Oh dear . . .
Did u ever stop to think PSV might be a reasonable team? Its evident why Arsenal lost, simply due to their arrogance..
Beauty has many forms, and seeying a small team like PSV staying pyhsically and mentally organized in Emirates vs Arsenal deserves at least some praise.
Just remember, its easy to play flair football -and god knows i love watching Arsenal- with the budget of an English top team.
But its also good to see a small team believing in their own strenght. Difference is what makes football interesting. For me this was a better match then both Barcelona - Liverpool.
And dont say this is "modern football" and everything is going to shit. Italy and Germany have been playing like this for ages. They represent the forces of destruction, but without those teams beauty wouldnt really shine either. These teams form the challenge for the creative minded, and Arsenal just have to grow as a team to meet that challenge. Its all about ying yang boys. And at this moment one side of that coin is simply better at what they do.
PSV did fuck all for the two games but defend, one long shot, and one freekick from Hleb the idiot.
All right, I just want to say something about Arsene Wenger. He really sucks when he loses. PSV did a really good job, they make use of Arsenals weaknesses and neutralized Arsenals qualities. PSV didn't let the backs come forward, the attackers (Koné and Tardelli) where holding them back. The central defenders got space and they didn't know what to do with that because they always get a striker or two in front of them, so PSV did a fantastic job. And when Wenger says that PSV played too defensive, wtf.. first of all PSV just neutralized Arsenal with maybe not good play, but defensively you have to be strong against Arsenal and PSV was. Second, Holland and England are completely other worlds when you look at football. In England the quality is much better, better football, more money. Just have a look at Arsenals money and PSV's money. Look at Arsenals bench and PSV's bench. There's a huge difference between those things. Can you expect PSV to just rush forwards like real dogs, against Arsenal, the team that is very dangerous with every counter chance they get. No, you can't. PSV just did a fantastic job and Wenger should see the fucking difference between PSV and Arsenal, between the two competitions the teams are playing in and in the money. Nothing bad play, just smart play. Wenger must be a good loser and just accept that PSV did a fantastic job against Arsenal.
fook off thats lame
The headline reads Wenger's young thoroughbreds will outrun United in the long term, but just how long is the long term ?
Its great that you have a lot of young players but what team hasnt ?. I dont think you lot won anything last season and you definatly cant this season. I think think Wenger should start looking at the present and not the future...
Lets just take a look at what you like to call "the best bunch of kids in europe".
First of all, your keeper is 35 (Almunia). He alone brings up the average age by quite a bit. Other than Lehmann, the only other keeper you have is Poom (who you never use) and he's 29.
We on the other hand have Kuszczak who's 24, Heaton who's 20 and Ben Foster (on loan) who's 23. Kuszczak and Foster have shown how good they already are and have atleast another 10 years ahead of them. Cant say much about your goalkeeper situation.
Now looking at your young defence, the ones that are used the most were Hoyte who's 22, Toure who's 25, Senderos who's 22, Clichy who's 21 and Eboue who's 23.
We have O'Shea, Evra and Vidic who are all 25, along with Pique who's 20 and Bardsley who's 21. The age difference here is very small and our players also regularly play in the first time.
Up front and in midfield, you have players who are somewhere between 22 and 25 with a couple of 19 year olds. We on the other hand have 23 to 26 year olds with Rooney and Ronaldo at 21 and 22.
From the looks of it, your young players are only about 2 years behind our team. If you statement is true, your "kids" should be better than most of our first team in a couple of years time. I guess it still remains to be seen but other than Fabregas, I dont see any young player who's in the same league as Rooney and Ronaldo.
You've had players like this before though and they don't always make it. Owusu looked like he was going to be fantastic but where is he now?
owusu diddnt look that fantastic though. players like denilson, trohae an djourou are players who will eventualy become world class players.
