Arsenal Thread

Im watching this game and thinking where the hell is Arsenals width. Hleb and Rosicky dont seem to be out and out wingers they are nothing compared to yester-years Pires and Ljungberg the full backs seem to be doing a decentish job. To be fair you lot have been pretty unlucky in this game with the offside and the headers that hit the post/bar

I know where Baptista is coming from as he is a very good player, but his words are a little harsh tbh.
Yes it's a different game, but just cos you cannot adapt, you shouldn't criticise.

Also David Dein leaving Arsenal is one of the best things to have happened to english football.
Let's see if Arsene Wenger gets let off with any more 'warnings' again and again and again....

(btw... Scum = Spurs ;) )

I like how he mentioned he keeps getting pushed over. And this is coming from the so called 'BEAST'.

"I like to do bicycle kicks"......:lmao: :lmao:

looks like jens is staying.

Do you think its a good or bad thing?

His displays lately are a bit suspect. But I think he will be back to normal. It might have just been because his future was in doubt that he played a bit funny!

Or would you like to see somebody else come in?

Jens is a great keeper in my opinion, made some big saves so far in his career at Arsenal.

I think he is great - a bit unpredictable at times, but he is a character and I'm glad we have had him at Arsenal.

Who would have known what would have happened in the Champ league final if he didn't get sent off? but it is what it is and I am glad he is at Arsenal.

Interesting, reports said gallas his on his way to Madrid or Milan ac after a bust up with one of his young team mate

1 point behind Liverpool - nice one.

If we get above Liverpool I get 50 pounds off my mate - if we don't I owe him 50. So I need us to finish on a high. Hopefully beating Chelsea next week.

hope you win it bbbybx. Scousers in 4th would suit me

Cheers, Hopefully Liverpool will be concentrating too much on the Champions league.

But we have two very tricky games - with Chelsea at home and Portsmouth Away.

I really can't afford to lose £50 as I am trying to buy a flat and every penny counts!

Come on Arsenal!!

 @ the bet, my dad always had a similar bet with a leeds utd mate of his, cant anymore though ;)

Think you might nick 3rd actually, if liverpool manage to get through they will be resting again and they dont even need to win anymore as CL is guarenteed and if they lose their heads could drop and not be bothered at all about the league. Either way i cant see them doing much in the league anymore.

I told my Liverpool mate to bet a grand on Wimbledon beating Liverpool in the cup final. It was 4 to 1 and he was going to do it, but he bottled it at the last minute.

I have a similar bet with my mate, only £10 though!

I think I will be doing a smaller bet next time. We did the bet last season aswell and I had to pay out.

But this season he owes me £10, as we had a fiver on each of the two cup games we knocked them out of :-)

So I will owe him £40 if we don't get 3rd.

Think I might actually stop betting all together. I used to put a tenner on every week. But have stopped to save for a Flat. I am quite suprised how easy it was to stop - I thought I might be addicted :-0

Anyway I'm just happy Arsenal can challenge in the champions league next season - worth £40 anyway.

I thought I might be a dick ted.

That is quite funny :-)

No offence has been taken and the joke is noted, to be used against another.

I wonder when somebody will talk about Addiction? I will have to keep it at the forefront of my mind so I can reply instantly and wittily. Even if it takes years for this subject to come up - I will be ready to pounce!!

I will claim that I made it up and people will say I am the Wittiest man alive. The Girls will love me and the Guys will envy me!

if arsenal put half of their chances away produced game after game on weekend you will beat them

I waited 24 years for you to mention addiction. Not sure it was worth the wait though

That must have been eating you up inside! I'm glad you were able to release the joke on me - I feel honoured. Like drinking a rare wine left to mature for 24 years - then savouring its sweet nectar.

I'm not a wine drinker - more of a John Smiths Man, but you get my point.
