Arsenal Thread

Your sense of humour is fucked up if you think it's funny to call someone a child raper!

I'll take a draw against Bolton home or away at the moment as our confidence agaianst them has been shot to pieces!

Well its nothing compared to the obscene jokes i see on this forum. Its only cuz its me you want to start an argument about it and act high and mighty.

if zaragoza can destroy madrid so can we, they are no where near as good as they used to be, yet neither are we, so it will be interesting. as i said before our biggest weakness of being, well, weak wont be exploited by them and we will have an oppotunity to play our football. maybe games away against bolton could actually help us out, judging by saturday we look more capable of grinding out a result. pires played well too, and having him back to even near his best would be very profitable.

If Zaragoza can win the Spanish cup, so can Arsenal? You cant judge Real Madrid from a cup defeat where their stars were rested... note that this Zaragoza also beat Barca 3-1 since its their only chance of winning any silverware. In La Liga, Real have been flying high, and havent lost since the start of 2006. So I wouldnt be so confident if I were you.

Personally, I think Real will beat Arsenal.

their stars weren't rested, i watched the match. stars being rested is when your best players don't play, like what arsenal do in the league cup (usually). we have been poor lately, mainly due to the fact that have two available defenders in the entire squad, and they aren't even first team. by the time we play madrid we will have a defence, and that alone may give us a bit of confidence. you think they'll beat us? did you think liverpool would come back in the final? or chelsea get hammered by middlesboro?....

Please learn the English language - you're vocabulary and grammar is awful. Muppet.

Well, there are two problems with this sentence.
1. As pointed out, it's your (possessive) not you're (you are).
2. Since you're (you are) referring to both vocabulary and grammar, your (possessive) use of the singular form of the verb, to be, is wrong.

Therefore, your (possessive) sentence should be, "Please learn the English language - your vocabulary and grammar are awful."

You are welcome, no need to thank me.

Just read this article, where Lehmann speaks out about the referee's camaraderie with Kevin Nolan. The article got me thinking about whether Arsenal's lack of a predominant English influence on the field causes English referees to be biased towards them, and rather support the cause of the relatively more English team. Kindly read and tell me what u think:

i dont think its just the defense, yes thats a big part, IMO the "older" players dont seem to be stepping up, how can a team go (overnight) from being invincible to struggling to make 4th place...

its yet another attempt to deflect away from the problems that arsenal are having....

apparently on saturday the highbury supporters let the team know how they felt, yet the club want to blame everyone else...

LOL...I hear her on MOTD all the time. I remember reading that she has a season ticket right next to the microphone. It'll be interesting to see her interviewed one day - the most famous scream in Highbury

I wonder whether she will get a similar place in the new stadium?

for the first time this season i think they did. gilberto scored the goal, pires played well, still not too sure about freddie although a goal tomorrow night or next tuesday would sort that out.

its all about confidence or a lack of it. having excuses like no defence can get into the players minds and maybe having our defence back might get them thinking we can win again.

i reckon the draw against bolton might give them a bit of confidence, we ended a run of defeats against them and proved we can grind out results. a draw in our current situation and against our bogey team is a good result.

Sorry need to put you straight, we were not booing the team we were booing the ref who was giving quite possibly the worst perfomance since Graham Poll (is a fucking arsehole) against the mickeys in 2001 at Highbury.

Its got nothing to do with who said what, I am just sticking up for our manager. Just like you would do if I called Ferguson a "purple nosed pissed up bully, and wife beater who shags his own kids and Gary Neville".

but the ref didnt do bolton any favours, flamini and jens should have been sent off...

What?! i would never bloody insult you if you called the united manager whatever. I would just laugh it off and probably say your manager is no better. You think arsene wenger is gonnna offer you a date for sticking up for him on a forum? or do you think your gonna get a medal?

At what point did I insult you?

Anyway back to more important matters, whats gonna happen tonight? I will be honest and say I would take a draw if you offered it to me now!

Definately take a draw against Liverpool. Because our away form as we all know, is diabolical!

I have this feeling that Robbie Fowler will Score a Hatrick against us, He likes doing that against us when he plays for Liverpool. Hopefully Titi can get 4 goals so we can get over this threat.

Bergkamp, Reyes and Van Persie don't look like they will be fit either for this game - so our attacking options are limited!

Also I just want to point out (to all the plonkers who violate this forum) the reason we are not doing so well this season, is due to the fact we have/had no defence for a large part of it. When we get our full defence together - we will see how shit we are then!

You mark my words with a big fat red Bingo Pen thingy - we will be back, maybe not tonight, maybe not next week - but soon we will be back to put right the huge wrongness (if thats a word?).

Calling somone a muppet lacking intelligence isnt a insult no?

What a joke. Alucard made a perfectly good point but everyone here ignores it and changes the subject.

The arsenal fans aswell as the team in real life like to deflect away from the bad performances on the pitch and make up other issues that are irrelevent.

Just like to say before you had all those injuries in defense, arsenal were still struggling, so that excuse doesnt wash with me. It wasnt long ago lauren and campbell were in the team and arsenal were still playing quite bad and losing matches. Its turning into a Grahem Souness spectacle here. No one mentionss the problems on the pitch which is clearly evident. But rather blame referees and injuries all taking toll and opposition's rough tactics etc. United still beat chelsea earlier in the season with a number of key injuries,so its not always the reason for bad performances.

 Fair enough mate, if I hurt you I am sorry.

This has gone too far and needs to stop. I took exception to fact you called someone a child raper, now thats a REAL insult!

You Utd boys just try to wind us up about our current situation, we know we have problems, we don't need you to remind us! For me, our current problems are down to that fact that we are putting a lot of faith in youngsters who at the moment are collectively not good enough. However, if they develop like we all hope they do then will be back to the level where we were 2 years ago or even better. Can Wenger do it again? This is the big question.

We were indeed struggling before, but having all of our first choice defence and most of our backup not being able to play, is more than a few key injuries!!

I don't blame referees, injustice happens to many teams. I also don't blame teams for kicking us about - it is the Premiership afterall. We need some players with muscle to help us fight, I have said that all along.

I agree that even with our full strength team we have not the squad of players we used to have - but if we had our full strength or near enough for the whole of the season- we would be much higher in the league. But ifs and buts are irrelevant, what has happened has happened and we can only get better (Hopefully)

It just annoys me (rightly so) when people seem to say 'what has happened to Arsenal?' when it is blatantly obvious that a major factor has been our defensive crisis.

Lets see when we get our defence up and running again - if we are still shit, then take the piss - we will deserve it then.

not having strength in depth has cost us, but if we had a solid defence to back up the weak midfield we currently have we could have strung a few more victories together. diaby may well play a big part in the remainder of the season and an even bigger part next season.

i would take a draw but it would be nice to see us go for it, show that we still have the confidence, i remember only last season we were going there as favourites.

I remember they highlighted this on MOTD once, I thought she was a one-off but my good someone needs to tape this woman's mouth shut.
