eFootball (All Platforms)

Never seen a game show such DISREGARD to the hardcore fans in my lifetime.

Like even if the game somehow does well, it will be down to newer players and will have nothing to do with the actual fan base of the game.

I guess they’ve basically been setting us up for years as they’ve become increasingly secretive with the game with less and less people we the consumers could actually communicate with that had direct connections to Konami themselves. Now that they’ve built a kind of wall around themselves they can do something like this and basically ignore the backlash.

So sad reading comments from people who have been playing for the game since basically the year I was born. I started playing PES during the era where certain PCs came with WE 8 already installed and It’s been such a ride. Like you all I was always drawn to how much I could edit and play with game in edit mode. So long to one of the best video game series ever made, now that I think of it they also agree with our sentiments as they’ve now taken “PES” out of the game title..

Cold hard facts are that Konami, post Seabass era, have never known how to develop a football game, never.
From the horrendous clunky UI, right down to the poor fonts, and awful colour schemes they use, to the illegible Japanglish text in game, ridiculous scripted robotic commentary, and lack of any effort with regards to presentation within the game, yet despite all the failings, underneath was always a spattering of something magical game play wise.

It took the community, largely a bunch of passionate fans, amateur coders and people willing to learn and invest time into making Konami's game the game that it was, without option files with full kits and badges, and pc mods with a plethora of amazing tweaks to make the game look 1000 x better than what Konami produced, the PES series would have died long ago, way before they ever had chance to cash in and make a kid friendly mobile game.

Konami owe everything to this fan base, who improved their product beyond recognition year up year upon year, a fanbase so dedicated and loyal that even after being fobbed off every year, lied to, fed mistruths, and had their pleas ignored, still stayed loyal to the series and invested time, money and dedication in to the millions of hours of PES related YouTube videos, live streams, forum posts, option file making etc.
Without all this Konami wouldn't even have a game left.

Yet, the betrayal, disrespect and complete lies that konami have pushed upon this fanbase shows absolutely no loyalty, respect or consideration, for the people who kept their product alive.

Exactly why they've removed all ties to the PES name. We've been dropped, we're not giving them enough money. We're giving them RRP each year to play ML, and not enough people buy it to keep the investors happy. They don't care about us. We are nothing to them but a dollar sign.

The myClub guys are many, many dollar signs. There's a much younger audience on mobile, and who part with money even more easily. If they remove the entry fee, so everyone can give it a go and get hooked... It'll be 10x the audience that would pay RRP just to try it.

This is a new game for that audience. Anyone who seriously hopes for anything more... Go and get PES 5. Seriously. It'll make you happy.

Technically you can. Basically what you can do is for mobile you let users download a cloud gaming client made specifically for PES and they play game through the streaming client. Takes less space but requires great connection.

Cheers mate! So at least its possible.

So no more teams , BAL , competitions , nothing ? I guess pes 2021 will be the focus of updating till death do us apart xD

So... where would one seek information about installing say, PES 3-6 on a personal computer? I ask for no particular reason

I still they Will explore every opportunity of making money and DLCs is a big thing.

Its possible they Will release more of the same ML for this, charge money for every Stadium.

Nail on the head. The mobile game had over 400 million downloads ( https://www.konami.com/wepes/2021/eu/en/ps4/topic/game-wepes2021-17701 ) They just want the small percentage of those people to buy in and splash on the micro transactions and they will make way more money than from those us left still buying the game for 50-60 bucks each year.

there are plenty of sites where you can acquire a copy of said PES, I cant mention them here due to forum rules but googling PES 5 download for example should provide some obvious routes

I always waited for a Football game that would look almost real in both graphics and gameplay. But I guess this ain't gonna happen. Also I had a dream of new football games wehre the cloth physics looked bouncy like PES 4 and 5 trailers.

But I guess this is never gonna happen, especially after seeing PES 22 trailer [graphics looking worse than some ps3 games]

FIFA seems to suffering from the same exact problem. Very weird, because it is super obvious in the footage.

The roadmap shows that the whole game concept is not ready on the day of reveal. They don't even know what the modes they want to sell us are called. It all seems so headless and amateurish. What have they been doing for the last 2 years?

Games from that generation can't be legally purchased (other than second-hand) any more, so it falls under a different rule.

Just go here and download the best PES 5 package (game and patch) you can get. It's absolutely amazing. A love-letter to football.

It's a shame that those great games aren't sold officially anymore. Fortunately most of them can be acquired by other means now.

But Fifa 16, and Pes 20 are screwed. These two games haven't been "anti-drm ed".

I checked origin and steam and looks like neither of these two games are sold anymore either. Fortunately I bought fifa 16 already and I got Pes 21. But I never managed to get a copy of Pes 20, so this means PES 20 is non-existent for me.

What? Konami? Are you serious? Why?

What an garbage day full with trash news.

Last goal with Pes:

🥺🤬😭😣

PES has been dying for a while now and this is probably Konami's last roll of the dice to keep it alive.

They will go after the easy money which is microtransactions. They will create themed content and charge us for player packs/balls and simply keep the machine ticking over.

The road map looks half finished and doesn't show a great deal to be excited about.

Offline modes will something akin to the squad battle mode in another game in my opinion,.something simple to keep the offline crowd playing.

Unpopular opinion but the game will likely do better for Konami (if they get the live content right). That being said, I think it'll be dead in a few years.

Personally I have little interest in the My Club style modes but I'll probably download day one and see what it's all about.

You know what? I Just wanted a game on par on what the current nextgen tech could offer and nothing Else.

If master league and some licensed leagues come with packs, so be it. It is not all that bad If you think about It. For example, I have zero interest on "be a pro mode" or one or two leagues. If that means that I can get Exactly what I want for a cheap fractioned price, this is good from a Walket standpoint. I Just want the PS5 version to look like a PS5 version. Thats It!

Thats exactly what you should not expect.

Gameplay wise what you are going to get will be tailored for phone users. Its the only way to make it work. If I, a pc user, must be able to play against a mobile player, then everything needs to be downgraded to accomodate mobile less performant hardware and controls. It literally can not work otherwise.
And thats the reason why they are pushing this 1 vs 1 bullshit line....
They push it simply because thats what can work on mobiles....an endless isolation game between attacker and defender, with 20 other guys standing on the pitch doing nothing until selected...

Graphically? maybe....they could make every hardware version look as good as they can....
but since they ditched a full fledged next gen game to give us a free to play cross platform title, then why should we hope they take the time, money and effort to give it a proper look on next gen when their main target is obviously android and ios. If they cared, they would give us a separate game in the first place.

Seriously guys. Im not being pessimistic here. It is what it is. Accept it.

Any way to play it on my phone via emulation? That could be the only mobile PES I would play
You could download a PSX emulator and play e.g. ISS PE2 (my second-favourite PES game). Or, you could stream it from your PC using streaming software - a bit like the PS4's "Share Play" feature - and connect a controller to your phone. I don't think there are PS2 emulators that run well enough to run PES5 on a phone directly, though.

so true (unfortunately)! Nothing more to add - shame on Konami and RIP 🪦.

PES 5 PSP version is the another option, but the game modes are slightly different and the PC patches are incompatible.
