I've already spoken about Adebayor so it's only Jens that we need to talk about. I have to say he is without a doubt my favourite ever Arsenal goalkeeper. He made a couple of good stops in the first half, including Ronaldo's rocket which knocked him senseless, but he commanded his area and provided the assurance that any defence needs. Then after we'd gone one up he made one of the best saves I have ever seen from Solskjaer's shot. It came through a sea of legs and was heading for the bottom corner but he got fingertips to it to push it wide when I was just waiting for the net to bulge. A really awesome save, you just had to see Solksjaer's look of disbelief afterwards. He made another good stop from Wes Brown not long afterwards. He's a legend.

I echo this, he is a legend. That save was awesome, Solskjaer thought it was in, Saha jumped up in celebration, the shot had goal written all over it, still not sure how he got to it. Brilliant stuff. That save is up there with the one he made from Raul at Highbury in last years CL. :applause:

Cheers Vsnn.

Is there any annoyance from utd fans at Ronaldo giving the ball away so many times in dangerous areas yesterday? Just wondered cause that would annoy the hell out of me if an Gooner kept doing that.

Yeah ronaldo is frustrating, he seems to have gone back to his old ways of doing too many tricks and overdoing it. No one wants him to cut his tricks out because he is quick and can go past players, but sometimes you have to play simple passes and cross early when in tight situations but ronald doesnt do that. You wonder whether Fergie talks to him atall because he doesnt learn.

What annoyed me yesterday with the commentators was that every time he lost the ball they would say that he is still only 21 and learning. Yeah he is young but he's played in the premiership for about 3 years now and as you said he seems to have gone back to 18 year Ronaldo again. When you compare his development to Cesc's you can see which one has a brain and listens.

I really don't like the bloke but he is a great talent and really needs to work on being less selfish.

That is well Said. He was utter shite yesterday.

Ronaldo is one of my favourite United players funny enough because of his passion and determination after coming through alot of hard things. More so than rooney who acts like a spoilt brat. Ronaldo seems level headed off the pitch but on it he is selfish and needs to work more as a team player like you said and should take a note out of cesc's book as cesc is playing in a more difficult position of the midfield than on the wing and is younger so no excuse.

I hated the Lemon in the beginning when he used to play sweeper and get caught out (v. valencia and Panathainaikos) but he has got to be one of the most improved players from the last 2 seasons.

His save from Raul was just amazing, but when you see his save from yesterday, comng through a sea of legs, it is just outstanding. I was waiting for the net to bulge and cursing Ole, but instead, i saw that water bottle get knocked over by the ball, and the camera pan over to Ole (lipsinc: What the Fuck was that!!)..

Great game, and i think Djourou should get some plaudits too. What a player he will be.

I know that Lemon wants to go back to Germany for one last season, and i just hope Wenger buys a keeper who is as entertaining and brilliant as Jens.

For the note, just caught sky this morning, and felt sorry for Ade when they asked him to present the bottle for man of the match to Fabregas, and he just said thank you, as he thought it was for him! Poor muppet! Bought a smile to my face whilst munching on my Cinnamon Grahams.

Seriously, I'm not just saying that for the sake of it. I thought your younger players handled the game very well without getting caught in the moment. The positive change in attitude has been pretty clear since Vieira left.

From Wenger..

Dear Arsenal supporter,

I was proud of my players on Sunday. A loss at Old Trafford could have been decisive but our 1-0 win against Manchester United reinforces the belief that we are a very strong side.

I never thought our title challenge would have been over if we had lost at the weekend but psychologically it might have been difficult for the players. Now, instead of being 13 points behind United, we are seven behind with a game in hand.

What our victory showed was that the team has great belief. I can keep telling the players they are great but if the words are not backed up by points, it is bound to have a subconscious effect on the players.

I believe they have been very quick to draw their conclusions but, equally, I am not stupid enough to think nothing can happen to us. I have seen very good teams suddenly look average when doubt creeps in.

Given those circumstances, and the authority with which we played, this has to be my best win over United at Old Trafford and one that sends out the right signals to everyone.

The word 'transition' has been used to describe Arsenal recently but I have never believed that we are a team in transition. Yes, we are a young team but I have great belief in these players.

We are a big club, we are very ambitious and I believe we can win the title this season. To read the papers recently you would think we would be in the Championship next season!

Thanks for your support.

 What a sight for sore eyes

It is strange but when it's a necessary movement to take the club forward and play at the top for many years it's a sacrifice worth taking.

Hey mates is henry on for tuesday's match?
I'm looking forward for this match. And we need to win. As long we score our chances, unlike last match, I hoping we will have a win. ;)

^should be a decent game. id fancy us to win though, given our last few performances. but ya never know.. (sporting beating inter, for example.)

looking forward to it anyways. :)

Great to see Arsenal silencing many critics, while there is still some way to go to, we are definitely heading in the right direction. All the talk about Man U's momentum has been temporarily halted with 2 consecutive losses, coinciding with Arsenal's 2 wins!

The midfield is particularly strong, with Fabregas developing into a true champion.

Man Utd drew against Reading, although I suppose it would have felt like a loss. We seem to be playing alright at the moment, we put in a good performance against Utd but I reckon the Sheffield match could have easily turned into one of those games. Luckily for us it ended quite comfortably. We just need to win a few more and get the belief back in the team.

I saw some stats in Friday's Guardian sport which showed how this season compared to last we'd had about 200 more passes, an average of about 15% more possession but three less goals compared to last year. Saturday should have improved that tally somewhat. The team looks to be putting some finishing on the end of all this build up play.
