I hope Chelsea wins the big one...
From the Profs last posting i understand that Crespo is underachieving or is "only" a question of scoring???

Well he's scored some goals, but he looks nothing like the Crespo i knew from Parma/Lazio/Inter. ie very dangerous. To be fair he's not getting a regular start, and so it's hard to find form when you're being tinkered with all the time. I'm waiting for a game (and i know it will come) where he totally destroys the opposition, i'm talking at least a hat-trick here. Who knows when that'll be though. :l

As long as it isn'tt Saturday I don't care :D

Arsenal Should go something like this

---------------Lehmann-----------------
-----------Toure---Campbell-----------
Lauren----------------------------Clichy
---------- Vieira---Edu----------------
Ljungberg-------------------------Pires
------------Henry-Reyes---------------

...help?

Just wonder, why Arsenal always have luck?!?! And I think Chelsea should buy some World-Class defender & one more goal-keeper in the summer. I think Sully is really suck!!

They got Petr Cech, coming int he summer
Oficially one of the top two young goalkeepers in Europe. Along with Timo Hilderbrand.

And totally agree, with you, Arsenal seem to always have luck on their side.

Heard the stories about Abramovich fuming that he didn't get Reyes instead of Arsenal? (Considering this is true) What puzzles me, however, is that if we offered 8 million rising depending on appearances etc. and Roman was willing to offer 20 million from the offset, why would Sevilla choose to sell us little Jose and not you? I don't really think there's any love loss between the clubs.

Anyway, Cole and Gilberto likely to be out of the game tomorrow.

Ranieri says it's a must win or all remaining title hopes are lost. Don't think that's entirely true. If we do win, a few slip-ups on our part and wins by you could see you vying for it again. I think it's more a case of pumping up players for the *most important* game in the League for Chelsea so far.

Seville are in debt right now, so, logically, 20 million up front is a better deal.

Arsenal are only paying up to 17 million for Reyes anyway.

Legend that is Bergkamp perhaps? it's 50/50 between Reyes and DB10 to partner Henry, but I would go with Bergkamp for 54 minutes then bring on Reyes on 55 minutes ;) as the game gets stretched.

A week and 5 months.

i think if chelsea lose to arsenal they can kiss the title hopes goodbye. Arsenal are very unlikely to slip up considering that they havent lost this season and have a good chance of not losing all season. Chelsea have to beat arsenal if the have any chance at all as arsenal will keep there undefeated run going unless they get beaten by chelsea or man u, because i dont thin many other teams have much of a chance of beating them. Most teams are pleased with a draw against arsenal.

Claudio Ranieri looks ready to risk plunging Damien Duff and Hernan Crespo back into action tomorrow after warning Chelsea can forget the Premiership title if they lose at home to Arsenal.

Ranieri's latest setback against the Gunners - and he has yet to beat them in over three years at the Stamford Bridge helm - came at Highbury in the FA Cup last Sunday when he saw the chance of another trophy disappear.

Chelsea will be nine points adrift of Arsene Wenger's league leaders if they go down again in tomorrow's midday shoot-out and Ranieri admits: 'That is too much for us.

'The gap will look quite small if we win - and we are still in it with a draw. But I cannot expect Arsenal to give us nine points in the rest of the season.'

Ranieri admitted that Ł17million Duff's damaged Achilles tendon was 'not good enough' to earn him a return at Highbury after four games out, following a brief comeback from a dislocated shoulder.

And although Ł16.8million Argentinian striker Crespo made a goalscoring return as a late substitute in the win at Portsmouth five days before the cup-tie, Ranieri left him on the bench at Highbury.

That soccernet article seems to be relying on old information. The lateast I've seen from reputable sources suggest all three (Crespo, Duff and Cudicini) will be out for the game.

Crespo has a fever, Duff hasn't recovered from the Achilles problem and Cudicini is still not healed from the groin injury he sustained during the Cup game.

I think damien duff is easily one of chelsea's best players and without him the dont seem to be the same team. Duff seems to give them creativity and he brings players forward with his runs. In the FA cup tie without him there was little action up front for chelsea.

Of course. And since he is out. Gronkjaer has to play on the left and Parker has to play on the right. Normally, Parker wouldnt get a game, because Gronkjaer would be on the right and Duff would be ont he left.

I think whenever we play Arsenal, it should be "first goal wins"

Well, it's certainly over for us, and probably even for Man Utd. Although, Arsenal (now 7 points clear) had an 8 point lead last year and still lost it to Man Utd.

Lets not hope so. I have a feeling we'll hold on this year cause the players wont want to feel like they did last year.

What did you think of the sending off? Eiður is the darling of the Icelandic media and they're all fuming because he got sent off, they think it's impossible that the golden boy dived. I haven't seen a more blatant dive all season, Toure backed away from him the moment he threw himself to the ground so Eiður just looked really stupid.

Definitely a dive. Which is very rare from Eidur, he is normally very sportsman like. Maybe it was all the tension and heat from a big game.

SO thats twice in a week we beat your lot without Henry! Now go and get that second spot to make it an all london 1 and 2

Eidur shouldn't have been sent off, the second booking was a disgrace. And it seems that if you are Robert Pires you don't get booked for diving.

"SO thats twice in a week we beat your lot without Henry! Now go and get that second spot to make it an all london 1 and 2"

Erm, he played. If you were referring to the fact that he did nothing, well he was actually playing against good defenders. There's just not many good defenders in the Premiership.

Our performance was terrible, all possession but no cutting edge. We're really missing Duff and Veron.

Yeah that Henry ain't no good against good defenders, baah, let's sell the geezer to your lot and he won't ever score a goal against campbell. Henry had a shocker simple as that, he never performed on the day looked like he didn't want to be involved. But players ain't robots they can't always perform their best all the time. That dive by Ediur was so blatant he makes ronaldo look good! But getting back to business, how can you spend over 120 million and play so badly? Money simply cannot buy team spirit which Arsenal have a huge abundance of. Questions need answering but I hope Raneri keeps his job, he's a great character in the game
