Sigh, another person speaking on behalf of others.

Kenyon already had said that the club will be able to function by itself within a number of years and be financially independant.

In my eyes your jealous, you know that Arsenal are no longer going to be competing for the title and that the prestige of the club is fading. I stuck by Chelsea. For all I know youve switched between Arsenal and United everytime one of them won the premiership.

That is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. Why wont we be competing for the title? And since when did the prestige of Arsenal fade? A club with HISTORY never loses it's prestige.

How have you STUCK by Chelsea? What those dark days when you stuggled to get into the champions league?

But I have to admit you've found me out about my club switching, I never thought that would come out again.

Here's those straws again you dickhead.

There, READ THAT, dont say I didnt prove you wrong, READ IT.

Jesus fucking christ this has gone on long enough.

No point responding to you because it seems you just dont read anyones posts, just type your own.

Please, i have picked out at least 10 instances where you had spoken on behalf of Essien, and then you were proved wrong, others on the forum congratulated me on winning that battle. And its over, now get on with your life or your going to be doing this until your 50, unless your already that age now.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH
Why are you being so f*ckin' stupid?!?!?!? ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

You believe Essien when he said he wants a move to Chelsea just ONCE.

It's a predicition! He also said Chelsea wouldn't be spending big again but if it hadn't been for club's rejecting your bids you would have done.

In my eyes that was a very ambitious target which I can't see you keeping to. Maybe you will prove me wrong but I doubt it.

Not that ive had a chance to go through the "dark" times that you had stated, but hell im only 16 dude.

I feel that most of the fans of Arsenal are now finally facing the reality that their hopes of winning major trophies in the coming years are gone, I think you are acting out like this due to that. Just take it head on man.

Ooh swearing now, Im not going to think your any tougher by you swearing, to save you time in the future.

I'll assume as you're 16 your comments are down to immaturity. As for swearing it's an everyday occurence where I live you cunt.

As an Arsenal fan my outlook on the future is of a club that has built a state of the art stadium, has great youth players such as Fabregas, Quincy and Senderos coming through and has made sure that we have the funds to compete in transfer market at the same time.

The fact that the banks were willing to lend a club that much money show they see Arsenal doing well enough to repay them.

Roman wants the club to get more money.

Think like this.

I also believe that Roman will not stay forever at chelsea. He buys the club for X price, gets the club to win all sorts of titles. Meaning in a few years he sells the club or makes the club property go public and gets 2X money for it.
In the end he gets more money that he spent.

Just think in this perspective.

Chelsea set to miss out on Essien
By Andrew McKenzie

Lyon midfielder Michael Essien
Essien targets Premiership
Lyon midfielder Michael Essien appears to have missed out on his dream move to the Premiership this summer, according to the player's agent.

Essien, 22, has been the subject of a reported £26m bid from Chelsea, while Manchester United have also shown interest in the Ghana international.

But agent Fabien Piveteau told BBC Sport: "The chairman of Lyon wants to keep the player for one more year.

"It's not a problem because he's a young player and Lyon is a good club."

He added: "If it is possible to leave for a big club in England then that is better, but the problem is it is not Michael deciding and it is not me."

Have Your Say on 606
Is Essien worth that much?
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas had earlier told French sports daily L'Equipe that any offer would have to be "considerably higher" than £26m.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admitted he would be looking to bolster his midfield before next season and appeared to have earmarked Essien for that role.

But with the Blues now seemingly turning their attentions to Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard, it appears Essien could be set to stay with the French champions.

Piveteau added: "For now there is no news. We have not heard anything from Chelsea.

"There were reports in England that Manchester United had renewed their interest. I don't know if it's true or not."

Last season Essien was voted Player of the Year by France's National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP).

That is completely unrelated. Where in that articles does it say Essien does not want to join Chelsea. Where? You tell me. In fact it says that the club has a problem with the transfer. Whats wrong with you man?

That is because if the club would ever fail to pay the money, the bank would force the team to sell it's assets. Assets being, players, structures etc...

It's just business.

Match Report: Wycombe Wanderers 1 Chelsea 5

Match Report: Wycombe Wanderers 1 Chelsea 5

Chelsea cantered to a convincing victory at the Causeway Stadium tonight with Carlton Cole impressing in the first hour and Jirí Jarošik scoring twice late on.

The game started with an emotional minute’s silence to respect and mourn the dead and injured in last Thursday’s bomb atrocities in London. Chelsea had walked out with Terry and Lampard parading the Premiership trophy.

The team kicked off in the 4-3-3 shape of last season: Gudjohnsen continuing his midfield role but on the left of the three, with Grant holding and Jarošik on the right. It was Grant’s first start in a first team shirt and he won some tackles early on and delivered the first shot of the season which he screwed wide from outside the area.

Up front Carlton Cole led the line. At left-back Del Horno was full of hand signals in the first few minutes to express how he was trying to play, and curled in one dangerous cross.

Gudjohnsen had a free-kick alertly held by goalkeeper Talia after ten minutes and then should have scored when set up by Carlton Cole and Duff, but lacked sharpness in chipping the goalkeeper.

The most dramatic action came at the other end when a Nuno Morais error allowed Nathan Tyson through on goal and his powerful drive was brilliantly held by Cudicini diving low to his left.

Chelsea created chances despite the lack of more than a week’s work: Gudjohnsen belted a Duff cross and Talia saved exceptionally well, diving to his left, and then Del Horno headed wide when well placed.

Midway through the first-half when the ball went out of play referee Paul Taylor stopped play for a water break. Have you ever seen that before? How sensible!

The lead was grabbed after 29 minutes, Duff taking Carlton Cole’s square pass and from the left driving low and hard across Talia, the goalkeeper getting his arm to the ball but not stopping it.

Three minutes later Cole pounced himself when his own header bounced off the bar and Gudjohnsen headed it down to him, and he volleyed home.

At half-time José Mourinho handed out a number of congratulatory slaps, most notably to Gudjohnsen and Carlton Cole. His team had had six shots on target and nine corners.

The second-half kicked off with Cech in goal, Johnson shifting to centre-back and Ferriera, Gallas and Jonas Elmer all coming on. In midfield Tiago replaced Grant, and Lampard came on for Gudjohnsen, and in attack Robben swapped with Duff. The two Coles and Jarošik stayed on, the latter performing the midfield holding role.

Carlton Cole quickly set up Joe who sliced wide the easiest chance of the game, and then the England midfielder weaved his way to the by-line and scooped a cross over the keeper but it was cleared from the line.

Next Jarošik blasted a volley from outside the area that brought the best out of the flying Talia once more. Once again there had been good approach play by Carlton Cole.

Wycombe made a couple of substitutions ten minutes into the half and one of them, Charlie Griffin who had replaced Tommy Mooney, rose impressively and headed in a left-wing cross. But a minute later Robben raced through alone from Tiago’s pass to sweep the ball past Talia for the third.

Filipe Morais immediately replaced a tired looking Carlton Cole, taking up his normal right-wing position which meant that Joe Cole switched to centre-forward. Six minutes later Watt went on for Johnson. Soon after a Lampard special from over 20 yards battered Talia’s fists with ferocious movement. Then sloppy Wycombe play gifted the ball to Robben whose control was exemplary and shot spot on, but Talia recovered to palm away.

The fourth goal was coming and it was blasted in by Jarošik after Robben had destroyed the right-back and crossed. Midway through the half the final substitution was made, Phil Younghusband going on for Joe Cole.

With 14 minutes left Wycombe sent on former England midfielder Rob Lee. Morais was robbed of a possible goal when his volley from Robben’s cross struck Lampard, but Cech had to make a diving save from Russell Martin on the edge of the area.

Robben continued to penetrate and create and looked in good nick. But it was Jarošik who claimed the fifth, an individual effort which he achieved with a little luck and a lot of perseverance.

Compare this to the 1-1 draw after a week’s training with Oxford Utd one year ago, and things have started well.

Chelsea supports José
Wednesday, Jul 13, 2005

Chelsea has seen the statements issued by the Football Association and the Premier League today in response to comments made by José Mourinho.

Chelsea is very aware of its responsibilities to uphold the image of the game and does not want to get involved in conflict with either the FA or the Premier League, neither does José. Any concerns we might have over issues of governance within football, or other topics of debate, will be communicated through the appropriate channels.

Our observation on the fixtures issue is purely a factual one, that we have five away matches in the Premiership following the Champions League group games.

Over recent months there has been a series of critical comments from Arsenal about key individuals at Chelsea and the club as a whole. These were not isolated incidents. Like any club, Chelsea believes it is entitled to defend itself publicly against such criticisms, when appropriate, and is fully supportive of José Mourinho when he does so.

Kickass.

I'm begging you, if you cant fight back the post I've quoted below then just be a man, accept defeat and dont bring it up again cuz you're the one that started this TWICE and started with Nickybaker too.
You're still avoiding this and not telling me why what I've quoted below is wrong and why you're right.

RuneEdge said:
I didnt want to do this but since you brought this up, dont come back telling me to end it cuz this time its gonna finish once and for all.
OK. First of all lets look at the point you're trying to make.
  • You think the clubs are rejecting Chelsea, not the player
  • You think Essien really wants to join Chelsea
  • Lyon are asking for too much
  • You're right because Milanista is on your side ( )
That is basically the base of your arguement. All I can say to that is bullshit.

First of all, clubs always reject bids for their star players, theres no denying that. But that doesnt stop a team from purchasing that player if the player wants to join. Fulham didnt want to let go of Louis Saha but Saha threaten to leave for free when his contract runs out because he was so desperate to join Man Utd. If Essien was as serious as bbc.com make him out to be, Lyon would have no choice but to let him leave for a price rather than for free. If Essien is not willing to do a "Sol Campbell", you have to start questioning how serious is he about a move to Chelsea.

Secondly, you posted an interview from Essien saying he wants to join Chelsea. Firstly, you have to remember that not everything you read is true. And another thing you need to do is stop only believing stories that back up your arguement. If you're gonna believe the speculation, lets look at ALL of the stories, shall we?

2 weeks later, he now says he wants to join Chelsea.

The guy is saying something different all the time so you cant believe everything you read. And Lyon have made it clear that they dont want Essien to leave so if he DID join Chelsea or Man Utd, it'll also prove my point that a club cant hold back a player from joining another team if he's desperate to leave.
Which then proves my main point which is that after attempting to buy for nearly 20 players, none of them moved cuz they dont want to come to Stamford Bridge. If anyone does, and thats if he does cuz no one knows the truth, its Essien. But IMO, he'd prefer Man Utd because he has idolised players like Beckham and Cantona for years and its been his dream to play for us. The Chelsea move is just about the money.

Another point you made was that Lyon are asking too much money. Thats no excuse. Firstly, Chelsea have loads of cash to throw around. If they wanted Essien so bad, why not just pay the asking price? Oh yeah, I just remembered, you have to convince the PLAYER too. And secondly, putting on a big price tag is just a way of fighting off bids. If Essien does leave, he'd probably go for less that the asking price. Rooney's price tag was originally £50million and Everton said that he's not going for anything less. How much did Man Utd pay? We only paid £10million up front and promised another £10million next season with maybe another £10million depending on performance and appearences. Everton lost atleast £20million. When Alan Smith was about to join Man Utd, his price tag was about £12million but we got him for £7million. PSV at one point said they want over £10million for Ji-Sung Park but we got him eventually for £4million.
Cant you see that the price tag is only there to frighten people? If Chelsea wanted to buy those players, they'd get them cheaper but the problem is that player himself isnt serious about the move.

So for the last time, open your eyes, read my post properly and give me a REAL reason why you're right.

HAHHAHAH
OMG

SHOW ME IN ANY OF THOSE ARTICLES WHERE ESSIEN SAYS HE DOES NOT WANT TO JOIN CHELSEA.

YOU SAID ESSIEN DOES NOT WANT TO JOIN CHELSEA. SHOW ME WHERE HE SAYS THAT. JUST SHOW ME.

IF HE PREFERS MAN UNITED THAT STILL DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE DOES NOT WANT TO JOIN CHELSEA.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, HOW STUPID CAN YOU GET.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DID YOU EVEN READ THE POST?
I said that you cant believe what Essien says cuz one day he says he wants to move to Man Utd, the next time he says he wants to move to Chelsea, and then he says he wants to stay.
My f*ckin' point is, now first get this into your thick skull before posting, just cuz he said he wants to join, it doesnt mean he really does cuz at one time he also said he wants to stay or go to Man Utd.
So dont ever post that shitty interview about him wanting to move cuz we dont know if its the truth.

And if you actually read my post, which you obviously didnt, it proves that you cant possibly win this arguement. Let me refresh your memory.
RuneEdge said:

So basically, if Essien rejects you, its just be another player to the list of players that have snubbed you. But even if he signs for Chelsea, it just proves that after making bids and being linked with so many players like Joaquin, Robinho, Adriano, Sheva, etc, the only person you could sign was someone like Essien and he doesnt even solve any problems cuz you already have so many midfielders.

You're really starting to look like an idiot so to save yourself, just admit that you're wrong for once and atleast people will respect you for being a man.

Your argument was that he does not want to join Chelsea though, not that he prefers United.

Secondly the players you listed :Joaquin, Robinho, Adriano, Sheva etc, would snub United too. Its nothing against Chelsea man.

Essien would solve the problem of the third spot next to lamps of makelele.

How am i wrong? Im just saying that you said Essien does not want to join Chelsea, and im saying that he never said that. I dont understand you man.

This is the last of this stupid thing youll hear from me Revan, I dont understand what he is saying anymore. Firstly he says Essien does not want to join Chelsea, now he is saying he prefers united, hes not sticking to his argument. Nevermind.

Revan said:
the same thing.
he invested in the club, he may or may not succeed.
But the start looks promising.

It depends on what he wishes to gain.

If he wants purely trophies then yes things are going well.

If he wants a profitable company he hasn't, in his first season he doubled the wage bill and that does include signings from this or the previous season.
