Today, Jose Mourinho visited the England Euro 2004 camp in Manchester and met John Terry, Frank Lampard, Wayne Bridge and Joe Cole.

Yeah, to tell them they are all being sold, to be replaced by some Portugese boys!!

Veron offloaded for a year then. Hopefully that becomes permanent.

PS. Why do fans of other clubs (predominently Arsenal) insist on coming in here and stirring? Do you guys not like your own threads? It really isn't welcome.

beaten 6 times including the charity shield, the league thing is an achievment but one of the most overated, over hyped things iv seen in football for a while (IMHO)

what, going through an ENTIRE premiership season unbeaten is overrated, take the glasses of mate and admit they where far and away the best team in this country last year

well I've seen a team lose less games over an ENTIRE season and clear up on the trophy front so yeah like I said its an achievment but overated.

If chelsea go unbeaten (im not being arrogant and saying they will), it wont be that big of an achievement. So what, if you get 38 draws in a season and get relegated you are immortal? haha.

Yeah but we won 26 and drew 12, where is all this 38 draws coming from.

Anyway, 38 draws last season equals 38 points and last season 38 points meant safety.

Chelsea Thread people! there's a fucking Gunners thread elsewhere!!!!!!!! :x

chill dude...

Sorry mate but just scroll up and down this page. It's full of Arsenal talk. Can't they keep that to their own thread? Likewise, Sulph, if you want to argue about it, go to the Arsenal thread.

We need some decent mods around here if you ask me. :l

FERREIRA `SIGNS FOR CHELSEA' - REPORT
Chelsea have signed Porto defender Paulo Ferreira, according to radio reports in Portugal.

TSF radio are reporting that Porto chairman Jorge Pinto da Costa has said the Portugal right-back will join his former manager Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

Ferreira, 25, is currently with the Portugal squad preparing for Euro 2004.

Mourinho left Porto after guiding the club to Champions League glory last week. He was confirmed as the new manager of Chelsea on Wednesday.

Melchiot aint that great anyway, I heard something about him and Ajax earlier this season.

Exactly, and i think that glen johnson when he is ready could push ferriera out of the team, he is very young, we seem to forget that. Ranieri took a gamble buying sych a young unproven player, but as jim the great said, johnson will have a great role model and target in ferreira

Pires7, your signature is awesome, very clever. My moneys on david james!

Sorry bout off topic banter! but i am a chelsea fan

It's been known all season long that Melchiot would be leaving on a free transfer.
As for Ferreira's fee. You don't think Mourinho was doing Porto a favour by any chance. ;) It's all been organised way in advance. Next up, Costinha.

I really dont want mourinho comin in and jus fillin it with porto players, ferreira im happy with and maybe deco but costinha? we have makelele and hes is better than costinha. This season will be much better for makelele than last season.

Gudjohnsen, mutu n crespo, think mutu and crespo will have a much better season this yr. I would like to see one other striker come in as well, i dont think jimmy will b around for much longer.

Crespo has been linked with AC Milan though, and won't Abramovich want Mutu out?

Lets hope it doesnt happen . :D

Shame though; this season for Crespo.
I used to rate Crespo as one of the best strikers(finishers), if not as THE best striker(in finishing).
