Arsenal Thread

Gonna be a tough game tonight..

Denilson has travelled with the Arsenal squad for the UEFA Champions League tie with CSKA Moscow.

The Brazil Under-19 captain has yet to make a senior appearance since arriving from Sao Paulo prior to August's transfer deadline.

He has featured for the reserves, but has now been drafted into the first-team squad by Arsene Wenger for Tuesday's European game in Russia.

The midfielder will be on the bench for the match, with Wenger outlining the teenager's qualities.

"He is a good all-round player and has good technique," said Wenger.

"He is not fazed, the boy has a good first touch, and fantastic stamina - he can run all day.
"He defends well, is a good passer of the ball and has good technique. - but he does not have the final ball like Cesc Fabregas.

"At the moment he is a bit unsettled because it is the first time he has left his country; he is still in a hotel, so he is a strong character.

"He can play already and we will see him certainly [in the Carling Cup] at West Bromwich Albion.

"And if he is needed [tomorrow], he can come on."

The Gunners have headed to Moscow without Freddie Ljungberg, Emmanuel Eboue, Julio Baptista, Philippe Senderos, Lauren and Abou Diaby.

The real test for Denilson.

Denilson has travelled with the Arsene Wenger to his hotel before the squad meets up for the UEFA Champions League tie with CSKA Moscow.

The Brazil Under-19 captain has yet to make a senior appearance since arriving from Sao Paulo prior to Wenger wanting to test him out for himself before the deadline.

He has featured for the reserves, but has now been drafted into Arsene Wenger's hotel room for some close one on one man management before Tuesday's European game in Russia.

The midfielder will be on the bench for the match, with Wenger outlining the teenager's in bed qualities.

" Err he is a good all-round lover and has er good technique," said Wenger.

"He is not fazed by me coming on to him, the boy has a good sensual touch, and fantastic stamina - he doesn't stop.
"He bums well, is a good sucker on my balls and has ze good technique. - but he does not have the final money shot like Cesc Fabregas.

"At the moment he is a bit unsettled because it is the first time he has seen me naked; he is still in my hotel bed, but he is a strong big boy.

"He can do it with me anywhere already and I will see him certainly [after the Carling Cup] at West Bromwich Albion.

"And if he is needed [tomorrow], I will let him come on me anytime."

Someone tell me why the HELL Henrys goal was not given!

plus how many times did G.Silva and Hleb give the ball away. And whats the point of giving Walcott 10mins of play in a game like that, he didn't get enough of the ball.

We didn't deserve to lose despite not playing great and i thought Kolo Toure was our best defender and attacker.

Watched the match - definitely a goal by Henry, but from the angle the ref had you can kind of see why he got it wrong. Similar in sorts to Scholes' non-penalty in the United match, easy to see from different angles. The yellow card on the other hand is a joke. That ref is terrible.

Other than that, Moscows a nasty place to play for any team, you guys should still be fine to qualify. Have you already played in Portugal?

Hello again everyone!

No Porto away is to come, Moscow and Hamburg at home. We should have no problems.

We played shit last night but a goal is a goal and we scored one!

Oh and Alucard, that post was very provocative for a 11-year-old, get back to your maths homework and stop flaming.

Well I must be a very intelligent advanced 11 year old then, since Im the only one to have seen through what Wenger really meant in that interview.

As for the usaul excuses when arsenal lose, the ref, the pitch, linesman, fans, children. It gets boring after a while. Here is vintage Whinger complaining about the ref not seeing things. The pot calling the kettle black comes to mind.

Whinger said: "The referee has not seen anything, I felt it was a goal. We have to accept sometimes that referees give goals because they do not see things.

"Now we have something new - they cancel goals because they saw things which did not exist. That's a problem."

Uefa has to look into the state of the pitch because it is not acceptable

Who do you mean by who is lying? If you mean wenger, then maybe he is telling the truth about referees making errors and maybe the goal should have stood. But he should consider arsenal got outplayed and were lucky not to concede more from CSKA. Its too easy for managers to criticise referees when results dont go their teams way instead of being a man about it and admitting their own team wasnt good enough on the night and giving praise where praise is due. Someone should advise Whinger not to let his captain come out in public make even more a fool of himself by bitterly critising the ref(moureen style)while talking about his dirty laundry like the drama queen spoilt brat, bad loser of a va va voom merchant he is. Just goes to show, Arsenal-like their london counterparts chelsea- are still a team yet to learn about class and dignity.

Man U have class and dignity. In interviews SAF and his players are never sore losers, neither do they moan about pettiness. Its only in the past when we have encountered Arsenal that we have been brought down to their level when we have been provocked. If one of our players dive, SAF will tell them to stop, like what he did with Ronaldo. He doesnt encourage them and pat them on the back when they dive like some managers. I remember when we won the title 3seasons ago doing a great come back to overhaul arsenal to the top spot and Arsene Wenger with his cuntishness didnt congratulate United because he felt we didnt deserve it. That is soreness to its ultimate limits. Considering when Chelsea won the prem we showed class and respect by congratulating them as champions. So in short yes United are exempt from my list.

You are so stupid f**ks, I wouldn't beleive it. What f**king Henry control a ball with chest, you are stupid f**ks, he said himself on the Sky it was his stomach.

BY THE WAY FIFA HATE YOU SO CHELSEA ARE. AND PLEASE CONGRATULATE US CHELSEA HAVE A REPRESANTIVE IN DISCIPLINARY COMMETY OF FA NOW. JUST WAIT A NEWS FOR ARSENAL ON DOMESTIC FRONT.

ONE THING TERRY HENRY WAS RIGHT OF ARSENAL a small club.

HA HA HA F**KING LOSSERS, CAN TAKE YOUR MIDFILDER FROM READING BACK WE WILL GET KICKED FOOT IN MOUTH IF HE APPEARED IN PRAGUE OR RUSSIAN FEDERATION ))))))))

STUPID F**KS YOU ARE, ARSENAL IS F**KING SHIT REMEMBER THAT

Sergei Dobriak

Its gonna be a hard game tomorrow, but we need three points since either Man U or Liverpool or both will drop points.

Hopefully Pompey will do us a favour too.

Spanked 'em good and proper. Love it, my cousins are Reading fans and this should shut them up for a while :mryellow:

The midfield is starting to link really well. I think Hleb benefits from Rosicky being in the side. The two of them look like potent options on each wing and seem to feed well off each other as we saw for the second goal. Fabregas is starting to run the show. This could really be the season where he stamps his authority as one of the most influential playmakers in Europe.

Well arsenal scored early and then reading had to come forward more after that,so left more space for arsenal to exploit. I'm sure if United got a early goal against reading, it would have been the same outcome if not worse.Referees not giving dodgy penalties against us would have helped too.
