EA SPORTS FC 26

These shirt physics were the worst thing ever invented.
In reality, players wear tight-fitting shirts. There's no such thing as running and having the jersey behave like a bag of potatoes.

Look at this image from the high-mounted broadcast camera. Kylian Mbappé the fat man?

Due to shirt physics, players become fat and bloated. It's horrible.
Yes, shirts pull, tear, and even move around the body. But you can't see this from 60 meters away.
The body models of PES characters are a thousand times more realistic.
Is it possible to adjust players shirt style in editing? If I recall, we could have loose or tight, or did I dream it? Any way from the deep dive gameplay, I did not notice any glaring issues that would distract for me personally.

That's because of low LOD during gameplay. Something they should have fixed decades ago. The low LOD physics are horrible in FC 24 and 25. But the real question is why are they still using low lods during gameplay camera when it was possible to play at maxed out lods via mods ever since FIFA 04?

Look at the shirt physics in PES 14, it doesn't look like this. And unless players are wearing skin tight clothes, the shirts always bounce in real life. EA just failed to properly implement it during gameplay camera because they suck. Even the tamed down cloth physics on PES 17 and 18 had the bouncing bottom part of the shirt, this is why it looked better than FIFA.

Shirt physics also were there on FIFA 14 and FIFA 06 RTWC and it looked fine there, especially on FIFA 06.

I don't really understand the idea of asking people what it's like. They wont be able to explain exactly as you'd like, and as Chris keeps saying here, the proof is in the playing. In just over a month's time, pay for a month of EA Play, try the 10 hour trial and feel it for yourself. Besides, what people play in the beta will most likely be a little different to the final release. How many people used to play the old PES demos, and then the final game wasn't "as good"?

Really? I actually think it's helpful to hear a bunch of opinions. I'm not going to base mine on them, but at this point it's good to hear as much information from like-minded people.

I may be helpful to some, but if it's comments like "it's slower", "it feels more sim", I've not even played the game and could make those points. In-depth comments about how the AI plays compared to FC25 may be helpful though, for example

Haha for sure - definitely looking for in-depth comments. Off-ball behaviour etc etc.

(Moderator edit - this is Competitive gameplay, as confirmed by the video poster, and NOT Authentic gameplay)

Also, since multiple defenders react to the ball carrier now, the 1v1 mechanics clearly got better — and this is on difficulties below World Class!

Not very optimistic news.
Some beta testers here in Brazil mentioned:
AUTHENTIC GAMEPLAY IS JUST PRE-DEFINED SLIDER SYSTEMS. THEY REPLACED THE SIMULATION'S STUPID MODE.

This means that post-launch, when tons of updates based on FUT addicts arrive, the entire gameplay STRUCTURE will be DESTROYED.

EA's trailers and interviews, promising to listen to the community (creating a gameplay subset with deep, independent mechanics), are LIES.
There's only one way for virtual football to be reproduced as a simulator: 2K Sports entering the market. Interesting video.
This is false information. Even with a little research you can see it is more than just a slider set.

The important part is in this picture below gameplay type

There is an extra toggle for authentic AI behaviour. So you can switch between different slider sets and have a toggle for AI behaviours which is the gameplay split.

I understand many people hate what EA has done with FIFA franchise in the last years. Me first.

But all these fake news or showing videos with the wrong gameplay mode didn't help to understand if they listen to us or not.

Check your source before posting please.

These last years teached me to be baseline pessimist with pretty much everything EA hypes as a single player improvement, however it's clear that yesterday there were clickbaits and fake 25 videos at every corner.

Personally, I'll start to truly discuss when either somebody trusted from here plays the beta and reports his opinions, or when certified authentic gameplay footage will finally came out (this time it should be quite easy to see if they kept their promises).

I've deleted a load of posts from (and replying to) a Brazilian user posting FC25 videos and claiming "Authentic Mode" isn't a separated, partitioned gameplay mode... because it is. There is plenty of information (official and unofficial) confirming this.

Opinions are fine, but spreading lies obviously isn't. (I've left a few responses visible because they're relevant.)

As others have said, please check your sources before claiming anything is a fact.

Video poster says it is ''competetivo'' gameplay

I can only access settings so far but authentic mode is a toggle and not just sliders. When you select custom you can adjust the “authentic” sliders to your liking.

So in theory you can set everything back to 50 but still have authentic on

Yeah those clips didn't look very promising & I sure hope that was competitive mode as it sure resembled what I'd expect from it.

The skatey dribbling, gulf in midfield and beserk defenders running in every other direction apart from towards the ball carrier is the standard FC experience in a nutshell.

We'll have to wait until someone who has access to thr beta cares enough about authentic mode to share some videos.

I got one authentic game in yesterday before EA put the kabosh on the WiFi disconnect trick… Passing and player movement feels a lot more responsive. A few new and improved animations. They removed my favorite ball though, the Derbysta Bundesliga 2. brilliant APS Classic😞
