Here's what he actually "predicted" before, below. A lot of it just word soup. Conspiratorial nonsense as well ("change your myClub kit before opening a lootbox and get a better result!").
A plonker of the highest order.
The disturbing thing is some of his posts were garnering quite a few likes. I swear some people will lap up any old dross as long as it sounds upbeat. This individual had a level of detachment from reality that even the Flat Earth Society would distance itself from. Right away I felt something was off, anyone who claims to have been "keeping tabs" on an internet forum for over ten years is quite likely not operating with a full deck of cards. The way he took the announcements as verifying everything he had said required a level of doublethink that only the most deranged fanatic could pull off. I hope for their sake it was just a troll but equally I do believe there are people in the PES community like that, where the game has become so tied to their identity that merely seeing people who are not as positive as they are is personally injurious to them.
I mean Konami puts out a few tweets with information that should have obviously been there with the initial reveal, and he acts like it's a revolution in customer relations that will be studied in marketing classes, lauding the fact they are taking player feedback into account, which is an interesting way to spin damage control.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 WHOS LAUGHING NOW ? DONT SAY I NEVER TOLD YA 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😉😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow, amazing, are we sure this guy didn't have insider info with that level of accuracy? Never mind the fact that my toaster could have predicted there would be options for crossplay in a cross-platform game, and that it was literally confirmed a week ago in the Japanese intervew.
One of my main points goes back towards the engine and how that unreal engine was mainly implemented for the cross play and development process who knows fix engine might still be running the gameplay elements whilst unreal is doing a whole different job for the game.
Hardly a knock-down argument is it? Konami explained that themselves in the IGN interview, not to mention that it's blatantly obvious to anyone that is sentient and someone actually predicted it on this thread weeks if not months ago. And no, there aren't two engines running at the same time you spanner. 🤦♂️
This is such a huge green flag to say hey we are seeing and listening and we will clear up the shitstorm... Who knows maybe the shitstorm was part of their plans to show us something dumbed down and then wow us all with the next gen and final production gameplay and graphics.
Ah yes, it was all part of the grand strategy. On the one hand the reason they haven't shown the game in a good light is simply because they "don't market right in the UK", but at the same time they are pulling off these genius reverse psychology marketing ploys, makes total sense.
1. PES WILL BE NEXT GEN AND ON PC
Yes, in contradiction to the Reddit guy who said it wouldn't be at launch. (Whose posts 90% of the nonsense you initially wrote was based on).
2. IT WONT BE DUMBED DOWN TO KEEP UP WITH A SMARTPHONE
The graphics won't be changed because they can scale independently
to an extent. That says nothing about animation, physics, AI, netcode, game speed, etc. etc. We know next to nothing about what limitations the gameplay will need to have in order to be interoperable with mobile devices. Judging by New Football Game, probably quite a lot. Claiming this is a victory is so fucking idiotic it beggars belief. The whole reason the Reddit LARPer came up with the idea of auto-scaling is because it allowed the possibility of next-gen gameplay in spite of crossplay, or multiple games within one so to speak, with that idea out of the window then it can only mean the gameplay will be scaled to the lowest device out of the box.
3. MASTER LEAGUE IS CONFIRMED NOT FINISHED 😂
Look at him laugh-crying at the fact Master League is now an after-thought. And there were people who thought this worthy of a thumbs up...
The only semblance of a point he had is that this is clearly meant to be a long-term project, and just because it will probably be bad to begin with doesn't mean it always will be. Although we can forget the idea of ever having a truly next-gen PES, if they've built a properly future proof cross-device platform that could last the next ten years, and it doesn't crash and burn causing Konami to pull the plug, then it could turn out to be a good decision in the long run. However if the gameplay is similar to NFG (and especially if FIFA 22 is good) then I think there is a real danger that eFootball turns out to be a catastrophic failed experiment.
