how is Zola playing, I mean is he changing the shape of the team, playing up to standards?

I can't see him returning to Chelsea, as Mourinho will prefer deco, so too will Abromovich.

Zola is playing very well for a serie B player, he is Cagliari's main man from what i've heard/read. Still doing his neat runs etc.

Although he isn't the Zola from some years back, ofcourse. He won't retrurn to Chelsea ever... as a player that is.
I wonder how he'll do in Serie A next season, i bet something like Ravanelli did this season.

It comes to something when 2nd in the Premiership and a Champs league Semi Final isnt good enough

Imagine the pressure on Mourinho.
Abramovich may expect the Premiership, CL and exciting football to boot next season.

Mourinho's Porto are not exactly known for exciting football, surely that had to do with their squad.
But with the current Chelsea squad and money to burn,
will Mourinho change his well-know tactics to more attack. Interesting times ahead at Stamford Bridge !!

Thanks Claudio....

According from the news @yahoo, Mourinho might fire around 11 players after he come to the Bridge. Crespo, Mutu, Veron, Cudicini(sp?)... etc.

Ranieri was a great coach. He manged to get 2nd place with a completely new team in one year.

Mourinho is unproven, Porto didnt necessarily have the toughest CL route.

Er..No. Benitez is the second best manager in Europe, by FACT. And Mourinho is the best. Going unbeaten aint that great. So if you draw every game in a season, your wonderful? Even though you will only land up with 38 points and may even be relegated?. Bravo.

What are the chances of going unbeaten? Oh wait, they are the same. Its not that great through my eyes.

how exactly do you rate a manager? Or for that matter truly know how far his influence stretches?

I'm one of those people that believes that the TEAM wins the games, that includes all the back room staff, ALL of the coaches/physios etc... and probably most importantly the players themselves.

Mourinho won the Champions League, he is the best club manager in Europe, FACE IT.

Porto caught one of this years UEFA finalist in group stage, as well as Real Madrid.

Porto caught the english champion, named as a favourite and sunk it.

Porto caught the french champion and sunk it.

Porto caught the team that trounced AC Milan and sunk it...

I guess if Porto caught Milan, Juve, Real, Manchester, Arsenal... even then ppl would say they had an easy path :).

Face it: Porto did great and Mourinho did an AWSOME job this past 2 seasons... just remembering the total spanking he applied last year in UEFA against a Lazio side who was still fighting in Serie A for top spots... what a game.. if it wasn't for peruzzi it could have been the largest beat up an italian team ever caught in europe.

I agree with you. The rest are jealous fags :D.

Whats your point? Like in your Poll ... spain is the best league....Vincente Del Bosque won La Liga and the Champions League how many times?.... Instead CHelsea go for the guy who wins the CL and Uefa cup once against mediocre teams with some luck on his hands as well as coach in Portugal?
Del Bosque Proved he was a good manager by winning a shitload in the toughest league as your vote showed.

Mourinho played another team that was inexperienced with a young manager.

I never said spain were the best league, Del Bosque was a great manager, but is he managing now? No. So right now, Mourinho is the best manager in Europe. You just have to admit that.

and btw, howd u handle losing to kitchee
