when I say "crowd" they don't care about people like you or like me anymore because they have all the Asia who loves to invest in mobiles & microtransaction commodities. We are just a small forgotten part into this now, so don't get your hopes too high about those technical or realistic parts of the eFootball gameplay... It's F2P so expect every change that they'll do will be a slow process full of unfinished work that will reflect some consequences towards it, and for that reason they'll prefer the entire ocean of blind casual users instead of a small lake like us who are nitpicking everything...

I was wondering... What if, somebody or some group of people with knowledge in programing could get the UE5 license and open a kick starter to make a PES 5/6 (but called differently not Goalzzz ). By that I mean good FOOTBALL (that doesn't mean simulation at 100%), respecting the freeness of the play with just some minor changes, top notch graphics, no commentary at all, 100% fake leagues, fake teams, and fake competitions, but all considered by us just as slots for editing, a clean and simple UI, 100% just offline made for enthusiasts and modders, a simple but nice presentation, an improved team/player career mode, with the FIFPro license using a part of the funds, making a game for a niche crowd like us... Could be a lot of work, but kickstarter did some miracles in the past to support awesome talent... I'll donate & support something like it directly knowing that we also have in this world some spectacular modders... Think about it, legally can be achievable because everything will be fake and just the players could be used as official...

While we wait for an eFootball Master League, is it worth me getting the PES 21 season update even though I already have PES 20? I've played a bit of 21 Lite for some MyClub, but wondering if there are any gameplay and/or ai improvements at all with 21 over 20? I may just buy a physical copy anyway so I own the last ever PES, but keen to know if there are any improvements beyond squad updates.

My prediction is you will be waiting for a very long time.

Basically saying they will get them as soon as possible.

Thing is with the licenses. I can't even be Angry at EA about it now. Konami have given them a massive open goal to do this as their new model doesn't rely on league licenses. I even wonder if the new 'master league' will be reminiscent of what we used to see in the PS2 days in terms of team and league structure. An offline team building mode against the official PES licensed clubs.

Focus on what they said really, like interview etc., saying there will be 600 licenced clubs etc.
I don't remember where it was, i was a bit "how much? not possible" when i readed it, but it was like a promo for the game.
But they said licenced, that's means "kits/logo", perhaps you're right about the data i can't say the opposite.

The "promotion" stuff said "choose between 600 licenced clubs to build your team in our new mode etc." talking about the Myclub lookalike.

I've never received anything from Konami but even I am recently kindof looking forward to eFootball, at least the full version of it. Simply because of the new Physical Defending, 'Manual Dribbling' (remapped Finesse Dribbling to a 'gentle' tilt of left stick), the fact special kicks aren't random and require more time to pull off with more deliberation (R2), the fixed receiving animation when the ball is behind you, the easier supercancel, as well as other things I need to verify first, like the fixed collisions/fouls and the better ball physics.

Sure the graphics suck, the grass isn't ready, tactics aren't editable on launch, special kicks aren't doable on launch, and a whole bunch of crap. But it should all be fixed by Q1 2022. I just want to know the game will be editable with stadiums etc.

It'll also be the first time I start a ML at the end of a PES game season, so with fairly up to date squads it'll feel more like a PES 2022 hopefully.

If eFootball doesn't deliver a sufficient ML, then I'm sure PES 21 will keep me busy for a long time. Although without any knowledge at all of when eFootball will get it's ML mode, I have March in my head for some reason for that. But ML will only be worth it if the game plays well and the ai is decent. Doesn't sound particularly promising if they supposedly aren't putting much time into single player ai, but that's only speculation so will have to see what they deliver.

You're ignoring the whole "we've found a new crowd" bit. We already have nothing to play as both games are currently not for us. Why on earth should we hope it's a success? May both fifa & efootball die a miserable death, so that we may get a football game again instead of their e-sport 1v1 card collecting garbage.

Just watched your PES 21 analysis. Really well done and definitely feel it was worth getting this now. Hopefully I’ll get to try it out for the first time later!

The aim in eFootball is clearly in online play. They have given a promise of a ML dlc, but no date or any details. Since every other mode is only taking people away from the online game, it's not too hard to guess that they'll not be putting too much effort into them.

Online experiences in previous games have given me nothing to look forward to. So since this game is going to be free, I'll probably try it, but have zero expectations.

Then again, if I'm wrong and they truly are putting effort into ML, and I really hope they do, maybe this will turn out fine. I'm not holding my breath...

If it wasn't for the modding community, PES wouldn't have survived this long to begin with. It's like they kept releasing unfinished crap, knowing the modders would clean it all up for them ever year.

I thought I would play 1 last matchday the other week, whilst I had a clean install. I went in with a good mood & a "just have fun" mindset .. I played 3 games & ALT+F4. I personally have no clue how people play that shyt lol I Patched the game, added gameplay mod & an edit file with proper tactics so the AI can play some actual football and now it is a playable football game. It is not right that some talented fans are always fixing the game for them.
