Arsenal Thread

Yea good one cesc. u made teh rigth decions. Fuck playing under wenger and the current board. Cesc if you want to become a true legend, you have to do it in a top club and arsenal are NOT a top club.

Next up Nasri, followed my RVP in january or next summer transfer window with possibly Wilshere following suit.

Dont blame any of oour best players leaving us. Who the fuck wants to play for a club who only cares about finishing 4th? Sorry but if your a player wishing to advance in there career by u know, challenging for top honours and occasionaly winning it, Arsenal are not the club anymore.

Arsenal can now be classed in the same catagory as Spurs and liverpool.

All Hail to the mighty Wenger, the best manager ever in the world who always is right with his tactics and decisions and no other manager in the world can do a better job:SHOCK:

change the record

'We sold Cesc for a reduced fee. If you can make an auction between Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City, you will certainly get more money, but he just wanted to go to Barcelona.

'Cesc went because he was desperate to play for his home town at a club where his grandfather was a member of the committee. It's not a financial affair but one of the heart.'

'We did want to get a decent fee,' said the Frenchman. 'You cannot say because you want to get the deal done as quickly as possible, "Just take him and give us what you want". You have to fight for your rights.'

He basically implied that Fabregas deserved to have a decision after years of service and holding out for the last few seasons.

Wenger 1st hug to a player was Fabregas after he scored at the San Siro! Wenger will get it right and those who think not can jog on! don`t be a silly mug.

Eboue deal apparently went through. Will miss his stories, not his playing.
Apparently his most notorious contribution was attending Gilberto Silva's Christmas Party in 2006 dressed as a tiger, hiding behind the door and jumping on arriving guests  (it was not a fancy dress party)

I'll miss the "You only came to see Eboue" chants too. But he had to go, his stupid mistakes were a price too high to pay.

So, Arsenal shifting more of the dead wood. That's good news, let's wait and see Bendtner now.

Given Chamakh's poor form, I wanted him to stay too. But Nick already said he wants to go and if he stays a)he will be a sub, when he wants 1st team footie; and b)Wenger would play him as a winger, which must be frustrating for him, as it certainly is for us fans.

Very weird that Walcott has a book out and he is also commenting on the current England boss?!

Looks like he wants to be dropped? very strange.

Gilberto’s house is the centre of the Universe*

Adebayor revealed that, far from team spirit splintering after a troubled season, the Gunners are still a close-knit group held together by joker Emmanuel Eboue.

“He’s funnier than the funniest comedians on TV,” said Adebayor.

“Sometimes when he eats he puts food up his nose and when he met the Queen at Buckingham Palace he was on the floor playing with her corgis.

“At our Christmas party at Gilberto’s house it wasn’t fancy dress, but there was Eboue dressed as a tiger - with a tail and everything - waiting for me behind the door.

“When I arrived he made a noise like a tiger roaring.

“For a moment I was in a big panic, but then I saw him and I though, ‘Oh, its only him!’.”

So RvP is now captain. Age 27, and he should be ready to leave in 2-3 years.

I think we have enough wingers now, so hopefully he will get played in his proper position.

I don't think it was shortage of wingers that made him play Bendtner as a winger. Even if it was, when he had RVP and Nick together, one would think Robin being quicker and more of a dribbler would be putting in crosses for the tall Dane. Instead, Wenger prefered to have Robin as CF and Nick playing wide. I never got my head around that. Sometimes it's just impossible to defend Wenger's weirdest decisions.

On other news, Vela will go out (again) on loan:
http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/vela-and-botelho-go-on-loan-to-spain

Part 1 of the plan - clearing the decks - is underway. Good. Wenger knows his 3rd team has failed, now it's time to build his 4th.
Now it is time to get some experience to throw into the mix.
We have enough youth in the squad, I guess everybody here would agree with that.

Anymore £15m Oxelade-Chandelier type signings and I'm booking a ticket to London to kick Wenger in the nuts.

Nasri is going (good) from the sounds on Twitter;

@arsenalfrance "Nasri : I've been very disappointed by the supporters last weekend. I am still an arsenal player but I will certainly leave very soon.../*it's nearly done.. But I will leave with bitterness and anger in my heart... I am proud for having played with the Gunners...

He has a different twitter name doesn't he? So it might not be him.

anyway I hope it is true.

Vela is a great finisher, but there is just something missing at the moment. Hopefully he finds that missing ingredient while on loan this season, I really hope he does, because he could be excellent.

Thought Udinese were very good tonight. Hope they go through. I like to see them as the Italian Arsenal. Their balance is always white - sell big and buy small.

Another clean sheet :DD

Was hoping after the start that we would get at least another.

Udinese played well and after the two defensive injuries our defence did well to keep a clean sheet.

Was pleased at the way the whole team seemed to get back to defend at times, Walcott looked well up for it from the off.

Chamakh was a real worry though, just seems clueless, he tried a few fancy flicks, instead of the easy touch and pass, which just bemused me as we were under pressure a couple of times and needed to keep hold of the ball and his flicks gave it back to them!

Hopefully he sorts himself out.

Second leg is going to be very stressful, hopfully we get an early goal again.

Good result, not a great performance. With better finishing Udinese could easily have won.

Still, lots of inexperienced players out there, and maybe it told a bit. Will be interesting to see who Wenger fields against Liverpool - whether or not he keeps some players fit for next Wednesday.

So Bendtner didn't come on then? I reckon this as the biggest sign that he's not in Wenger's plans, as he refused to cup-tie him, even playing a useless Marouane Chamakh.

Our squad is thin thin thin thin... Djourou doing his hamstring underlines our need for a Centre Half.
We need a proper CF for when RVP can't play. If he gets sidelined for some 2 months (God forbid) Chamakh will ruin our season. We need a decent backup there.
And what to say about our midfield? Oh my, oh my...

Basically we need more signings than ever before. I think we need at least 1 signing in each area. For midfield maybe even 2, to cope with Fab and Nasri departures. Notice that I'm resigned to the fact that we're having Frimpster as Song's backup, so nevermind a new DMF... not gonna happen
