I trust Wenger won't rest Henry and play his youth team for this tie.

He doesn't rest players in the FA cup, Henry is the only exception, it's been that way since he took over, but I imagine Terry Henry will be playing.

ARSENAL AND CHELSEAA> AT HIGBURY..>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH CRAZY

I know, really crazy. Innit mad the things that happen in this world! It looks like both teams are both playing on neutral turf, a place called HIGBURY. ;)

So we meet again, the 4th year on the trot!! Our little run against you has to come to end at some point, hopefully not this year though!!

We could be playing you 3 times in 10 days if there is a replay, as we play again in the league the saturday after!!

Cole misses the next two games (B'burn and Charlton) while JT just misses Charlton. I expect Jimmy will miss a few too.

We are seriously struggling to put a team out at this point! Hopefully Nicolas will keep up his good form.

Poor Chelsea! Struggling to find a first team!

4 capable keepers, three great centrebacks, eight more-than-decent defenders, 8 very capable midfielders and then there's the matter of four great strikers.

You have a few injuries, but so do we and i'd rather have your squad depth than ours. You'll maybe have to field one or two up-and-coming players in a team of otherwise superstars. If your 1st keeper gets injured, you get Macho, Sullivan or Ambrosio. Who do Tottenham have?

If your best two centre-backs are out, who do you have in back-up? Terry, Bogarde, Huth, maybe even Makelele. Not being a madhead here, but think of what your team consists of, who you have and really you should be doing a lot better.

The cup draw was made today and my pants were getting moderately soiled thinking we would get Chelsea. Even with five players out, you're still full of great players.

Was that supposed to be a constructive comment? You don't know the half of it mate.

Macho has been and will be injured all season, so it's between Ambrosio and Sullivan.
Terry is one of our first choice cenrebacks!
Bogarde hasn't played a first team game in years and has next to zero experience in the Premiership.
Maka is knackered already and when fit is required in midfield.
Stanic has just come back into training
Di Cesare has just started training after being in hospital during Xmas.
Geremi and Babayaro are in Africa.
Then there are all our first team injuries. (Veron, Crespo, Petit, etc......)

I`d rather have Chelsea`s problems that Spurs. At least Chelsea are going "upwards" in football, generally. Just a jealous Spurs fan, ignore. ;)

I didn't mean to cause a stir, and maybe my jealousy came thru a LITTLE.

But it gets to me when there are clubs who can draw many players to them, have a big squad and then when it is deplenished they don't want to face the prospect of playing their subs.

I have two mates who are madly Arsenal fans and the slightest to one of their star players makes them go all trembly. Arsenal have a good youth system and their young players are mostly excellent. Chelsea are supposedly right up there near the top, challenging for honours, and i think they should be able to rely on the team they put out.

I'm just letting off a little bit of disbelief, when i've gone thru many seasons of Tottenham backbone squads going out to face the likes of Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool week in week out.

If i'm correct (maybe not), this is your bunch of first team / fringe players available for your next couple of games. Then Joe Cole and maybe Jimmy Floyd back after those.

GK Ambrosio/Sullivan

DF Desailly Gallas Johnson Melchiot Bridge Huth

MD Duff Gronkjaer Stanic Nicolas

FW Mutu Gudjohnsen

Against Blackburn you should do very well. Charlton's harder but with the quality in the squad i'd still back Chelsea no problem.

I dont know what happend to Carlo. Why is everyone saying he wont be there? What Happened?!

Anyway, this is what i want.
1) At highbury, 1-1 or 0-0
2) At the bridge, 1-0 to chelsea.
3) Replay of the 5th round at the bridge, 1-0 chelsea.

Proximus, I think what we're getting at is that having spent 100 million on players in the summer, we're still relying on bit part squad players like Nicolas and Sullivan.

Recently, we've been putting out the same team as last year - the only differences being Makelele (who you can tell is just plain tired - and only because Petit was injured!) and sometimes Mutu, Cole or Bridge. Hardly what you'd have predicted in the summer, is it?

Duff, Veron, Stanic, Crespo and Petit have all missed our slump over Xmas while Mutu has been in the middle of a scoring drought. Geremi and Baba are at the cup of nations, and Desailly and Hasselbaink are just too old to cut it anymore. And then there's Gronk who has been plain awful!

Next up we miss Cole and Terry through suspension, plus whatever injuries we pick up and it all makes for a very frustrating season.

When your skint, it's not so bad because you have no choice but to muddle through, but when you're billionaires who've spent a lot of money in the summer, it's plain annoying! Couple that with a manager who could've played his best team at times but decided to muck about instead and you have one less than ecstatic season ticket holder. :l

This guy is a bigger Schizo than King Keane!! There is no offer Mr Rosicky, stop wasting everyone's time!

Rosicky puts Chelsea move on hold
January 27, 2004

PRAGUE (AFP) - Czech international midfielder Tomas Rosicky has cut short negotiations over a possible move to English Premiership big-spenders to see out the season with German side Borussia Dortmund.
However, his agent, Pavel Paska, said a move to London in the summer was still on the cards. Chelsea were reported to have bid 30 million euros for the 23-year-old.

"We ran out of time," said Paska to explain why Rossicky would not move before the transfer window closes on Sunday. "Dortmund play a big match on Friday against Schalke. We can't tell them on Thursday Rossicky will be going." But he added: "Talks are continuing. Tomas has been made an offer and I went to London too. And it wasn't for a chat with the Queen."

Rossicky joined Dortmund at the end of 2000 from Sparta Prague for 14.8 million euros. His contract runs until 2008. Very noble of him!

I too don't understand why there has been so much fuss from the player. Rosicky is a fantastic player in my book, he has a bit of everything, but seems to have a permanent home in dreamland. From what i've read over the past fortnight he's been far closer to agreeing to move to Barcelona than anywhere else, including Chelsea.

Maybe he's a boyhood fan of Barca so it represents fulfilling a lifelong dream or maybe he doesnt fancy the climate in England (including economic and football).

Remember that without the influx of Romans millions Chelsea would not have or be linked with these players, teams like Barca are always gonna be huge regardless of their current standing.

He is trying to engineer a move away from Dortmund - Chelsea aren't interested in him whether it's €3 or €30,000,000.

I wouldn't be surprised if Barcelona aren't interested either!

Im sure Barca arent, he's not Dutch.

It's just the easiest way for a player to stir up rumours. Say you want to go to Chelsea, it'shalf believeable cause you have the money and hey presto everyone knows you want to go.

Blah Blah Blah...

Parker signing on Thursday

Blah Blah Blah

That's what I've been told

Blah Blah Blah

Believe it when I see it

Blah Blah Blah

Just spent a solid hour on the CFC website trying to get my goon tickets. After countless attempts, my credit card details now sprayed all over the www, my mouse bashed to fcuk and still no idea when the game is (I can't go if it's saturday!) I finally did it! :D

Well, unless they've over booked - in which case this was all for nothing! :(

But not Terry for a while

Good old Sun reporting! He played on after the knock, it swelled up overnight so he got sent back for scans.

No one at the club seems overly concerned about it though - he'll be rested on Sunday.

I reckon we'll land Parker this time. We certainly need midfielders at the moment.
Terry, do you think someone will be kind enough to relieve us of Winston Bogarde by Feb? I heard that Ancona are also interested now.....not a single Prem match in 3 years. I'm sure he'll look back at his career with delight.

Actually he's gets less than i thought. £40,000 a week. Still a phenomenonally stupid amount for doing damn all.
