In all fairness I love Thierry. A great man - a great player and he is staying in the best league in the world. I respect him a lot. He said that ENGLAND is the place to play football - shove that up your ass Serie A, La Liga etc - he said how OUR fans are the best in the world.

Dennis was the catalyst for the complete change of the whole way arsenal play football - he is beyond legend.

I have the DVD of his and Henry's first 100 goals and Bergkamps goals are all fantastic he was an artist of the game. His goal against Newcastle where he spins around Dabizas is pure genius and my favourite goal of all time ever.

There is no doubt that the two doubles we achieved was when Bergkamp was at the top of his game, he was invaluable to us - I will always remember him!

When I am old and in a home and can't even remember my childrens names and who they are, I would still like to think the only words I will utter will be 'Bergkamp'. Would you like any fish for supper bbbybx? and all I will say is 'Bergkamp'. wouold you like to go to the seaside today? and all I will say is 'Bergkamp'

As you are aware, after eleven tremendous years service, Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp is set to play in a star-studded testimonial in his honour against his former club Ajax, in the curtain-raising match at Emirates Stadium. This has provisionally been planned for July 22nd 2006.

hmmmmm..... i aint gonna go this road wit u.... was it a successful season ...yes it ... when u look at in terms of the adversity this team faced and the so called transition period.. then we still get a 4th place finish and then get to play in the champs league finals...

Overall..... it is the worst season when u compare it to the previous 8-9yrs when we never finished below 1st or 2nd position...

Example... if are used to coming out first in ur class for maybe 6yrs now.... and on ur 7th yrs u come 3rd or 4th.... were u successful... yes u were but is dat ur worst yr so far... yes it is cos u used to finishing 1st dude...

ok boo to my previous post. but you have to admit ninja that its pretty ridiculous for you to say its "OUR" sport. I think it is know as the world sport for a reason. No one thinks of football as an english game. I think Brazilians would have a pretty good argument that it is THEIR sport.

To be fair, football may have started in England, but its truly the world's sport. You should be happy that some of us in the US enjoy football. Its good for the game. I hope someday it is really big here.

And if thats not good enough, you want to fight?

ps. i'm glad henry is staying, but truly he should have done better in the final. oy.

You talk of 4th place like it is great. May i remind you its mandatory for Arsenal to qualify for CL every year. A team like Bolton or Charlton, 4th place is something to be cherished. Im sure if Arsenal just avoided relegation while beating your nearest rivals tottenham to the drop. You be telling me how great it was considering the 'adversity' your team had to face. Did you know every team faces 'adversity' in a season?

But please how can you seriously tell me that finishing 3rd or 4th after coming 1st in previous seasons stil make it successful? its absurd. A team that finsihes top all the time and then one season they fail to finish top makes that season a failure. NOT SUCCESSFUL!! I cant believe I have to tell you this. Yet you have the cheek to try and taunt me saying 'think before I post' when your the one who needs to learn basic logic. Also why so many spaces in between your sentences, do you stutter when trying to explain your illogical crap?

You guys are complete dickheads. I wouldn't regard it as a successful season, but it certainly isnt' a failiure. We secured everything necassary to continue the club moving forward. I think most Arsenal fans would have taken heart from our performance in Paris, we played with a passion and desire not to mention the togetherness of the team. I'm quite looking forward to next season, we will be much much stronger, playing in a new stadium, and even after an "unsuccessful" season still have the greatest player to grace the English league leading us out. Along with whoever Arsene decides to bring in.

4th was special because of the circumstances, but you're too much of an imbocile to realise that. I reckon overall we have more positives to take out of the end to the season than you do (i'll list them when you start to whinge).

we've blooded a shitload of new players in one season and still managed to finish 4th in the league and made the final in europe.....yeh real terrible season.

if you think liverpool have really made great strides in the league your dillusional.....robbie fowler ROFL yeh he's good for about 8 goals a season ....mostly taken in the carling cup if he's lucky. they need like 3 new strikers to come in and gel straight away ....ugh yeh ok. once again it's upto gerrard to score the majority of their goals.

scum united will not challenge for the title next season either, your glory days aren't coming back anytime soon with the signing quality lately.

arsenal v roman bridge next season for the league ....the rest are DREAMING

Us and Liverpool looked like we actually had a chance at some point. Especially us who not only beat Chelsea first this season but also got within a short margin of points were it almost looked as though it might be our time. You on the other hand were too busy busting your ass trying to get 4th place which was always out of your hands even on the last day of the season. And to top it off, you guys got a lucky break with the whole food poisoning incident. If anything, you guys only deserve UEFA Cup. football.
