Did you see who played? They had Mijatovic, Boa Morte and many international stars playing for charity. Milan had a B team out there. Friendlies dont count.

How'd you feel about winning nothing after spending millions? Sorry about

Mijatovic is old, they have one fulham striker. B Team? Maldini?, Sheva?, Serginho? Nice B team.

We won FA Asia Cup :D, so thats where your wrong. Haha, as for the money, who cares?

Okay okay, hahah Non-English glory supporter? I have a british passport and i used to live in chelsea if that answers your question.

The fact of the matter is Mourinho has not proved himself yet. This is a stupid move for Chelsea IMO. I mean look at the portuguese league.. Porto are the only team with decent players out of the lot and the Champions League this year was way way WAY below its standards. Even Monaco got to the final with all 3 of the favourites going out, Milan, Real Madrid and Arsenal. It was a terrible year for the champions league and will be forgotten in no time. Ranieiri over time, would have been a much safer bet than Mourinho.. in his 4 years (?) at the club he has improved the team every year. Chelsea at the moment is not an easy team to manage and Mourinho aint the right man for the job... he's a cunt too

Hey there, if Porto is the only team with decent players how come our national squad has 6 Porto players and 6 Benfica Players? You know, no one beat Porto in Europe but Benfica did here.

And there are many decent players in the portuguese league, they simply don't enjoy the same media attention any player has in other championships like la liga, serie A or the Premiership...

But i have to agree that Mourinho is a **** like you say... ;)

Why is a fuck. He cant win anything more with Porto. Now to try and win the EPL. Which is a leauge of a much higher quality.

You know what i find funny? People praising Chelsea/Ranieri for finishing 2nd in the EPL and getting to the SFs in the CL. In short saying it's very respectable, ie a successful season. Then, on the other hand, you get some people saying, (in a moronic, single brain-celled person kinda voice) "you spent all that money and didn't win anything, money doesn't buy you success, blah blah blah, i'm actually secretly wishing my team did that well"

Probably cause he's bored of your lack of football knowledge.

Ok, so back to the topic.

Surprise surprise, Mourinho is now officially in. He says he wants to place a lot of emphasis on defence, hence him wanting to bring Ferreira and R. Carvalho with him. But apparently, top of his list is Drogba. Imagine. Arsenal Chelsea. Henry vs Drogba, that would be fun. Mind you, Drogba reminds me more of an in-form Anelka imo.
Anyway, who knows who we land this summer. I don't want anyone too high profile. But that could be asking a lot. No Carlos please.

well thats because its easy to seperate the two, people liked Ranners they dont like Romans policies.

I saw a wicked interview with Ken Bates last nite, he was saying how dignified Ranners had been thru it all even though he'd had players dumped on him that he didnt want. He also made the point that chelsea are gonna find it hard to attract anyone decent because of the way they operate.

Mourinho says he only needs a squad of 21 players, whos gonna be out on their ear during the summer then?

a good few i should hope. The man has a point. I hope he sorts out the people who want to be there from the people that just want the cash. Winston, Feck Off!!

As far as i am aware, one of his conditions was that he had complete control over who he buys. He's got a plan in his head this Mourinho fella. If he wants just a 21 man squad plus keepers, he'll do it, i'm sure, even if he has to loan out, or better, sell, half of Chelsea  I think Roman will have a harder time with him than with Ranieri.

That's why for a short time you had 'Chelsea/Real Madrid' as your favourite club...

It was Barcelona. And thats only because i have family there. So its the Spanish club i like.

"We have top players and, sorry if I'm arrogant, we have a top manager too. I am European champion and I am special."

Hmm this guy is gonna make for interesting press conferences this season....

No doubting his ability, unfortunately he has zero class, zero dignity and zero sportsmanship. It's this mentality which helps him do so well, he genuinely does not give a shit about what anyone thinks about his methods or persona, and he transfers that to his team. I think he'll do well.

Oh no, here comes the critisism if we dont win a trophy this season. Well heres one fan that isnt arrogant and cocky, thats me.

I think Mourinho was the best person to succed Ranieri in the Chelsea job :D I still don't know why Ranieri was sacked!? :eh:

Chelsea's first game under Mourinho? I believe it could be against Celtic, on the US tour, though you Chelsea boys might be able to correct that if it's wrong. Might be a bit of needle in that match...

Mourinho was full of confidence, pride and arrogance.
(in a positive way)

He was trying to drive home a point to both his players and
his opponents.
You can already see the great duels he will have with Fergie and Wenger
next year.
This man means business.
But he will take a bit of time to build his team.
Abramovich should not expect wonders in Mourinho's first year.
Maybe the season after next.
