This is not fair. Watford's goal did not go in!
This is really really unfair.
I hate these gay referees.
What kind of corny Referees do they hire?!?!??!!?

That's football. My german mates didn't even get the World Cup trophy 1966 against England because of that

Also keep in mind that Watford didn't get the penalty they deserved in the 2nd half.

The magic of the FA cup

Perhaps SulphuricX, you would be better blaming an utterly awful defensive performance. Evertime Desailly plays, we conceed 2 to 4 goals. When he doesn't, we conceed none. Work it out, Ranners!

The FA loss could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Chelsea...let them concentrate on the really important things: Premiership and Champions League...
What Chelsea need urgently now is one good/big win...

We're still in the competition, Gerd. What we need is John Terry playing, not some dis-interested Frenchman who clearly doesn't fancy it anymore.

Now i remember Terry, there's a replay isn't it??? Sorry, this isn't my best day...first day at work...

Aren't you just a litle bit too harsh on Desailly???

Well, he's got a point, Marcel is getting past it. He's made a few defensive blunders this season. Of course, he shows his defensive prowess every now and then, but i do think we should be getting Terry and Gallas playing together regularly, and look to bring in a new CB this January, as we are lacking in that position, in terms of experience and numbers. Huth springs to mind, but as i said, experience is key.

No. He has been awful everytime he has played in the back 4 - and this on the back of an interview where he said he couldn't be bothered to go into training anymore.

He is meant to be the club captain, but shows no leadership. He is invisible. If he could collect his money now, I'm sure he would just retire. Terry, Huth and Gallas are hungry young men, and it's not fair that they should have to sit on the bench while Desi expects to waltz back into the team, whether he is playing well or not.

well T as a chelsea supporter you've seen a few of these over the years, maybe not all french players but still....

what is it about Chelsea that they attract these types??

I agree that Desailly needs to go to somewhere more befitting - like the 'Summerfruit Orchard' Old Folks Home XI.........he is SHOCKING of late - 3 charlton goals were his mistakes and he is having a bad effect on the team

JT and Billy Gallas are the nutz together

I don't think we have had quite as many as you or the tabloids would like to think, Bogarde is the only other player I would mark as lazy - the rest weren't much cop in the first place or got too old.

Desailly will play great when he wants too, but he just wants the glamour games nowadays.

This seems a more reasonable transfer story than most!

CHELSEA CHASE CECH

Chelsea have made an offer to French side Rennes for highly-rated goalkeeper Petr Cech, according to the player's agent.

The Czech Republic international is regarded as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe.

The likes of Arsenal and Barcelona have been linked with the 21-year-old in the past, but it appears Chelsea have jumped to the head of the queue for Cech.

Rennes are resigned to losing their most prized asset and are ready to cash-in on him during the January transfer window.

The player's representative Pavel Zika revealed that Chelsea have made an official offer for Cech and he was waiting to see if Rennes accepted their proposal.
"Chelsea have made an official, written offer to Rennes," Zika told Radiozurnal.

"It's an offer which comes only once in a lifetime.
"Not a lot of clubs could afford him. The ball is now in Rennes' court."

The proposed signing will raise a lot of question marks over the long-term future of current number one Carlo Cudicini as Cech would be keen to establish himself as first-choice at Stamford Bridge.

Yeah, Inter have been eyeing him as well. Strange to be pursuing keepers when we have loads: Cudicini, Ambrosio, Sullivan, Macho(injured), Pidgeley (on loan to Watford). No doubt there'll be a reshuffle if we land Cech or Frey.

like you said you dont need another keeper. I would of thought cover for Duiff would of been priority since hes the only player you dont seem to have a natuaral replacment for

Personally, i'd get rid of Ambrosio, Sullivan, and let's face it, Pidgeley is as good as gone, and bring in either Cech or Frey to contest the number 1 spot. Cudicini just isn't under any competition at the moment. But i would have thought a Cb was more pressing. Perhaps we'll get both.

I don't know what Ranieri is thinking, maybe he is happy with Desailly? I guess we'll have a clearer picture at the end of the window.

Duffer's back in a week or two so there's no need to bother with a replacement.

Looks like Chivu will be at the bridge come the end of the window - he has said that he would love a move to england and chelsea are a great team.....

He will make up part of a great back line

I also think we need another right back - Johnson is playing below par and Melchiot just isnt good enough on a consistent basis for me

Melchiot should know better, but Johnson is only young. He'll make mistakes, but that's the best way to learn. We should have kept Chappie on as cover though!

Roma are totally SKINT - they will be forced to sell....I reckon he will come

Well i realy hope!!

As for Johnson - yeah, he is young and needs to play - but I think his bottle will go in bigger matches and he is a little bit too attack minded sometimes

Chivu wants to stay in Rome.

Theres only talk due to the financial problems that Roma have got, it was his dream move to go there so of course he doesnt want to move whilst the club want him.

That can change pretty quickly.

Interesting to see comments in the media from Roma officials saying that if it came down to the biggest bid of course Chelsea can afford and out bid anyone but that doesnt always mean a player is gonna wanna go there.

Chelsea will find it alot harder to attract the same sort of players as say Arsenal, United or even LFC to a certain extent as they are still fledglings compared to Englands biggest clubs.

But if the player is striclty after a pay day then Chel$ea it is...

I watched Ajax a couple of times last season and I didn't notice this fella, so I'm not going to waste any tears.

In fact, we probably haven't even made an approach for him! How many transfers did the press get right in the summer? Only Veron that I can think of.

GJ has had his best games in the big matches, he'll be fine Tery - trust me. ;)

i hope your rite TB - cos if he keeps playin like he did against fulham when Boa Morte skinned him all game long - we are in trouble!!!!

Could I enquire who these big stars are that you, Arsenal and LFC have been landing? RVN no one had heard of till you tapped him, err...I meant till you signed him. Cantona couldn't get a game in his own country, Keane was just a prospect with a bad haircut. Maybe you meant the Brazilian world cup winner.......err....Kleberson?

Pires was thrown out of Marseille by his own fans and Henry was warming the bench in Turin, Viera likewise. Wiltord was their biggest signing. I don't need to mention Liverpool.

Where are all the Del Pieros, Zidanes and Nedveds? There aren't any.

You had to make them those players world stars, and it's what we are trying to do here.

You can console yourself that all these players are only here for the money, but I know which set of players showed more guts and determination on Nov 30. ;)

I didnt say stars I said attract the same sort of players, they dont have to be stars when they get here just have the potential. I dont like the Madrid idea of buying superstars The clubs I mentioned attract the future stars cos of the prestige attached to the clubs.

LOL Zidane and Nedved have only just hitting peaks in there 30's, Juve we're pissing themselves when they got all that money for Zidane, and Del Boy has been at Juve all his life. Nedved although always a great player is only getting his due nearing the end of his career.

When you look at Arsenal, United and LFC they have some talented youngsters, thats because their parents want them to go to great clubs look at the current deal with Robben, his parents dont want him to just any club, regardless of the money offered.

When Ronaldinho was being sold, the PSG chairman said that Chelsea have come in with an offer but he didnt think going there would benefit the player.

So you tell yourself what you want mate, Im enjoying seeing another yet team trying to emulate our success and chasing our crown, but before the money came in no-one was thinking/dreaming about going to the bridge and putting The Shirt on.

As for Nov 30th, well what can I say you got the same result over us as the saints, but as the table shows it means sweet FA :)

Spoken like a true Sun reader. Robben's been tapped up mate - only one club have made an (illegal) offer. I'm sure other clubs will start sniffing around now. Maybe you'll get him, but are you seriously telling me this kid dreamt of wearing a Man Utd shirt when he was younger? Emulating his heroes Bailey and Moran? Ronaldinho said he dreamt of playing for Manchester, then he said it was Barcelona! Let's face it Vann, footballers are full of shit and when it suits you, you lap it up.
