eFootball (All Platforms)

Im pretty sure Konami would love EA's licenses.
Especially Bundes and PL/EFL/Liga. But 600 licenced team, it was on the presentation stuff of Efootball isn't "nothing", it proves that it will be a real database upcoming.

But a Pes-like, the first one called now Efootball and the next will be called UFL, won't survive without at least kits importing for bigs teams fakes in those bigs leagues.
I said PES-like, i could say FM too but for those games means Edit mode > Obligation. Or no rivals.

Fifa is thinkin' to do it in the future too, just look at their "create a team" mode : they want to have the same tool to replace Piemonte Calcio and the others.

But we all waiting in vain for a savior to said "stop exclusivity in game", just like i said i don't know where, i don't see anyone to got the power and the right to do that. Sports is normally representating Fair Play, it's all the opposite and they takes all of us for dumb with their exclusives teams.

So will PC get the "next gen" graphics we saw in the trailer at least?

Or we will get the shit that we saw on the leaked current gen gameplay that looked even more ass [especially the kits]?

So close to release and still no direct and clear confirmation on the status of pc port.

"Some Gringos forums". Are You taking the piss here ?

I guess he was playing too much Red Dead Redemption...

That remembers me of the scene from Borat in the hotel after he was playing some dice with some gangsta' ... :LMAO::LMAO::LMAO:

I just tried Dead or Alive on F2P. Same as an original DAO, no graphical dowgrade, graphically same as a "normal" game...
Just character to build, some story mode etc.
But it was exactly the same on Street Fighter V. It SHOULD have been a F2P game, because how empty the game was at the release, Capcom with that game... It's was just a complete mockery to players. Disprespectfull.

I know VS games are very very Esports, since way much longer than any other game but please, half of the roster wasn't present and no offline modes except perhaps Arcade, no History mode at all, fans has to wait more or less a year and half to get a full history mode.
Mortal Kombat 11 got packs of characters, but by far more complete, offline, online, everything was on. I didn't buyed it but a friend has. Same as the 10, same options, some differents characters etc., unlockable elements without money...

And extra character were really "extra", like the Joker, Robocop, Terminator, John Rambo, Spawn etc.
On SFV, it was the same as DAO F2P : way too much importants characters were absent. Fortunately, after some years, they make some surprise by sending some packs for free or History mode if i remember well.

SFV will confirm, i'm not 100% sure as it's not installed on my PS4 PRO but only on my PS5 (man, how small is the HDD! I didn't thinked there will be less place than on a PS4 pro...), but gotted a very big update after i buyed it on discount -50% digital etc.

No we are 20 days away from attending Pro Evo‘s funeral.

You like Fifa better from what i remember no? I don't since FIFA 17, and Switched to PES.
Fifa is not F2P but already dead too to me, and even worst than what i saw on the awful teaser and Chinese guys playing.

Not because one game is bad than the other is good. Both could be bad too, or "dead" too.

According to this Italian site, FIFA 22 will have 14 Serie A teams licensed in an *exclusive* way: https://gaming.hwupgrade.it/news/vi...clusiva-partnership-tra-ea-e-lega_100581.html

Two of them will apparently be licensed in both games, four of them (Atalanta, Roma, Lazio and Juventus) will only be licensed in eFootball (probably... Well, sooner or later... Should they ever be added for real, I mean).
That's what we call "vengeance". Remember PES 2020 exclusive Serie A and B?
Now the teams. I really, really hope they will keep the Edit mode. They need to focus on it for kits and teams appellations or they're dead.
I mean : all others football games upcoming NEEDS IT. Not only Efootball, but UFL, Goals etc.

"Exclusive" what a ugly word it as become...

Cool if you enjoy DOA, but you know the free part it's just the "core fighters"... and after that well, there are 460 DLCs to purchase , and all of them costs at least was in 2019 a total of $1,289.79. The same happens with eFootball, free will be just those 9 teams, then what will happen and if will charge for every team, well, we don't know but we can speculate... Speaking about fighting games in my case I'm more inclined to Mortal Kombat developed by Netherealm (played it from the first one in 1993 to date). I prefer the classic model when it's full price at first and then gets cheaper and cheaper the entire package, than free from the beginning like a demo, and charge me after for every single skin...

No no, i just tried, i just remember some stuffs here and there.
It was just to make a comparison : some F2P games could be more or less identical to some full price games.
About Efootball, we don't know a thing about prices, so... Let's wait.
There will be tons of stuffs who aren't any impact in game neither graphically. Like some Old classics kits, some old shoes like for example Diadora Baggio (i gotted them when i was young lol) etc.

DAO, there was tons of costumes etc. not necessary for the gameplay, or mode or whatever. But if there were a "standard" edition, the game wouldn't cost more than 65-70 euros, like every others games who have the same price, and tons of 5 to 20 euros DLC. Not necessary at all, it's just some add-ons.
What matter is how much in Efootball will cost : database, and mode. I won't buy Myclub and Become a Legend for example. But i will buy Edit, League mode, and some others offline Cup mode.
It's unknown for the moment, better to not make hasty conclusions regarding others games, it's a first in a football game, mode are pretty differents, rosters and system of leagues/teams too... So it's kinda complicated.
I don't think offlines modes will be that expensive. Except the new Myclub. They already got packs and all so it's already good enough for them i think.
I assume they will "invent" some new offline mode aswell. Or some participations with big top players will be paid.
But no one here is an Esport player, so we don't really care.

Totally agree, that we can't go deep into this F2P model of eFootball without knowing how they'll use it for the first time. But in this regard talking about those 600 teams that you've mentioned earlier... what if they'll charge for all of them one by one? You'll buy them all? or just some for the edit? You know all those can cost more than the entire collection of PES from the last 25 years... of course without taking in count those classic kits. (playing with our nostalgia...)

So we are 20 days away from the official release of the "game" (demo to be more accurate), and there's not a single direct Feed official gameplay.
Because it’s shit and they know it is. Even when Konami have had a mediocre PES in the making, they’ve still marketed it pretty well and tried to make out that it was better than it actually was.

Behind closed doors at eFootball HQ, they know that they’re in the process of rushing out a half-baked turd. And that’s why they’re keeping quiet about it.

That’s my theory anyway

That's why i said "it's complicated" lol about the 600 teams, i have no clue about it. But i figure it out that for example AFC CL will be an extra mode. Plus they've got 8 teams more than last year, and it's a lot of work.
I think to buy them all yes, as i'm editing a lot.

If i got some hope about the game, is because i saw AI, and they weren't that dumb as i thinked it would be. So it's a good point for offline. Now for the rest... Kimura said clearly it's a game "in building" and there will be more and more updates to come.
Even i think some gameplay changes, probably yearly. But i'm thinking the biggest issue as @Sami 1999 mentionnned, is that you can't go rewind, if you preferred the older version. Except if they release a "Efootball 2"... We don't know, but i've readed carefully and that Kimura isn't that dumb as i thinked. It's not that i agree with him in all, but i understand his logic. Even gameplay talking. He really wanted a change, as PES got a bad reputation, they've did everything to restore the licence, even some pretty good version, but it was hard, and EA who were already rich gained more and more money. PS3 era was the start of the end of PES, replaced by FIFA (but i liked the guys behind Fifa's team, EA... It's another story, just the fact they killed some games like Top Spin and removed Bundes from PES was too much to handle for me lol, they were devilsh. Konami was a bit pushed by the events and became the same)

People buyed Fifa by default, like us when we buyed PES by default, even if FIFA 08 was overally better for example, i mean in terms of simulation. But i came back from the days, i like PES 2008 as a "PES 6 HD" with less effectiveness in pressing : i just tackle much more than on PES 6 to cut shoots and passes, that's the way Seabass wanted us to play. But technically, it was pretty rigid, and in HD the movements were too much flashy.

Yes, the main problem with those F2P live service games is that they can (pardon my French) fuck up your entire work in a blink of an eye via those weekly official updates (because will be an always online connection), so your work could be at risk if they are changing "licenses" about teams or players during the night...

The second atrocious problem about "live service" is what you just mentioned: seasonal "upgrades" when they decide to overwrite everything that you've purchased in the current year just because in the future there will be a new season with a new roster update/ new promoted teams/new players, that could influence dlcs purchased in the current year, and they can also upgrade the "edit mode". I mean it's cool to edit, but with those live services I see it very tedious, expensive, and you can't secure it in the online environment because everything it's very sensible to their change... With the gameplay will happen the same, could be good or acceptable at first and in a few weeks they can change everything...

My third point is the "always online" situation... I'm playing PES on PC always (I also played it on PC when I was a toddler but with gamepad of course), and from the moment they added "eFootball" to PES 2020 and 2021 I really can't run the default game in the steam offline mode. That means those last 2 games are chained to their denuvo anti piracy & server, and if they decide to shut those down, I'll not be able to enter in PES 2020 or 2021 games without installing a mod with an external .exe or pirated cracks... and my point is that eFootball will have something even worse if it will be full "live service" taking in count that if they'll decide someday to shut down their servers and shill just to the mobile market, everything will be gone; and the game without their servers will be just like a lifeless husk...

Well, i won't say i don't have the same problem about actual PES... You know what i'm doing now? Facebuild i've done last year on every NT, i got to recuperate it... Every season the same, and no other way to (thanks to the actual tools) base copy PES2020 appearance. No other way.
So as an editor... If i save the previous teams, as an example, is a way o do it. There's others way (screenshoots). But i always founded or prepared a system in case of. Others editors too.

We have no clue in fact what will happen with next season. Mostly a replacement, perhaps just a change and keep your edits (except ig players removed from your team, i really don't know but that may happen) perhaps you will keep your edits.
No idea in fact, how they could manage it. I'll see and adapt. Like i always did.... Of course if i got the courage to continue editing. Because sometimes, i think "i should do something more constructive instead, i lost my time and don't even play".
The future will tell. FTM it's too confusing, too rushed, the game HAS to be released on the 30 (probalby a day one patch, for those super big bugs) and we don't even know if the series will continue.

I hope it will. Don't want a monopoly from Fifa as i don't feel "football" on it anymore but... FIFA, like if it was another sport (not joking), and i like having my annual football game, even not that good or average.... But if i don't feel it as a football game as i said with FIFA, i can't consider it as my yearly usual stuff.

UFL gives me hope, but i don't think at all it will even at current Fifa level at the launch. But perhaps, in some years... Well whatever. I got many games on my radar, so no problem.

Haha, annoying as such a tweet is, I think it's meant to be about the Konami playtests coming up.

Spoony Pizzas put up this today, and another YouTuber (Camaldinho) something similar. So I think by Tues/Weds we'll have some hands-on feedback by some English-speaking playtesters at least.

Sigh, another year they wouldn't give me anything to playtest. Sigh.

spoony pizzas can piss the fuck off... what a shill this man is.

Isn't this exclusive licensing a kind of monopoly?
Depends, as there's still Fifpro to have the teams in game. FIFA don't got a system to at least restore the team kits, emblems, names.
Fifa people and Juventus fan in the same time, or Roma fans got to play with Piemonte Calcio or AC Italiane Capitale, no change until the end.

PES and probably Efootball are used to that, and found a way to counter that with kits to apply, changing names, etc., the only issue is for Xbox users.
UFL should too. simple to apply
... But the issue is for Xbox users. From what i heard they also want to run Xbox (well it was a conversation leaked like in June) so perhaps a "store" or importing image from the internet (a bit too hard to me) as they don't allow image importation neither Teds, or option file. It's in their planning.

The exact sentence was "The new guy (didn't know "Kimura" wants also Xbox users, everyone on his side, including kits system".

Perhaps it will be like the old time a full option file but with all images stored in.... I don't have a clue how they will proceed, and if they will proceed like this.
But for people who said "Edit mode? hahaha like if they care", seriously it's a big concern to them, for PL and LIGA, even if you're not a fan, some player got City as a favorite team as they're very strong on paper, and what about Real... Like i said, big concern to fight against Fifa. And there's some Xbox user, who are waiting for this since the X360 (modded of course)

UFL and Goals has to do the same or their like we said here "dead in the egg"
Even Myclub user (who will be "different") want to have Real Madrid to start their campaign. Way too much fans on England and Spain.

Sigh, another year they wouldn't give me anything to playtest. Sigh.

Truly unfair, mate, but maybe in their own benefit. Your videos provide a level of analysis way beyond the superficial views of an ordinary youtube hands-on tester. I was really hoping Konami would give you early access, you actually do them a favor by showing people what their game is capable of doing.
