eFootball (All Platforms)

So right stick controls have disappeared? The only good thing that PES 2020 added in just disappeared? Huge step back. Maybe they add it in a future update but I am not optimistic. If they don't game will become again too simple.
Looks like some one is trying to jump over the fence :LMAO::LMAO::LMAO:

If they do this properly, they will have better graphics, better animations and if the controls are proper, better gameplay, meaning they are going to take eFootball away from the market if they focus on the same formula, this is, online competitive game. With subpar animations and same model of business and game, and maybe worse gameplay, they will need to focus back on off-line to survive.

When Weedens announced he won't be working for Konami anymore, this was one of the replies

I suppose he must be happy with efootball now. I mean he is the one who wanted him to be gone anyways. I am sure he enjoyed those 2 trailers.

I think he did still the next gen teaser in 2020 with Messi probably. Thats why he thinks he was part of the false advertisement campaign.
At least thats my theory.
I think he is saying sorry to all of the fans who had to witness that horrible trailer
But obviously he does not have to, he left just over a month before the efootball announcement, and a few weeks before the NFG Beta, so I think he saw all that coming and didn't want to be involved with any of that, and left. Good for him, Hell for Konami.

Bro every game is developed on pc 😂

Yes, but my point was that they were doing a gameplay trailer with that "development" showing how cool is the mobile version straight from their developing machine (PC). That's how bad was the trailer, because nobody knows which footage/capture should correspond to what platform...

I'm new to this thread and evo web as a whole and would like to show some images comparing pes 2014 at the end of its life (June 25 2014) and Efootball in its trailer.

As terrible as I thought the beta was and this latest look doesn’t give confidence , the strategy itself isn’t surprising to me.

PES won’t be the last IP to go this route, ever since the success of the likes of Ultimate Team and the Free to play stuff like Fortnite, executives across publishers will always be looking at ways to fill their wallets more and more.

Look at the PS3/360 generation, Call of Duty became a ginormous IP throughout those systems life cycles and other publishers wanted in on that so we got a stream of First Person Shooter titles looking to cash in.

It’s all about the money, even outside of gaming. Look at YouTube, a few years ago who would of thought a uploader would only recognise a comment if it had money along with it (Superchats).

IMO the only way things change is apathy to the circus.

My thought...
1. Wrong footed defenders will be fun in general.. in a modern PES mechanic feel. Good for those who enjoys PES 2021.
2. Graphics, i could not care less, since my pc is still ready for mods which hopefully evo-web modder will not retire soon to stop creating.

3. There must be negative in evo-web. The GK animation some moves still just does not look organic enough, brought from pes 2020/21.
4. Menu.. forget it
5. Couldn't tell how ai will utilize this dribbling and whether they'll fix too far gap between mid and forward positioning. We'll see.

Honestly, i like some of the 1 v 1 elements, not too much footsliding. Clearly, its a marketing disasterclass, and a very early build (nets, lighting and graphics) but judging it as a f2p game, it has potential. Remember, its not PES anymore.

Somehow, Konami have exploited the fact that its f2p and they think its justified to not release a finished article. I had kept my expectations low and i was not surprised.

This place wouldn't be the same without it. :)

The trailer is better than the last piece of crap they put out.

I'm excited about the new dribbling and movement mechanics but really worried about everything else.

It's clear they are trying to hide the glaring bugs they are sorting out as we speak, so i have a feeling its going to be very similar to PES 2018 where it might be a incredibly good game by say January next year, but on release its unplayable.

Still a bit busy now so i may speak about this in a podcast or something but the issues Konami have right now all relate to the 'tron running' flaw which plauged every single fox engine PES game from 2014-2021. Everything needs to be redone and fine tuned and its taking a very long time.

I do not think vs CPU matches will be playable properly till October. All the fox engine CPU code must be redone ans needs many months of testing. Hence this glorified deno release strategy they have.

Konami have airbrushed the flag from history now. BOOOOO!

Even the photoshop is a terrible job. Open the image full-screen, zoom to where the flag was and you can see it's a big blurry blob with a slight halo around it, compared to the texture around it.

I'm not saying "that's it Konami, I'm not downloading your game cos you can't even use Photoshop properly"...

But it all paints a picture, that nobody really cares that much. It mounts up - the lies about the next-gen focus, the lies about it being a whole new game, the amateur nature of all their presentation (from the Lidl colour scheme to the scrolling pages of text on the trailer, like the beginning of a Star Wars film FFS), Messi looking like "holding in a fart guy" in their own official images, that nobody spotted a linesman running around the field in their official screenshots, and now this.

If they don't care, why should we.

My Friends it's a disaster. Konami never learn!
We all love PES franchise and the start of €football is terrible! Bad buzz is hard to reverse. Why they didn't show only nextgen version to show the potential of the game?
Piqué and Inesta for motion capture? Why not Pelé ??? Barcelona have a lot of young talents, i don't understand. It's a free game and after two bad trailers, i don't want to test it.

Where are the news? Game modes? Etc?? Release date?

My goodness the ball resembles a kids float away ball with a magnet inside. Had low expectations but still managed to be underwhelmed.

Release date?? In the future can't be more accurate when staying in Konami mode.

This efootball pic actually looks good/decent compared to the pes14 shot, like a lot of these tunnel and player walk-out shots. Its the inconsistencies n crappy gameplay footage that looks unfinished and unprofessional.
