Arsenal Thread

Also read that the board wanted to pay 38m for Draxler but Wenger rejected it himself because he thought it was above Draxlers value.

Yeah read that too , and that's good he's not worth it , and also he's injured so I can't see him help you guys to much this season ... With that money you can buy a world class player in summer

To be honest Draxler is already almost world class and he's only 20. And his injury isn't that long, only 1,5-2 more weeks. Anyway, we will probably go after him in the summer.

So apparently Källström picked up an injury during his first training today and could be out for three months or worse.

Well fuck.

Seems like the estimates aren't correct. He picked up a back injury but it still isn't clear how long he'll be out for.

It's probably just our record, not the Premier League record.

Rosicky is said to be able to play today, so he and Arteta will likely start.

The weirdness of Källström's injury is baffling. According to some reports Wenger knew he was injured and still signed him. That could be the official story released by Arsenal anyway, just to save face, cause I refuse to believe they knew about it before.

Just doesn't make sense. A player that comes on loan to play less than 4 months, was expected to fill in some gaps immediately (Ramsey and Wilshere's injuries and Flamini's 4 match ban), but instead he will miss 1 whole month!

This is just weird.

Well, let's go for a win today against Palace and worry about that later.
Expect Palace to be extremely cagey and even dirty, given how they're now managed by Tony Pulis.

One of those early goals by Giroud should do the trick and make this a bit easier for us.
COYG!

:SNACK: The OX in the Box! I was going to say ...he doesn`t look good in the middle, poor vision. Then, he scores and does it w/o looking - cheeky back pass.

Our new signing \0/

RVP has a sweet package at Mutd. He's not leaving and ppl are just saying the obvious. If , he comes it w'd be on free as a sub after Mutd releases him :)

The Ox went box to box like a fox! That was a very good performance. I'd prefer to have him play a bit more offensively - his finishing abilities have just been showcased to sustain my point. But I have to say he played quite well as a midfielder, even if he hadn't scored those goals. I think he does have a very good vision and passing abilities, specialy for his age. In a way that Walcott, for instance, still can't do it.
I think the Ox is much more versatile. Having said that, I still think that Wenger should give him a real go as a winger, once we have our midfielders back and don't need to improvise with him. I think him, Gnabry and Podolski should be able to carry us through to great results in the absence of Theo.

As for Palace, I have to admit they weren't so dirty actually. I can't remember any incident worthy of mention. IMO Villa was much worse, especially that sneaky bastard Agbonlahor. Rosicky had complications on his nose surgery and it was all because of that elbowy twat.

Well, today we'll be watching the sugar daddies splitting the points :D
