Arsenal Thread

yeah, i've noticed it of late. I been to all the home games except Porto and noticed that when Rosicky started to play we begun shooting more. Not so in the first couple of games.

as for Rui Fonte the future looks bright with Bendtner, Lupoli banging in goals too.

Publishing News Of The Day
As of this Monday morning, just 5,000 copies of Ashley Cole's biography have been sold. If his agent Jonathan Barnett hyperventilated at the news that Arsenal were only willing to pay his client £55,000-a-week rather than £60k, what will his response be to reminders that Cole was paid £250,000 for his memoirs?

:lmao:

What are all of your thoughts on the prospect of signing Franckenstein Ribery?

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=421022&CPID=24&clid=144&lid=4161&title=L'OM+reveal+Wenger+talks

He seems to have all the ingredients to be a Arsenal player; He is French and good friends with Henry and probably taught him some of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTGfyV_mgUk,Gallas etc from the National team. He looks like something bad happened to him in the past(car crash/mental brain disorder) so he has a reason and excuse to do bad things when he puts on a arsenal shirt. He ocassionally goes down like a ton of pricks.

yeah he was in a car crash as a kid, I wouldn't mind having Ribery, he'll bring more width and he scores a few from midfield.

his also a bit psycho which is handy in the prem

Franckenstein Ribery :D

yeah he is very good player although he didnt do that well in turkey but in world cup he was amazing im not sure of his current situation though but i think good player to have in a team

Frankenstein was actually the doctor/scientist and not an ugly bloke at all, but I suppose 'The monster Ribery' would be a little harsh on the guy. Okay, Frankenstein Ribery it is then!:)

Wow, i'd forgotten what a great dive that was, and Henry was always one of the good guys!

Ribery is a great prospect, I think he'd easily replace ljungberg.

Those were some fine goals. But lets not get carried away. We all remember how Francis Jeffers did the same thing and scored goals for the england U21 team and look where he is now.

I think he`s more grounded then Jeffers .Theo had alot of bad press(WC06)everybody and there mums were saying he`s a mistake to go to the WC even Steven Gerrard said it openly (slap to the face)humble beginnings is a good start .He`s a victim of the press even now he`s a hero ATM since Rooney is in the slums and England is lacking confidence and in dire need of a lift.So Thoe scores and the press is on(victimizing)

Now, my views of Theo is too pre-mature and I hope playing and training w/ the 1st team sows a seed and Arsenal will produce a fine fruit for years to come.I have to admit his goals were a bit of Henry in the way he control the ball in the air...a classic Henry moment

The way he finished the secong goal was amazing and I know the German defence would have been very tired but how quick was Theo! Jesus!

Although the German that wanted his shirt at the end moved pretty quickly towards him!

F**k me he's a little missle! Nice finishing too. Wonder if he would have managed that ahd it not been the 85th minute after having 70 odd mins of 10 men though...?

Screw Jermaine Defoe for the little pacey option, lets get Theo up to the real team (again)!

Everyone now is calling Walcott the new Henry. Imo its a bit ott to jump from calling him a world cup mistake, to the new Henry wonderkid after just few displays for the U21 team.

I'd agree he's up there and for for defensive versality he is the best in the world.

It seems like Clichy and Swiss Tony are only a couple of weeks of conditioing away as well so hopefully out situation will be better in a couple of weeks.

We're looking very good this season. I know it was only Watford but we seem to be back to our best in terms one-touch and the movement. Arsene said this is the best team he has ever had and we are capable of winning the Prem and the CL. I remember him making wild accusations of a similar nature a few years back....

3 points with a game in hand and Man U to play Liverpool who must win.

Good performance yesterday although i thought the team did not pass to Walcott enough, when he had loads of space in the 2nd half.

off to Moscow hopefully with 3 points, though it'll be tough out there.

I'm taking that with a considerable pinch (read: bag) of salt.

That boy changes his mind like his pants. Next week he'll be in love with Man Yoo. Potentially a very good player though, and more to the point he'd be a worthy protege to Freddie.
