eFootball (All Platforms)

Nopes, I have not played any version yet. Not the "New Football Game", nothing. Why would I want to play that? Its nowhere near the final code. Have you played the final version?
Now *you're* making assumptions. How do you know it's "nowhere near the final code"?

Same argument, different year. The PES 2018 beta... Almost identical to final code. The demos... Same. But this year? Lo and behold, a "long time lurker, brand new member" joins to say THIS TIME... It'll be different.

Well, maybe it will! We ALL hope it will.

But history tells us the odds are against it.

If you don't like the scepticism, don't read it, right? Plenty of places glossing over the facts out there (i.e. the poor, basic gameplay of the beta - referred to by their own PR guys as a DEMO in their chats to Eurogamer and IGN).

This happens every time. "It's not the final game, it'll be better!", "Wait for all the lies info! Don't judge before it's released and you've given them your money!". It never was better on release lol.

Lol, the basically a demo tweet is spreading like wildfire online and it backfired hard.

Will they be forced to anticipate the unveiling of their complete plan, that is if they have a plan?

Do you remember these teaser photos from back in 2006 or 2007, when Konami was working on this "amazing next gen" transition from ps2 to ps3?

Total BS!

I feel I have been getting fooled by them ever since. What they are doing now with all these vague photos, teasers and information is not much different from those times, right?

Back in the day I didn't had much access to internet.

When I saw PES 06 not looking like this, I thought these screenshots were from PES 2007.

I searched for PES 2007 for years and then one day I found out 7 years later.

Oh btw, even the untucked shirts didnt make it in PES 06 next gen.

If you dont like my optimism dont read and respond to it, right?

Why being mad about a game? Think about it. If you dont like it, let it go.

Then stop playing. What keeps you here?

If the game is basically a demo then they should release it now, treat it like a beta to get community feedback and update/improve it through that feedback. They have released demos of previous pes games months before a final release that have benefited from that approach.

Imagine registering to a forum of users being passionate about a certain game and telling them not to be passionate about that certain game. And yet you're the one calling others "illogical". You're funny, I like that.

Trying to understand their logic belike:

I'd say Konami knew what they were doing coming out with such a sh** trailer, they lower our expectations year on year and then will eventually come out and say ML will be there and you can play 1v1 (which it seems they have), and because our expectations are that low some fans will be be thankful that such features are there and applauding Konami for including them for the 'core fans'.

Its like the usual 5 steps back 1 forward they take every year deleting features and shouting from the rooftops about standard features that have been there every year anyways...

we had to stop talking about "final" or "final code" what is "final" in Games as a Service ?? we don't talk anymore about the yearly cycles where the game is final by release.

this is a marathon and yes in "autumn" we get a demo and maybe in aspects of gfx and physics the game will get "final" anytime 2022 with UE5?

Games as a Service is an ongoing process... but i have the hope that updates and bugfixes are now MUCH more faster than in previous years.

as you mentioned it; no code build discussions this year, i see.
i bet the game shown in the trailer was only 16,78% final code!
;)

I do believe there are people in the PES community like that, where the game has become so tied to their identity that merely seeing people who are not as positive as they are is personally injurious to them.
I think this is very true. It's a sort of tribalism that becomes so engrained in them.

I have another theory too, that some of the most vociferous Konami defenders are recent ex-FIFA players. The WEPES subreddit has a lot of these new "converts", who look at PES (the newest games as well lol) with these rose-tinted spectacles, eager to cast themselves as having now seen the light, having escaped the evil dark clutches of EA.
