Chelsea captain John Terry has revealed that he wants to emulate Milan legend Paolo Maldini in being a one-club man.
The England man reflected on the most successful season he has had with The Blues, as Chelsea claimed the Premiership title and the Carling Cup last term.
Terry was in Prague, Czech Republic, to meet Czech-based Chelsea fans after an invite from Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech.
It was there that the centre back admitted his desire to see out his career at Stamford Bridge and emulate the career Maldini has established with both Milan and Italy during his time.
"I love Chelsea and never want to leave Chelsea," Terry told the Czech daily Idnes.
"I also hope that one day I will be as good as Maldini."
 I bet you're still a bit worried Chelsea might rob him.Milanista said:Its official now that Milan is the only team to have bidded, and it seems it will be done by weds.
But if Chelsea get Gilardino, you'll need Crespo more than they need Kaladze.Milanista said:Ofcourse, since its Chelsea. But Chelsea need Kaladze more than we need Crespo, so theyre trying to keep it cool for now.
Why waste £50million finding out when you know what Eidur can do?jamie_mack said:Eidur can do a great job! but can he do a job as good as a Adriano?
But Owen is a proven scorer in La Liga, Premiership and International level. Players like him you can put money into with confidence.jamie_mack said:How can you say that when in your thread your saying get Owen in for Saha!
Nihat is expected to spend a season at CSKA before being moved onto Chelsea, if he impresses manager Jose Mourinho, where Blues owner Roman Abramovich also has an interest in the Russian club through his oil company.
You dont get my point. I'm trying to say that its safer to spend a lot of money on a player from the same league. Gilardino already plays in Serie A so if he joins Milan, he'll basically be playing against the same defence which we know he can do well against. It was the same case with Rooney.Milanista said:Adriano has proved it as much as Rooney has, Adriano was a success in Brazil, Inter, Fiorentina and Parma, and during the Copa America he was the hero of Brazil. Rooney had proven himself for England in the Euros... and United splashed out 30m.
Now why would you want to do that?chelsea_fan said:So Gallas, Huth, Terry, Carvalho, Ferriera, Bridge, Del Horno, G.Johnsen, Geremi(played right back a few times) damn =p! image fielding all of them at the same time, =P
