eFootball (All Platforms)

Yes, i didn't saw it. Youngers loves doing skills by themselves. It's would be very weird now that i think about it to completely remove skills.
You're probably right, but let's wait, they're doing so weird choices that it's pretty confusing and hard to guess what's next, in everything they're presenting.

Teamate press button was there since Iss Pro FFS. It NEVER caused problem, why removing it?
Cross platform, and with Mobile they will have to compensate for it. Since Mobiles aren't nearly as powerful as a Console or PC , they need to have some things taken away and that will create an advantage for PC/Console user so they just removed it completely .

A french youtuber thinks that Konami knew already that new football games will be released, free.

That's why they changed their plan about the futur of the game

I see a lot of people going back and forth here.

So lets summarise. Pure facts, nothing else. eFootball means:

- No offline modes till at least 2022
- no edit mode till later
- simplified tactics
- simplified controls
- simplified gameplay
- some kicks and even ball trapping not available at launch

Then you have trailer, probably made by the same guy who did the intro to Star Wars in 70's, players who look like a stickers on Football Album and obvious bugs like ref with a flag running across the pitch and player faces that look like they are trying not to shit themselves.

If you still think that there is a magic version of Pes, hidden in a closet, that will blow us out of the water - you are in denial.

If you still think that solution to all your problems will be to switch Cross Platform button Off and you will magically get proper next gen version this way - you are in denial.

Max (and I do mean absolute Max) that you will get this way is better graphics.
Do any of you really think that you will get more indepth gameplay, more controls and more tactics on next gen when you turn filter off? Do you really think Konami wouldnt mention it at any stage, trying to save their faces here?

Its up to you if you choose to hold on to false hope, but thats all that is - false hope. Every single statement, announcement and info we got clearly states that this is cheap, simple and shallow F2P game, aimed for mobile users. There is nothing next gen about it. There isnt even much old gen about it.

This latest trailer is undoubtedly another blow but I don't think it's beyond hope that there might at least be more tactical options to come, perhaps offline only as part of a ML DLC. It's very obvious they haven't yet got anywhere near a finished product, with so much content already being tagged as "coming later", so it's anyone's guess which of the current barebones offerings could be filled out later.

For online play, I don't think having a small set of preset tactics is such a bad idea - it could stop people exploiting formations, etc and also stop people wasting time before the start of a match tweaking things for as long as the game permits.

For controls, they may also listen to community feedback if there's a huge clamour for missing controls like 2nd defender press, RAS cursor switching, dummy/step-over ball when receiving pass, etc.

The fact that they're potentially going to have competition for online play in the form of 3 other games may also mean they may try to be more innovative in the future (although they may go the other way and feel trying to innovate is no longer worth the time and cost and focus purely on the quickest and cheapest money-making gimmicks).

In terms of retaining v alienating their existing fanbase, I still think they have a chance but the next 6-12 months are critical for them.

In top of that, there are few things to add that are less relevant:

- simplified UI designed for touch screens and themed for sweedens
- simplified download (directly you can press "Install App" button on the Google Play Store)
- simplified in game store (no need for myClub, opening your game you'll be there directly)
- simplified ways to compete (buff your teams with ambassadors that left embassies)
- simplified tutorial (just spam "X" or "A" button until the end while it shows you how to get coins)
- simplified notifications (don't need to be in game; they'll pop up eventually in the top center of your phone screen)

Now seeing all those design flaws, I'm thinking seriously to cancel my preorder...

Maybe im the only one thats happy that they removed the right stick for clownesque skillmoves. In a real match you see those rarely. I think they died when Ronaldihno retired.

Kimura is the Bartomeu of PES. This fucking guy will probably get the sack even earlier than Arteta from Arsenal. At least i hope so.
Also..there is a possibility that all this shit is happening because some villager somewhere in China decided to cook and eat a fucking bat soup..Let that sink for a minute..Life is strange ain't it..

What do you mean by "classic PES", on console? No i don't think. The new stats that will make the teamate pressing will be on every version for sure for example. About the rest, there's adds of feature i don't even know what they mean with the analog, like boost running etc. yeah it's not bad a kind of come back of double tap effectiveness / but i hate running with R2 in the other side. Well...
By classic pes mostly referring to the ps2 era

One thing I don’t understand about this f2p thing. How are they gonna get players keep playing the game ( ie spending money) one or two years from now when all the teams are full with Ronaldos, Mbappes, Neymars etc?? Are they gonna reboot peoples teams every year like they do with every new version of FIFA or PES?

Huh, FIFA mobile approach, I suppose - seasonal reboot. Last season's squad becomes legacy team, still usable in some rare legacy events. EA used to do that 2-3 years ago with their mobile title, don't know if it still does

You actually see them A LOT. PES skills are not like FIFA skills and most of them consiste in creating space, or either handle the hall towards where you want. For example, Iniesta croqueta is a mix of left and right stick moves, or stepping on the ball and passing it behind your other foot is also a mix of both sticks, are quite useful, and are the kind of moves you still see quite much in a real match.

So if I spend my freaking money into getting players, you say they will erase them and I will loose ma money? Da fuck?

You watched eFootball Official Gameplay Trailer mate. 😅

Erm, we waited over a month....... for that !!!?!

WTF?!!? the turf looked hard and flat like a school desk, the lighting was way way off, the Ui horrendous, and the music in that video .... did they just choose a free clip from the youtube free sounds library?

And did I see the ability to 'kick the ball hard' is coming as a later, probably paid for, update?!!!? seriously!?!?!?!

Not a single mention of Master League.....

I'm done.

Exactly, it has nothing to do with FIFAs street style crap. With this 1v1 thing they are focusing on and the dumbed down controls I'm afraid they are aiming for easy to perform "cool- looking" tricks though, much like FIFA.

Tricks and feints as paid DLC is not something is gonna happen. Would be too much of a P2W difference to make those moves paid with characters that can actually make it.

However, if they add an online BAL mode, be ready for microtransactions in 2K style. You will be able, probably, to farm out your character and buy those moves with points, but no doubt you will take ages to do so and will have a magic button to skip the farming through hours of play, of course in exchange for your €.

Is not the model of business I support, precisely, but I would be ok with it as long as I get gud gameplay. But since this is Konami and they are making a mobile game port... Well... He... Just forget about complex, elaborated gameplay. There will be some nice additions, and the game will become more dynamic, focused on the one on one, that as I said, is not necessarily bad if it's made in a correct way, but if it is at cost of the tactic and strategical elements of the game, that's bullshit. Another 11vs11 FIFA Street game.

I haveore faith in this new UFL, tbh, even FIFA 22. Both will give us the same kind of gameplay, but with a solid tested engine, and at least I will have to do the special dribblings with the right stick and certain timing.

Essentially, for me it all depends if at the end I have the RS being of some use or we will be back into pre PES 2020 style of dribbling, which was all made with the special controls button (right trigger if I am not wrong), that by the way right now are shared with sprinting command, that btw is called dash now. Dash. Like this was some kind of MOBA where characters make small dashes. In football dash has been always go for a ground dashing tackle. So I could legitimately think that now the dashing tackle is in the RT/R2 instead of B/O (actually it's what I thought first glance until I guessed that HAD TO BE SPRINTING). They are not good even to comunicate their shitty controls.

Dunno, I might give a chance half a year or more after release, depending on the critics, but for the moment I'll pass.

Like a few of you have said, this game was 1000000% a last minute change of plan, I anticipated mid to late 2020.

It’s all so unfinished with no firm direction or ideas that Konami are willing to hang their hat on. So much ambiguity because they don’t have a scooby what to do. I’d love to see the state of their offices in sheer panic.

If anyone here has ever forgotten about a meeting or presentation at work and you just have to go in and blag your way through it with enough ambiguity, bullshit and “I’ll have to look into that on our files and get back to you later via email” - this is exactly what Konami are doing with their game 😂

Again, I was wondering the exact same thing.

What an absolute mess

I have never known a new release of any game to actually look WORSE than the previous release.

‘We are rebuilding from the ground up’

The shadows are awful, the faces are fuzzy, the game has 9 teams on launch ….. 9

I almost cannot believe they seriously are saying there is an ‘sharp kick’ coming soon … speechless

it’s 100% a crappy mobile game

Mobil(e) football

The most important thing is the result of the tricks triggered.. control being easy is fine and why not as long as stats still matters and timing required to make the tricks successful.

Ah thanks.

It follows that there are lots of people that are prepared to spend real money, accept a seasonal reboot, and start over again!

I find that difficult to understand, but I suppose that's already been happening with traditional yearly releases.

I actually enjoy starting out and building with a weak team each year(mainly in ML), but the problem with Myclub for me, is that it's too easy to get a team of superstars quickly (and that's without spending real cash).

Yes, we're talking about double pressing. Normal pressing is still there (hopefully)
But if you decided to choose Pirlo and press all the match with him : it remains the same, my example was about player you don't have direct control.

You can always found a contradiction a + and a - in every choice. Sometimes more + than - sometimes the opposite.

What was, in PES 2020 demo (only demo?), the solution for not spamming the double/triple pressing? I don't remember at all.

Well on PES 2021 i don't found pressing as much effective as it was before on higher difficulty, i got to tackle more (standing, but also sliding). And double pressing is a bit less effective than before. So they downgraded pressing effectiveness, but tacles are. Well i got many fault and when i play agressive the other team play the same way... So weirdly, i don't have that "no fault" issue. But bad referee decision still.

Personnally about efootball, i will follow (even if it was already decided in fact lol) one member purposed : not playing it at launch. But later, when it will be "restored" or finished if you want. I don't think it will before 2022. I'll be playing retro and less retro (Pes 21 to PES 3 lol, i already replayed too much PES 1 and WE5FE some year ago; as it was both my favorite in terms of challenge even with the restriction. Also the one i probably played the most, so very good memories cames back)
Please share your secret of the sliding tackle in 2021 - I manage around 3 a season :CONF:
