Terry

It should be 2-2 Gronkjaer scored. Arsenal always get their luck, Im not taking anything from them, it was an good performance, but chelsea did equally as well. Oh well boys, out of the cup, two tournaments left, Chmps Lge, and the Prem.

Yeah but Gronkjaer's disallowed goal was before Mutu scored so if it had counted Mutu wouldn't have scored his goal because it changed the course of history, and we should have had a penalty before that anyway, when Gilberto was put through and Terry took him out and made no contact with the ball. Get your facts right boy!

Yes, but I used that saying to remark once again how slow Gilberto dribbled with the ball ;)

Bergkamp was the same.. I haven't seen him play for a while and was surprised at how many times he lost the ball by trying to dribble.

Man you lot must be sick to death.Another year another Cup exit by us ;)

Gronkjeers goal was onside though having seen it on T.V so I guess Chelsea were unlucky in that sence but I thought our second half performance merited us going through

Jose, jose, jose, jose, joooooose, joooooose :D ...so that's a 4th straight KO in the FA Cup by our boys across town, you guys must be sick of playing us in the Cup. Henry-less, still the same old Arsenal full of class, quick passing and great movement, doubters are just silly to think without Henry Arsenal would just lack the same class. By the way are chelsea out of the tunnel for the second half yet? I don't think they ever left. Terry was the only player who stood out for Chelski, Lampard for one of the most improved players in the premiership didn't really get stuck in and was completed overshadowed by Vieira and Edu. Still got another game this saturday, this time with Henry back in the side. But I only see one outcome.. :D

What steam? My grandmother runs faster than Gilbero did.

Of course that wasn't a foul.

It's actually funny how slow Gilberto is, his top speed is a very consistent snail pace. He gets into great positions with some great runs, but when you just need that extra bit of pace he just hasn't got it. But then not everybody is Thierry Henry.

Yeah, but that goal came from a corner that never should have been. Lehmann had the ball in his hands when Hasselbaink charged into him so he dropped it out for a corner. That should have been a free kick so that Gronkjær goal never should have happened.

That was one game mate, i'm sure you wouldn't be so quick to say that if you were without out him for 2 months or more, hell, even 4 weeks i should imagine.

We also beat you without him last year in the Cup, we also beat Manutd without him in the Cup last year, and in the league the year before that. All those games were away from home. We recently hammered Boro at home without him. How many games does take to prove we are no one man team?

Of course it was a corner. Even Peter Brackley thought so. The ball was in the air, he had every right to go for it. The actual score should have been 2-2.

Peter Brackley knows diddly squit about football and as for the offside goal, SHIT HAPPENS! These things even themselves out over the course of the season.

Stop whinging and get over it, these things even themselves out, plus the best team on the day won. We played for 90 mins, you didn't even come out for the second half, and we took full advantage.

SulX, you can't say the score should have been 2-2. However, i do think Gronkjaer's goal would have given us a better time base for the first half. ie had we scored a second after that, which was realistic as we played better in the first half, without having to score another first goal, i believe we wouldn't have lost the match.
As for levelling out, i wouldn't have minded as much if it were a league tie, but as it was a cup tie, the buck stopped there. As we're not likely to get any silverware this season, all we can hope for is bad luck/decisions against Arsenal during the remainder of the season/CL, to "level" it up.

I'm neither a Chelsea fan neither an Arsenal fan....but after reading the postings of Arsenal fans on this forum...it's very hard to sympathise with that team (although it has plety of attractive world claas players)...if there is one team over here whose fans are constantly moaning it certainly is Arsenal...
I visited this Chelsea thread cause i liked the way Chelsea fans try to be objective...it's certainly not the fact for tons of Arsenal fans...

It's just the way some of us are. I do feel that I can be quite neutral on MOST arguements but some people have their rose tinted glasses on all the time

I'm sure Wenger would have other ways of getting the best out of Arsenal without Henry. Reyes is slowly building up to be a quality player and can make up some of the void left. We've also got bergkamp, aliadiere, wiltord, bentley, kanu if all fit to bolster our attacking line. Wenger is to intelligent to know Arsenal shouldn't be to reliant on Henry, by resting him in most FA Cup games in the past and having won all of them, just as Jogi above has pointed out. A long standing Fa Cup run nearly without Henry is a justified claim already Arsenal arn't a one man team like all doubters seem to say. Your problem is that you just can't to seem to find a game Arsenal have lost due to Henry not being in the side, what does that say??

Nah you can't say it should've been 2-2, even though his goal was perfectly onside. It would've just been 1-0 earlier, and one thing changes everything else. You never know, if Gronkjaer's goal was allowed, Chelsea may have one 3-0, Arsenal may have won 3-1 instead of 2-1 and Reyes scored once with Bergkamp scoring twice.

That's right, the only way you can say an incident would of changed the game is if it was the last thing to happen before full time.

Well lads, it's the big one this weekend. Arsenal at home. Effectively, if we lose, the title has got to be out of the question, not that i thought we would win it this season, but we're hanging on in there. A CL spot is what i want.
What's the bet we lose.......again. I hope Duff is back, he's training hard to reach match fitness as we speak. Mind you, even if he is, he won't be sharp. :(
What we need is one of the new lads, like Crespo to beat the curse. It's about time he reached his full potential.

Should be a pretty strong squad this weekend...

Im guessing...

----------------Cudicni----------------
----------Gallas------Terry-----------
Johnson------------------------Bridge
----------Lampard--Makelele--------
Gronkjaer-----------------------Duff
----------Crespo---------------------
---------------------Mutu

Subs
Melchiot
Sullivan
Parker
Hasselbaink
Gudjohnsen

I think we are strong enough to nick it 2-1. Due to the home advantage.

I hope Chelsea wins the big one...
From the Profs last posting i understand that Crespo is underachieving or is "only" a question of scoring???

It will be a tough game for the Arsenal, I would be happy if we came away with a point to be honest. A win would be fantastic and an extra step closer to the winning line.

Well he's scored some goals, but he looks nothing like the Crespo i knew from Parma/Lazio/Inter. ie very dangerous. To be fair he's not getting a regular start, and so it's hard to find form when you're being tinkered with all the time. I'm waiting for a game (and i know it will come) where he totally destroys the opposition, i'm talking at least a hat-trick here. Who knows when that'll be though. :l
