It was a great final - I enjoyed it. would have been great to win. as I think our team deserved it after the opposition we got through to get to the final etc.

I know it sounds immature but the fight was good fun aswell - it proved the passion was there and it might make a few people stand up and notice the league cup.

Im proud of the Arsenal team yesterday.
 
was proper gutted for your lot on sunday, watching chelsea get outplayed (by what would have been the youngest team to ever lift the trophy) was a pleasure....

In all fairness Reading are proving what a fantastic job Stevie Coppell has done there.

we scored all 3 goals it was a one sided match tbh. The reason why it`s quiet in here is the injury list and the future is with one eye open (walcott and the beast)up front

What a pile of stinking shit and what a shit season... 3 matches, and out of 3 cups.

I'm fucking gutted, and when will Wenger learn that he needs to buy a CB of some commanding stature.

PSV did fuck all for the two games but defend, one long shot, and one freekick from Hleb the idiot.

Alex was immense, we were firing blanks. Had Fabregas' shot gone in, then i'd be singing praises, but at this time, i'm looking down in disgust and a season of so much promise, but so much pain.

I guess Mourinho said it all the other night. All the fancy football is nice to watch, but you need to win to go forward.

Simply not good enough.

I agree with you though, WAY too much flare and no guts. It's nights like this that you remember how important players like Adams, Keown, Vieira and even Parlour were. You really do need some muscle in the squad.

It's not fair, just not fair arsenal was better but in the end it's all about luck, they didn't have it tonight. Blame someone else but not hleb, he was outstanding.

Where are you now Van Persie?:) just when we need you, and Eboue & fully fit Henry, well we have something to hope for next year with those players playing and Denilson being an excellent young prospect.

Yeah I also edited, didn't mean that too, but it's just wrong to blame hleb, he really played good, and did a small foul. Denilson screwed up a penalty almost, but luckily judge let it go on.. and I don't blame him, people make mistakes it is what it is..

Let's hope for better CL performance next year :8):

see I kind of disagree. The last couple United games have been really painful, cause we've stopped the fluid, beautiful football that we'd gotten used to this season. In the end it should be about entertainment, and Arsenal are damn good value for money!

I know what you mean, after all it's a game, and i didn't start to support arsenal cause they won some game, everyone can win or lose as put it in this context but I started to watch them cause of the beautiful game they play, and that's something different than watching boring games that ex.juve plays 1-0, btw I didn't watch juve-milan cl final few years ago cause I knew it's gonna be boring and I was right, they went into overtime, what a joy :) :applause:

Did u ever stop to think PSV might be a reasonable team? Its evident why Arsenal lost, simply due to their arrogance..

Beauty has many forms, and seeying a small team like PSV staying pyhsically and mentally organized in Emirates vs Arsenal deserves at least some praise.

Just remember, its easy to play flair football -and god knows i love watching Arsenal- with the budget of an English top team.
But its also good to see a small team believing in their own strenght. Difference is what makes football interesting. For me this was a better match then both Barcelona - Liverpool.

And dont say this is "modern football" and everything is going to shit. Italy and Germany have been playing like this for ages. They represent the forces of destruction, but without those teams beauty wouldnt really shine either. These teams form the challenge for the creative minded, and Arsenal just have to grow as a team to meet that challenge. Its all about ying yang boys. And at this moment one side of that coin is simply better at what they do.
 
Reasonable team? Of course they're a resonable team. You don't win a league 5/7 years by chance.

I saw one man in PSV yesterday, and that was Alex. Marshalled the defence well.

Kudos to PSV, we played the same tactic on numerous occassions last season, but Alex just had that desire, and that guy must have flubber in his shoes as i've never seen no one jump so high!

on another note, i won't be posting in this thread no more. Thanks for the memories.
