Thats like saying...
"Its clear that the reason we cant win the title is because we dont have a billionaire like Abramovich running our club. Once we find a sugar daddy and sign big names like Adriano but still fail, THEN take the piss cuz we deserve it then".

Your logic is on another planet sometimes mate. How is that even approacing the same thing? We have had two midfielders and two centrebacks under 21 for the last month or so for a defence. That has really happend. I don't think anyone has suggested we would win the league but you can't expect those four to be as good as our first choice defence.

AAAAAnyway, the Independent says we've hit the post 12 times this season, more than any other Premiership club. Now if they had been goals we would definately be top of the league.

(That's a joke BTW, please spare us another bullsh*t analogy )

it could be worse, we could be second with no hope of winning the league and second place still in the balance, out of europe and praying for a league cup win WITH our first team...

at least we can and most probably will get better once we have our players back. ashley has been out since october which is a long time, cliche for about 3 months now...

This has happened a couple of times now. I say something then someone says 'Thats like saying....'

Its not like saying anything apart from what I am saying!!

I swear you are in a padded room with a straight jacket on, typing this shit out with your nose, you mental. Your arguments have no logic - and it makes you sound like a bit of a numpty.

Please don't tell me again 'thats like saying...blah blah blah' because I find it patronising....and that pisses me off!

I know what I am saying and what I say is the truth and nothing but the truth so help me Bergkamp.

Yeah, and thats worse than being out of the FA Cup, out of the League Cup, fighting your arse off to secure 4th place and facing Real Madrid (of all teams) using what is quite possibly the worse defence you lot have fielded in years.
Now lets go back in time to the start of this season. You had just lost the title to Chelsea after going undefeated for a whole season the year before, you also won the FA Cup, you lost to Bayern Munich in the later stages of the CL so you must be thinking 'hey, that was a bad day, we'll be stronger this time'. Now compare that to the state you're in now. Can you blame anyone if your morale in down and guys like Henry could possibly be considering a move?

Well Heinze, Fortune and Scholes are out for the rest of the season. But you wont see us whining. We're tired of our injuries and understand that using it as an excuse doesnt do us any good.

In case you didnt get it, I was saying that when you point out your flaws and disadvantages, its pretty obvious that your be a better team if those problems didnt exists. Your defensive crisis is YOUR problem that you have to deal with. Saying you'd be a better team without it is as obvious and dumb as saying "If we could defend goals, we cant lose".

We've been playing our last few games without a central midfielder altogether and of course you'd now understand how important a central, especially a defensive one, means to a team. And we had a midfield of Rooney and Rio who arent even midfielders at all. Yet we still come out on top in most of our games.
I've come to learn a simple lesson from our last season. If your defence lacks important players, then your attack will just have to step up a gear to make up for it. And its obvious that your attack cant do that.

Welcome to our last season.

hahah, so help me Bergkamp!

rune, you paraphrase to mock, but it is the reality of the situation. Nobody has a shot at the title with abramovich buying up all the talent. Not us and not you.

The whole point of it is to show that if someone else had said something like that, you'd be able to see how that comment is dumb but just cuz you wrote it yourself, you think it makes sense.

Im sure Graeme Sourness of newcaste use to tell people not to judge his side untill he has a fully fit squad. This poor example of an excuse went on for months until the board finally realised it wasnt the injuries, its was the team not performiing. All this 'if we had so and so back' 'dont judge us' crap is cheap excuses for a poor run of results.

RuneEdges analogy was spot on, every team could say some rubbish like that. United can say dont judge untill they get proper midfielders. Liverpool can say dont judge untill fowler gets into shape.

I've never said we'll win the title. I accepted that we lost before Christmas.
I'm just saying that your excuses for your current form are kinda pathetic and you should just accept that you've been playing badly. And lets face it, if someone like Ashley Col was still playing, how much of a difference would that make? Not much.
Which is why I dont bother with making excuses for injuries anymore unless its someone like a Ruud van Nistelrooy or a Thierry Henry.

Like what Alucard said, what you lot are doing is just a really really crappy way of justifying your drop in form.
All I hear is dont judge until so and so happens or just wait until this guy or that guy is back in shape. You can go on like this for years with those crappy excuses and we'll all be here waiting for you to finally shoot yourself in the head.

The point was lost along time ago - I don't even think you had a point!

The point is you keep regurgitating the same old shit, over and over again.

I've had enough of arguing, I'm bored now.....COME ON ARSENAL!!!

by the way - what ever I say is not dumb and it does make sense. Think of yourself but completeley the opposite. Thats me and I like me and I agree with me...Ok?

What are you 2 actually doing in this thread? I think you have made your point to the fact of being really obsessive about it. Move along....the opinions of plastic Utd fans really don't interest us.

Its funny how i havnt seen any arsenal fan respond and make a valid point. It looks as if you dont llike the truth. Noone here has said' ok i see your point but i think....'. Its all gets resorted into asking silly questions like the one above.

So you prefer just arsenal fans in this thread sucking eachother and being deluded about the future? I dont think it would be any fun with just having the teams supporters in one thread, its good everyone from whatver club can post opinion and have a little banter.

I agree with the other fans in other threads, it does make it more interesting - but it sometimes drags on, because people get pissed off with other fans telling them about their own team. I am guilty of this aswell.

People are biased and will not change their minds - so it goes on forever and ever and gets boring.

I have quite enjoyed the banter, but I have had many rows with a few of my friends who support Man U and Tottenham and it just escalates and nothing is resolved. But it is a good laugh in the Pub - but only if you outnumber the opposite team.

Lets continue the lively topical debate - but less with the personal insults (I will stop aswell - its not big and its not clever!)

Well said :applause: this is how it should be. I hate when people insult eachother for no reason other than someone disliking some one elses opinion.

Yeah maybe you are right (for once!) I have just checked the Utd thread out and it is indeed like you say full of fans "sucking eachother and being deluded about the future".

You are of course welcome here anytime you like if you have valid points you would like to put across.

Anyway, back to the more important matters. Tonight's match. This is a crucial point in our league season. If we can get a win here it really is game on. If we lose, I fear that will set us back and 4th will become a struggle.

COME ON YOU REDS!!

The united thread is in good harmony because things on the pitch for united are going well. Most united fans are optimistic about the future cuz were in good stead performance wise and the current crop of players at our disposal along with upcoming arrivals promised in the summer. Nothing deluded about that. If people were saying wer still the best team in europe, wer going to win the league, your feeble quote of what i said could maybe stand justified.

If you think that being out of Europe, 2nd in the league with absolutely no chance of winning it, albeit still in the FA Cup and in the Carling Cup final means things are going well then yes in my opinion you are deluded. Its 3 years since you were Champions, oh how your standards have slipped. But I guess that discussion is for the United thread.

Oh gosh here we go. United actually do have chance;12points with 3months to go isnt impossible turn around. Its as much possible as arsenal beating Real Madrid. 2nd in the league with all the problems united experienced this year is very good and i would settle for that along with fa cup and league cup(if we do win i may add). I admit The standards have dropped compared to a few seasons ago. But united are going the right way about things to correcting that and maintaining high standards again.

Of course you have a chance, its a very small one though. We have an even smaller one!

I would say that very large straws are being clutched if you think you can win the league. 12 points behind a crumbling Newcastle side is one thing, but 12 points behind a robotic Chelsea side is a totally different matter altogether. Come on, be honest with yourself, United will get nowhere the title this season.

I didnt say i think wever gonna win it. I said there is a chance cuz you said ther is 'absolutly no chance'.

be honest with yourself mate, arsenal have no CHANCE winning the CL, and perhaps being out of europe all together... so lets say you lose to Real, do you at that point still think your having a better season then MAN U
