I reckon we'll land Parker this time. We certainly need midfielders at the moment.
Terry, do you think someone will be kind enough to relieve us of Winston Bogarde by Feb? I heard that Ancona are also interested now.....not a single Prem match in 3 years. I'm sure he'll look back at his career with delight.

He certainly will at his current account though ;)

Actually he's gets less than i thought. £40,000 a week. Still a phenomenonally stupid amount for doing damn all.

That's why he never left wasn't it. He thought more about money than football cause he said why move, no one else will pay me that much.

You would think he would want to play football though. :shaking: Very odd.... :l Hope he goes.

You would of thought so, i'd take a cut in wages to play first team footy. Maybe he was settled in the reserves

Well, he'd already won virtually everyting in football and was past his best when he signed - he was just taking advantage of a mistake by someone else (Hutchinson, in fact).

Besides, it's not like he refused to play or anything, he just wasn't good enough to get picked. Anyone else would do the same thing if they were in his position.

No sour grapes here.

Just surfing on the official site and wonder, who will be the new signing of chelsea??

Right chaps - it's that time of year where I disappear for a few months! I expect I'll be back sometime in the summer so it will be interesting to see what befalls us in between.

I hope to see all of you when I come back - and that we are by then, the holders of a shiny pot or two.

C'mon you Blues! ;)

Hey Str......FUCK OFF!

Don't stir in other clubs threads you little sh¡t

Ironically, I was shown it by a Chelsea fan and he had a laugh. Seems this thread is a little hot-headed. I already pointed out it was most probably a fake. Kudos on the profanity. Really did make you sound more mature.

Great strike by Johnsen today. Shades of Pele there when he flicked it up. Excellent save by Friedel to deny Lampard a hat-trick, too.

Fair enough mate, i'm just fed up with non-Chelsea fans coming in here and stirring. You are all welcome of course, i just wish some people would refrain from pasting rubbish, which is often more suited to their own supporters thread.

BIG THREE WARNED BY UEFA

The Premiership's big three teams have been warned they must release players for Fifa's centenary match in May, just two days before the FA Cup final.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all battling to reach the Millennium Stadium showpiece, although one of the London pair will be knocked out in the fifth round.

Any of the clubs' plans for the May 22 final, though, could be wrecked by call-ups for a Fifa celebration match between Brazil and France in Paris on May 20.

Fifa deputy general secretary Jerome Champagne has already made the case clear by affirming any players chosen for the game must be present in the French capital.

Champagne's sentiments have been echoed by Uefa chief executive Lars Christer Olsson, who insists The Football Association have been aware of the centenary fixture for a long time, ever since the introduction of a harmonised international calendar in 2000.

"It has been agreed to by everyone and so it should be stuck to by them," said Olsson.

"Of course, the English clubs should release their players if they are selected.

Manchester United's Mikael Silvestre and Kleberson, Arsenal's Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires and Gilberto Silva, along with Chelsea ace Claude Makelele could all be affected by the game.

hmm, seems we get off lightly on this one, only kleber and mikael, you chelski get off easy too... its those gooners... them poor buggers Henry, Vieira Pires ... ouch ;)

Greetings my fellow Chelsea fans.

Thought I'd bring this thread back into action as it's seems to have gone a little quiet recently.

Charlton at the home tomorrow.
I'll be making my annual pilgrimage down to the Bridge to see this one. Hopefully we should pick up all three points, I'm sure Parker will be playing seeing as Duff's still out.

Regards...

Jim

Well, its another well deserved win..Comments?

Outplayed them but lacked the final killing goal although Kiely's acrobatics and Mutu's complacency stopped you winning it by 2 goals.

Inter link with Lampard

Inter have been linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. Coach Alberto Zaccheroni sees the England international as the answer to his lightweight midfield. Zac is currently trying to persuade the board to make a mega offer for him.

Palease! Yeah right. Lightweight midfield? Inter have bought more midfielders than Chelsea since the summer. They don't even use half of them. Kily, Fadiga, Karagounis, Lamouchi......
Anyway, slap £20 million on his head and tell them to get lost.
I have no doubt it's complete BS anyway.

NEXT! ;)

I dont know about that rumor, but I have been so impressed with one Frank Lampard, he is amazing, his touch, his shot, his playmaking ability, he is such a great player, I dont know how Sven can keep him out of the starting lineup for 2004, he should proably play for butt, i would imagine... Even though he was quite for most of the charlton game, at the end he was setting up mutu....

Slightly off- topic, but anyway...
I don't understand Inter. They just keep buying players. I don't think they fully understand that by buying players they are spreading turmoil in their own ranks...
If i were Lampard i would know what to do: stay in England with Chelsea.

This is true, at least we use all our midfielders. They've all had, and are still having a fair crack, mostly due to injury, but that's often how it is. Inter just seem to buy and discard their midfielders. No wonder Almeyda got disillusioned about football. Kily Gonzalez, Fadiga, Karagounis, Lamouchi, all good midfield players in their own respect, yet where are they?

Who said the Premiership is a 2-horse race? Chelsea are right back in the title-challenge now. Good win for you at Portsmouth tonight, and we are throwing points away. I`m not happy that we are losing, but the Premiership is becoming very interesting . . . .

What difference does it make now than what it did at the weekend. Chelsea aren't suddenly back in the race cause they've gained on Utd. They're still 6 point behind us.

We should be alot more confident, now that Stuttgart have lost to the team bottom of the league. Coincidentally, the guy who scored for that bottom team captained stuttgart, when the lost to Chelsea in the Cup Winners Cup.

The pundits (and a few guys in Evo-Web) had written Chelsea off and called the Premiership a 2-horse race some time ago. I was just pointing out that they were wrong. I`d put a tenner on Chelsea winning the championship right now . . . .
