I'm a Juventini and I think Moratti is making a bad choice releasing Crespo, It will be sad to see him leave the Italian shores and I think Vieri will be next after his recent outburst proclaiming it Crespo goes then so does he, Inter have many strikers in the basis of Ventola,Morfeo,Martins But none of these players measure up to Hernan.

Oh well, that's the beautiful game for you.

do what you want, but chelsea won´t win anything.maybe the fa cup but never the champions league or the premiership

but i like chelsea

Maybe not, but remember what Blackburn achieved a few years ago. Spent a fortune and won the title...

To be honest, I think they now have a better chance that Arsenal, especially with 2 pretty good, consistant, strikers.

I hope so, Crespo in the Premiership will be amazing.
He will also help bring out the best in Veron i think as they play well together for Argentina at international level.

Haha

3 players getting sent-off in the Chelsea win over Leicester today, whats that all about.

I beg to differ, if they keep this squad together for a few seasons, maybe the 2004-2005 or 2005-2006 season they could win the Premeirship. Champs league im not so sure but i reckon they'll challenge for, and someday win, the premiership.

Geremi sent off! Sheesh he's worthless aint he!

I disagree mate, i think there more and capable of winning the league this season. They have a great squad and will be able to cope if they get a few injuries and suspensions, which is always a help.

agree with zico
i think chalsea will challenge for the prem this season
i dont give a shit bout all this needing to gel shit-they are top notch players and top players will play as a team and adapt v.quickly

Theyve got so much class in every department (execpt maybe GK)... its the strongest squad in the league by a country mile, and whats more Abramovic just keeps spending and spending who knows by this time next week they could have Crespo and Makalele or Davids. Rumour has it next season Totti and Nesta will go there. If any Chelsea player gets injured (except possibly Cudicini) then they have more than enough in reserve to compensate, on the other hand if Van Nistelroy or maybe even Keane gets injured for Man Utd then they could be sunk. Similarly Arsenal have a lack of depth at CB, and also if Henry gets injured they could be in trouble, esp at away games (Bergkamp and Wiltord just arent as good).

Chelsea have won a tricky match at Liverpool and the match yesterday and the one in Slovakia show that they can win when not playing that well (which traditionally has been their weak point).

Given they amount of money theyve got and the fact that they are a reasonably prestigous club, and theyre in London they can sign virtually anyone.

Cudicine is a class keeper, no doubt about that one. Probably one of the most underated in the premiership. Not sure how good the backups are though...

I think Chelsea will come very very close to winning the Title this year.
True, some of the signings will take time to gel.

But they have a good mix of young British talent (Terry, Duff, Bridge, Cole, Lampard) and some of the better players in Europe.
Veron will excel in this team. He has nothing more to lose. His spell at United was average. But I can see him doing far better at Chelsea.
If that happens, it will be very difficult to stop them.
They have pace down the wings, great strikers.

It really will boil down to the hunger in the team.

I don't really like the premiership but I will be watching Chelski quite closely, I see Antonio Cassano has morphed into Abrohamovic.

he he

That's okay, mate, as I really don't like Serie A. You have some great teams alright and I enjoy watching them in the Champions League but you're matches are so dull! I watch them on Eurosport and I almost forget they are playing for points! They stroll around like it's a friendly. And cut your hair guys! Why do so many Itilian footballers have girly flowing locks like the cast of Home and Away a few years back?

So many hairbands.....

Lol when they we're talking about it on sky they said he hit it with both feet. Which baffled me! But it makes sense now! The curl on his goal was terrific.

Is Mutu Right footed? Im presuming he is as he hit the freekick with his right. But to have asuch a great left foot shot too! Jeez what a buy he is

How come Leicester had players playing that i've never heard before like Odgers, Owey and Ickov.

You obviously haven't seen the Argentinian league. :l

They don't fancy their league as the best in the world though, like many Italians do.....

Oops! Looks like someone touched a nerve.

..........But wasn't Mutu's goal superb?

In all seriousness, i'm glad he scored on his debut, it always breaks the ice with the fans/club, and helps the player settle his nerves (if he has any) that much easier. Next up, Hernan Crespo. I'm so looking forward to seeing him up front, perhaps with Mutu hanging off him as the second striker. I reckon we'll see this as we revert to the 442 again, as Duff comes back in on the left.

I just can't wait for next seasons Chelsea line-up or as I like to call them, the 'Winning is easy with unlimited funds' team ;)

Buffon

Carlos
Nesta
Cannavaro
Puyol

Duff
Zidane
Veron
Figo

Crespo
Mutu

..and hey presto! You have a Master League team! Chelsea will really earn the title that way, huh?
