eFootball (All Platforms)

I've been doing some thinking these past few days.

Evo Web is a great community, and really passionate about the game. Mods, patches, discussions over and over again about the game.
Does it matter though?
Each year there is a thread about the upcoming game and people are writing about what should KONAMI do differently, and then eventually there are many things that didn't go as the community wanted, not even close. And most likely, there are stuff that are being discussed here since some older iterations of the game, and they are still being ignored.
You would think, "but why don't they listen to the community, don't they want to make us happy, we are the ones giving them money after all". You could say the same thing goes for FIFA too.
Well, guess what. They don't want to make you happy, they don't consider you important, and they don't consider this community important. We are just a very tiny percentage of people that plays their game, and most importantly, we are not the ones that generate profit.
You see, long gone are the times when huge companies listened to their hardcore communities like some indie studio or something. Everything now is business.
Look at this thread, 3K replies. 3K replies, about stuff that should be fixed, added, removed etc. Imagine if every reply was from a different person (which isn't, but I'm trying to create a "good" scenario). What is 3000 people for KONAMI? It's absolutely nothing! If every one in this thread stopped buying PES forever, KONAMI wouldn't care because this hardcore community is very tiny in front of the millions of people that download the game for free on mobile (check out those stats), and only care about the latest Iconic Moment MESSI or whatever trend there is. Those are the people that KONAMI cares about, because they generate profit. Not us!
What do we do here, really? We buy the game once a year, and that's it! By reading most of the posts here, one can easily understand that this hardcore community cares too much about only the offline aspect of the game, Master League, and how to make it realistic using mods and patches. However, buying the game once a year and staying offline trying to have a "realistic" experience, is SO not profitable for KONAMI. For the scenario that each of the 3K replies was unique, imagine, 50 euros per year * 3000 people = 150000. You think KONAMI cares about 150000? KONAMI is a huge business, 150000 isnt enough for the electricity of their buildings each year.
Moan all you want here, you are shouting at a dead end. The present (not even the future) is the millions of people that play online and spend billions on microtransactions on the most absurd stuff like skins, faces, cards etc. and don't even care how the game plays, as long as they spend as much as they can in order for their brain to produce dopamine and make them think they feel happy. That's why there is a LITE version, that's why probably this LITE version is going to become the next original version + DLCs.
Am I angry/disappointed that my favourite game has come to this state/mess? Yes. Are we all? Yes. Do they care even a 0.00001%. Absolutely not.

All this, has reminded me a great video from Brian Firenzi released in 2012 about MTV.
Instead of MTV and music videos you can put KONAMI and PES with focus on gameplay and stuff that really matters, and instead of silly tv shows you can put microtransactions and fancy graphics/faces etc. His response is what we actually get.
Not. Their. F***ing. Demo.
Feckin' hell, man.. that is some really sad post. I almost did not notice it, until @Ameppe quoted it (thanks for feeding my football depression, pal  )

Yeah, you're right. In general - we dont matter at all. We are a tiny drop in a Sea of Gambling.

However - this site is the last stand of Pes dedicated websites. Most of mods come from here. Which makes me wonder - If we went silent, or all the talented people in here said "fuck it" and stopped working on fixing their game. Would they notice then?
We all know Pes content creators, even the ones that claim we are just a bunch of negative nellys, use mods, patches, stadiums, turf and whatnot from here.
We might actually matter a lot more than Konami heads are ready to admit...

....wannsumm, Konami?? wannsumm??

Some sad shit brother:(
I've come to the conclusion that it's over ,unless football games take the same route as racing (SIM) games.
And I hate both EA and Konami relentlessly ,it's been a horrible development since PES 17/18 same for FIFA.
But at the same time I've come to the conclusion that I'm fine with it ,don't need to be upset etc over it ,since I've gone back to older games ,and I really don't care what mess they release nowadays.
But ,yes it's fucking sad.

Ffs don't just post shit you see elsewhere without confirming it. I already exposed the source of this fake news. It was uploaded to Artstation a couple years ago by a digital artist.

Edit: https://evoweb.uk/threads/pes-2022-discussion-thread-the-pitch-is-ours-ps5-xsx-pc.83625/post-3720347

Here's the post I spoke of it. But in general, it's better to think twice rather than just assuming what some pratt on Twitter has said. Use reverse image searching, for starters. Or critical thinking: ask why some random bloke with 79 followers has access to these "leaks" while Konami are extremely tight lipped.

Announcement on 21st: will we actually see the new game? Or just some text we have to “stay tuned for upcoming updates”?
I can see it now......a rendered trailer with no actual gameplay footage & an announcement about a "full gameplay reveal" in another 4-5 weeks.
Another reveal arrives in a months time & we'll be given (or not) a date for a demo in September.
By this time we'll all have gone completely fucking crazy waiting to see if that botched beta test thing was actually representative of the final product in any way.

I'm not expecting much next week but hope to be pleasantly surprised. I also think there's a strong possibility we don't even get a demo this year. If the games in trouble development wise there's a high chance they'll hide it as long as possible.

Maybe they shut about it is not a bad thing
We’ll see on Tuesday

Don't ... please don't...don't do it to me ..... I find it very difficult to stop myself from sticking a Shrek face on him (He kinda looks like Shrek already ) .. but again some people will react that the Shrek meme is no longer funny ... :(
It will never be not funny!
Do your thing!

More than graphics, i expect lots of details about Master League. If there are none or very few i know this will be another bad year for me.

Gameplay, i really don't expect to judge gameplay just from screenshots of marketing videos, unless they release full macthes videos.

Let me remind you the last two presentations of the reworked master league of 2019

https://www.konami.com/wepes/2019/us/en-us/topic/new_feature_5

And mambo-jumbo mega remastered master league of 2020

If I knew to post memes, I would post this one.. final_5db12e745333470014879a3b_587067 (1).jpg

True, lots of pictures to fill the space but if we look at what is really added it's a wholo load of nothing.

Basically if you shrink them all, it is just

1) feel the season more realistic, due to ICC preseason tournament, which was broken implemented in 19

2) after listening to our fans feedback we implemented transfermarkt player real values, which works correct the first season and then becomes broken.

3) something about removing the ability to create our own manager avatar, while nobody asked for this! :)

And shit loads of cut scenes, that supposed to add immersion but become boring after few matches.
But what else do we expect really?
For them to work on AI individuality to make offline gameplay deep, varied and unpredictable?
Even from marketing point of view its not worth it. Its not a change they can present. Its invisible. Its much easier to add fluff to create illusion that they put a lot of effort into Master League.
They dont even present matches against AI anymore. Im sure it will look nice and we might get ball boys passing the ball and some more cut scenes, but anyone who thinks offline gameplay will be on the next (or should I say - previous) level - is just naive.
We're living in the age where we either accept it the way it is, or let it go.

...naaaah! Fuck it! All aboard the Hype Train!!!

If it confirms Free to Play, how would you react? I think that as long as they continue with the Master League and the Edition Mode, I'll be fine, if neither of them come I'd be worried, because they are important modes.

Just a thought. Would be very cool if there was a free, online/mobile hybrid designed purely for the loot box lot, then an offline game which they've focussed on purely as AAA football game.

Unlikely I know but we can hope, and it's more fun to have some optimism right?

Yeah id be ok with it.
Lite version is just online.
So we are basically paying just for Master League, which is shite anyway.

They'll never get rid of edit mode, as without it, without option files and mods - they wouldnt stand a chance.
As for Master League - it would probably still be there, abandoned, empty mode, like Become a Legend.
