EA SPORTS FC 25

Hi guys! Noob question (I know), but... What are the white/grey/black lines that we see below the radar?
I get that the yellow ones are the goals, but I've never ever understood what the other ones were (and they're there since... FIFA 21 probably):

THey seem to change between a match and another (maybe depending on the stadium?) but I honestly have no clue.
Any idea would be highly appreciated.
 
Is there a reason EA don’t update boot assignments fully, other than laziness? Many players aren’t wearing red adidas f50 boots and grey adidas predator boots which aren’t assigned in game, they are wearing older versions of these boots. Maybe EA will do it in the December TU but I doubt it.

Any mod or way to do this in the meantime besides manually in edit mode?
 
For the PC version (ea-app):
I have the commentary in Italian but it sucks and I would like to put it in English how can I change it without downloading everything again I have a slow connection.
 
I enjoy online Seasons with manual controls tbh. And it’s fairly easy to find a match.

I think the individuality of the players stand out more with manual passing, you get the feeling their different strengths gets more important. I’m not sure better passing players are better passers on manual though? Does their passing stat matter or is it totally manual regardless if it’s De Bruyne or a random Icelandic midfielder?

I always thought that's just a visual glitch...
 
I enjoy ea fc 25 (lite modded) and can live with its problems...but you realise how poorly we are all served when a patch update comes out for a 5 year old game and the sim racing world goes into a kind of (positive) meltdown.

AMS 2 devs intentionally have no marketing department, no PR department, no video department. They have worked relentlessly over 5 years to improve their game and regularly appear on their own forums and answer questions in detail, despite having a small minority of toxic idiots to contend with. The reward is that the game has broken its concurrent player record and was the 3rd most played on steam over weekend. 5 years after release.

Mainly because the developers made the game harder, and more sim-like, having corrected some very wide slip angles on the tyres (read fifa ice skating).

Now, i recognise sim racing is niche and has different priorities and doesnt need to sell as much as ea fc does. But it really has thrown in to stark relief just how badly we are served by EA and konami. These two companies have stolen the game in computer game form and exploited it for everything it's worth. Football's ubiquity permits this kind of exploitation, I suppose.

Of course I recognise my complicity in this.
 
Watched a video yesterday, someone complaining on the lack of FUT features and things to do. And the multiple amount of packs.

The whole while I'm happily sitting back thinking "years and years of folk paying to win, and now is when you complain"? The playerbase accepted it and showed to the devs what they be accept, and the devs took full advantage
 
The last 5 years of EA's FIFA games are like some red vs blue capture the flag mode, runing all the time from one side to the other, but instead of a "flag" or a "bomb" on the map, those 22 identical bots have a ball to juggle with...

There's a lot of defenders and midfielders not doing what they should for that goal , the 2 CDMs just standing about rooted to their space not actually acknowledging what's really happening

Did you also notice that when you attack and you are on the wing maybe 25 meter your mates full back? They dont support you in the attack? Its very annoying... They go back few meters stop and join when its too late. Like they dont follow the action

Gameplay
Made the following changes:

Added the Classic 10 and Wide Half Player Roles, as well as thirteen Focuses.

Slightly increased speed and consistency for the Stop And Turn (While Running) Skill Move when performed by 3 Star Skill Move players.

Slightly increased speed of Drag Backs.

Improved consistency for the Stop And Turn (While Running), Roulette, Heel To Heel, and Feint and Exit Skill Moves when performed by 2 Star Skill Move players.

Slightly increased speed and consistency of Jog Fake Shots when performed by 3 Star Skill Move players and above.

Slightly decreased the speed of Jog Body Feints.

Attacking players can now come back to an onside position quicker than before.

Slightly increased the window of time in which a Directed Run can be requested.

A Player Switch can now be requested during passes while in Player Lock.

Addressed the following issues:

Improved defensive logic for tracking runs during Kick Offs.

The attacking team’s center backs could have pushed too far up the pitch in some cases.

When requested, Secondary Contain was not always being performed by the player with the Next Player Switch Indicator.

Sometimes, center backs could have positioned themselves too far apart while their team had possession.

Addressed instances of Player Switching not functioning as intended.

Addressed instances of the Player Lock Input triggering an unintended Player Switch.

As a knock on effect that we are investigating, goalkeeper movement can trigger an unintended player switch.

Addressed an issue that was preventing high tackling Attribute players from being as effective as intended in specific situations.

In some instances, deep free kicks resulted in the ball not being passed to any specific receiver.

Improved referee logic when determining offside calls in situations involving the goalkeeper.

Improved referee logic when determining foul calls in some tackling situations.

In rare situations, attacking players could have crowded the center of the pitch unintentionally.

In some cases, defenders could have won the ball from behind the ball carrier easier than intended.

Addressed an issue in which a requested tackle could have moved the user controlled player towards the ball before starting the tackle animation.

Disabled the D Pad Tactics UI in Kick Off 3v3 matches as it had no impact on gameplay.

Ultimate Team
Made the following changes:

Reduced Rush match length from 7 minutes to 5 minutes.

The Squad Builder Rarity filter can now be used to search for all available rarities, similar to how search is done in the Transfer Market.

Players not actively engaging in a Rush match are now more likely to be kicked from the match.

Addressed the following issues:

Some Player Items were incorrectly showing as Loan Items when viewing them in the Season Pass.

After editing tactics, the positions of Player Items could have changed unintentionally.

Career Mode
Made the following changes:

Non academy players can now earn PlayStyes as they develop.

Goalkeeper Youth Prospects now have a chance to develop two PlayStyles+.

Updated Tactical Vision presets to account for new Player Roles and Focuses.

Added winter weather to Training Drills which can be enabled or disabled through the Weather Effects setting.

Updated list of available ICONs in Player Career.

Addressed the following issues:

In Live Starting Point, edited injuries and suspensions were not always applied to players correctly.

When creating a club in Manager Career, the default squad could have had the same facial expressions.

Trophies did not always display correctly.

In some cases, players could have earned an unlimited amount of PlayStyles through Training Drills.

Clubs
Made the following changes:

Winter weather is now present in Drop-In matches. This is a visual update only and does not impact gameplay.

Added the VR Room and Passing Drill facilities.

Signature celebrations could not be performed in League Matches.

Some PlayStyles would not display when viewing Avatar presets with more than six PlayStyles.

General, Audio, and Visual
Made the following changes:

Updated the menus with a new winter theme.

The Tactical and Possession views can now be toggled on the Team Tactic screen.

Updated some kits, stadium, celebrations, scenes, messages, button callouts, badges, tifos, gloves, balls, banners, flags, boots, ad boards, hair, tattoos, trophies, audio, UI elements, and commentary.

Addressed the following issues:

Addressed instances of stability issues occurring during co-op online matches.

Some lower rated teams were easier to play against than intended on Legendary Difficulty.

Addressed instances of placeholder text, incorrect UI elements, incorrect camera angles, and button conflicts.

When playing a tournament in Career Mode or Tournament Mode, the trophies for some leagues were not the intended trophy.

Addressed instances of various stability issues that could have occurred.

I'm not having ea dumbed downed midfields and defenders to replicate real football, they made them dumb to make more goals.for the kids and online crowd.
 
I recently went Paris, at the airport waiting area they have like 20 PS5 Pros and EAFC25 etc to play on whilst you wait!! :) I thought great, not tried a PS5 or EAFC25 before. I stopped playing after 5 mins, it was horrendous. I even switched it to sim mode and NO ONE is moving with the correct intensity on the pitch, except the 1 guy on the ball and the 1 guy nearest him actived to defend. Everyone is just standing around like it's a pre-season friendly and no one gives a f$$% what happens.

New player roles is cool. Theyve actually been in the game since beta, I am guessing the instructions for them never worked though so they delayed the release. Looking forward to trying it out.

Played the new update and decided to uninstall FC25. Defence awareness is complete out of place, still escort service when you wander fown the sidelines. Even shitty mobile games give you a harder thrill than this broken, exploitable mess.

I will monitor what future updates will bring, but EA seems to be completely unable to solve this, even though they seem to aware according to the patch notes.
 
tried FUT and the stupidity of the defenders are on another level. They just cruise beside their opponent and the through balls is the only way anyone attack. Won 5-2, 6-4 and lost 1-5. Had zero fun. I even tried playing 3 centre backs and having Rodri as a defensive midfielder and somehow they even got further (!) apart from each other at the back.

Time to try Seasons on manual which I enjoyed before the patch.

So, just bought the game for half-price this year, and is same shit as every year, but with less broken animations.

Horrible player reaction, and much more things, but hopefully, with a couple of changes, we can actually have a playable game this year. Needs to be tackled EBX by EBX, but I guess we can make something decent here.

However, I am still pissed by the fact that I can't have custom formations, so I can't put a MCD, a MC, and a MCO.

Quite terrible if you ask me. IF they only let the people change the position of players in the pitch, the game would probably be 100% better. It's seriously fucking annoying the fact that I can't make a custom formation and move players on the pitch.
 
These guys can’t even get players to change direction naturally.

What chance do they have of getting the more subtle bits of football right.
