Arsenal Thread

I reckon he is worth more than £20m mate. He only ever needs that magic moment in a game to change it.

All right, I just want to say something about Arsene Wenger. He really sucks when he loses. PSV did a really good job, they make use of Arsenals weaknesses and neutralized Arsenals qualities. PSV didn't let the backs come forward, the attackers (Koné and Tardelli) where holding them back. The central defenders got space and they didn't know what to do with that because they always get a striker or two in front of them, so PSV did a fantastic job. And when Wenger says that PSV played too defensive, wtf.. first of all PSV just neutralized Arsenal with maybe not good play, but defensively you have to be strong against Arsenal and PSV was. Second, Holland and England are completely other worlds when you look at football. In England the quality is much better, better football, more money. Just have a look at Arsenals money and PSV's money. Look at Arsenals bench and PSV's bench. There's a huge difference between those things. Can you expect PSV to just rush forwards like real dogs, against Arsenal, the team that is very dangerous with every counter chance they get. No, you can't. PSV just did a fantastic job and Wenger should see the fucking difference between PSV and Arsenal, between the two competitions the teams are playing in and in the money. Nothing bad play, just smart play. Wenger must be a good loser and just accept that PSV did a fantastic job against Arsenal.

WOW! TONY BLAIR is a brilliant man...what will happen when he`s gone or leaves office. PSV did what they had to do fairplay

I agree but my point is there were no bombs in Iraq. Just admit when you made a mistake. ;)

I'm looking forward to the final on sunday and will be as neutral as possible (c'mon arsenal!!!)

I dont buy into wengers(and the press) hype about arsenals carling cup team, yeah they have done well by getting to the final, cant deny that, but arsenals league position speaks volumes for where arsenal are at the mo (well my humble opinion anyway). I think as much as wenger would like to emulate fergies team of youngsters (well he talks about it enough) he aiong way off...

Anywayz i'm going for 2-1 to wengers kids (lol no pun)

Good to see wenger and "the special one" at it again, this time tho I think moanrinho has got him, wenger has lost three european finals, won only three league titles and a few fa cups, no one is allowed to forget moanrinhos achievments but you cant deny his success and with a relativley small club like porto.

what do you gooners think of this??

Yup. Long Live Dave Chappelle!

On tomorrow Carling Cup Final, i'm thinking the following:

_____________almunia

Hoyte....Toure....Senderos....Traore
-----------Denilson
--------------------Gilberto---------
Hleb----------------------Rosicky----
-------Aliadiere-------------------
-----------------Baptista-----------

Seems right?

^^^^^^^
Half of this line-up r not from tha first teams players.. i dont manage to understand why cup games get played with tha back up players.. but this is tha final.. so i think things should change and not give tha backups this trust for a match like this with Chelsea.

Its only fair since they worked hard to get to the final ...that`s how they grow .ManUtd did the same too last season (ruud exiting)

"Arsene Wenger will continue with his strategy of wrapping Theo Walcott in cotton wool," from SkySports.

Do you think Sol Campbell taught him that one?

definately offside

shame, shouldve left it at 1-0 and let Walcott have his day, brilliant finish from someone I think has gotten worse since he started properly playing for Arsenal

sendoros did his job in the end.

at the end of the day, we cant realistically expect arsenals reserves to beat a chelsea first team.

lads, just look to the future. this is definately promising.

It was an embarrassment at times for the celery rent-boys, they couldn't get near you in the first half. I like how Cesc roughed up the fat bastard near the end, he had to get his teammates to help him the stupid chav twat. The youngsters did themselves proud playing against literally a first team squad, full credit gooners better luck next time.

Youngsters continue to surprise me. I really didnt expect to outplay chelsea, but i always knew that chelsea would grind it out.

Agree its a shame about the reds, and it was all out of nothing, just a shirt pull.

Unlucky Goons, the youngsters were impressive but I do think Wenger should have played his full-strength team as it was a CUP FINAL and he is paid to win trophies.

but what about the players who got them to the finals in the first place? i myself would be pretty pissed of if my manager told me to stay on home in a cup final in which i helped got my team in

The starting team should have had more strength and someone else instead of either Aliadiere or Baptista.
Amazing performance though. A performance like would be considered great but to do it against a strong Chelsea side deserves a standing ovation for all the young kids involved.
