LMAO when Zaragoza's keeper got hounded..

'Who's the wanker in the pink? Who's the wannnnker.. in the pink'

and..

'Does your boyfriend know you here, Does your boyfriend know your here'

It's a bit to hot today in Fulham and hence we didn't get much action but a win none the less and a good send off for Franco.

My God! What did he think he was doing??? - it was a friendly for crying out loud! What a twat....

Nice to see the entire Zaragoza team get into the spirit of things though - the only thing they forgot was to wave their imaginary yellow cards.

Agreed Terry.. I mean Gianfranco could of maybe got a goodbye goal.. but no :(.

KEZMAN SUSPENSION OVERTURNED
Monday 9th August 2004

Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman has escaped a three-match suspension after The Football Association upheld his appeal for wrongful dismissal.

Kezman was sent off during The Blues' 3-0 victory over Roma on the pre-season trip to the United States after a clash with Olivier Dacourt.

Though he was banned for the final game of the Champions World Series against Milan, Kezman was also hit with a domestic suspension.

But Chelsea felt their summer signing was harshly treated after The FA acted upon the referee's report sent by the US Soccer Federation and lodged an appeal.

At a disciplinary commission hearing, the ban was overturned and Kezman will not serve any additional punishment.

The Serbo-Montenegrin would have been suspended for the Premiership meetings with Birmingham City, Crystal Palace and Southampton.

Kezman will now be able to commence his competitive Chelsea career in the knowledge it will not be immediately interrupted after the opening game against Manchester United on Sunday.

So basically - everyone knew the rules but the FA - who had only just announced the new rules at a press conference a day or two before.

Any HONG KONG Chelsea's fans here??

Just wondering, when and which channel no. that i can watch the first match vs Man. Utd on TV???

Just checked the HK Cable TV site, but i cant find the schedule of that match. I dont want to miss it... ...

Me. Hong Kong Espn are no longer showing it so you have to get now broadband tv and subsribe to the singapore one, however, Super Soccer on Cable tv channel 61 i think is showing the premiership for this season. However there will be no John Dykes or football focus, and im unusure about english commentary. So if i were you id subscribe to now tv and get espn and star sports, the thing about that is it starts on the 17th and the man u v chelsea game is on the 15th, as for me, i have satelllite tv which means i have ESPN Asia which is from india and shows premiership matches wth Mr. Dykes and co. My suggested thing to do is watch the man u v chelsea match on cable tv, after the 17th cancel your cable tv subscription as it is no longer needed and now tv will be all you need.

Not heard about Duff for awhile, has he featured pre-season??

Whats happened to Robben is it his hamstring again??

Duff featured some in the US. I think he looked dangerous as always (when healthy at least). He had some great touches on the ball, and made some incredible positiion shifts with the ball at his feet, that threw the defense into temporary backslide. I think Chelsea will be fine.

Duff started against Real Zaragoza at the Bridge last Sunday, as i saw him with my own eyes. He had a chance in the first 5 mins actually, on his right foot, but it went straight at the keeper. So yeah, he's around.

Predicitons for the team on Sunday? I think José will go for:

Good strong team hhat T, especially down the middle.

What a game to start the season, us winning last nite will have done us good, I fancy a draw which would be a good result for us, just gotta see if theres any knocks from last nite.

I'm looking forward to see how Drogba looks, his old teamates have been slagging him off but a guy his size should do good over here.

I read that - funny article! Very sour grapes from the lad, I've seen nothing from Drogba that indicates he is arrogant at all. He seems more of a gentle giant to be honest.

I don't think a draw would be a disaster but I would be pretty disappointed if we don't beat you.

I agree with that T apart from Cech in goal. I think it will be Carlo just for his Premiership experience.

Drogba, Gudjohnsen and Lampard are gonna cause havoc. It'l interesting to see how Silvestre, O'shea and Fortune cope with that

I'll be watched the game from a bar in the Algarve BTW, which will be nice.

I'll be in the MHU, which is even better! ;)

I think Cech will definitely play. He's been better in pre season, and got 70 mins to Carlo's 20 on Sunday.

My only worry will be picking gaps - we aren't going to stretch them much with width and Frankie's speciality isn't threading balls through the eye of a needle. Eidur needs to play well on Sunday - it all rests on him.

Thats what I thought, he seems pretty humble.

The pressure is on you's to win and everyoen I speak to is anticipating a mauling so anything else is a bonus for us.

I thought Mourinho said Kezman is his first striker? why shouldn't he play in stead of Gudjohnsen, Kezman is better than him.

I don't know much about Kezman, but from what I've seen, I don't think this is his type of game. I think he will get 20-30 mins later on, but I think José wants a battering ram and a lock picker to start.

In terms of who is top dog striker, I'm pretty sure JM loves Eidur most of all. (Didn't he used to play for PSV too?)

Yeah he did for a while :D He didn't made a real good impression on me. But I think he is good for Chelsea although I'd prefer to see Kezman play.

After their pre seasons i dont see how any of the three strikers can be left out!! Good position to be in though, and one we havent had for quiet some time. Three top quality strikers who WILL get goals, oh how i love chelsea!! And we at last, after all this money, are spoilt for choice!!
