Do they mean on loan, surely they wouldn't try to buy him?

I'd like to see Bentley moulded in the centre making runs forward and Viera playing the holding role. Sort of like that ginger bloke at United.

If they try to buy, I think the answer will be a stern no from Double-D.

Bentley will take up Pires' role on the left, I imagine, when the great man finally hangs up his boots. I'd like to see him in an Bergkamp-esque role (as I stated above) but Reyes looks destined to have that position.

Guys, who needs youngsters when you have Parlour and Keown in the ranks .

give your midfield 2 years and giggs and keane will be a fair age
they both play small parts for arsenal anyways so i wouldnt say they were there game in game out

I saw a little bit of this guy Oliech on BBC's African Cup of Nations show. He's got good dribbling skills but terrible finishing. He scuffs nearly all of his shots and he's very raw.

I've seen the same, pure strength and pace and some good skills but some of his efforts are below Forlan standard.

Now, Now lets not be too harsh...
hmm youre awfully sympathetic for an arse supporter... you SURE you didnt switch sides after the reyes move?

I was talking about not being harsh on Oliech!!!

Freddie injury news

Crappy news. May give Reyes a position to slot in at right, or Pires might move into the centre alongside Paddy, with Edu slotting in the left and Parlour taking up a position on the right.

Anelka is class, palming Cole's head like that..... Edu should've straight slapped him when he came flying in. ;)

Striking goal from Henry, lets you know the countless dimensions this guy has. Anyone see the goals from Cisse (of Auxerre) lately? This guy has some long strides and a helluva a strike, I hope this guy joins the EPL soon.

Pires on the left side as usual and Edu on the right side.

Don't think so mate, Edu is all left foot. Never ever seen him play on the right.

Pires Vieira Edu Reyes

That should be our midfield now.

I agree whilst we have no Freddie. Edu must be wondering what the hell he has to do to get a start and Reyes will be first 11 by the end of the year.

An extract on Football 365 about how rubbish fans day was

Even throughout 80-odd minutes of medocrity preceeding the Vieira sending-off at United v Arsenal the United faithful kept the atmosphere fiery and above all loud! The Arsenal fans weren't too bad that day, although the monotony of their entire song repertoire (all two of them) quickly got boring (the one that goes "Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal etc" and the stolen "Vieira woah") - I guess there was a lot of room on the Arsenal FC songsheet handed out on Sunday!

So come on Arsenal fans, do your team justice! Surely one of the best (but most indisciplined) teams ever to step foot inside the home dressing room at Highbury (of course United always use the away one) deserves a little more.
Ben Packer, Manchester

Can somebody tell me where the Viera song was stolen from?

That would mean the Pires-Henry partnership will be sacrificed. I don't think AW would take that risk.

I still stand by the prediction that Pires will move inside with Edu on the left, Paddy in the middle and Gilberto on the right. Reyes playing behind Henry (although we might seem him slowly eased into that role with a string of sub apperances, as Wenger mentioned) OR Parlour just taking up the RM position left vacant by Freddie's injury.

I have a feeling Reyes will score today. Let's hope so.

This guys name is Jose Reyes. He looks like a real shaker this guy. i bet he has women hanging off him every night.

Why can't I find any pics of the important Jose Reyes????

Congratulations to Middlesbrough on an excellent victory. I hope you beat Bolton in the final.

Bloody hell it's quiet in this thread now. Where've you all gone? Seville? Hey don't worry am sure they'll accept him back, they love his impulsive finishing and match-turning abilities.

Carsten Jancker's on the transfer list. Just an idea..

Hey, well done to the boro for making it to the final. Obvious boro wanted it more than us and it didnt help with keowns sending off! even tho we actually played better with 10 men. Would rather have Keown making mistakes in the kids cup than an important league/CL game. Obviously wanted to win the game for my old pal Stack, but it was a valuable experience for him making a great save down from maccaroni. overall the younsters did well enough to get us here, shame they couldnt be rewarded with a cup final to their name. But looking at it from the real Arsenal angle, not to bothered, rather this cup went then any of the other big 3. anways should be a good final as both bolton and boro really want to win the cup.

Jose Antonio Reyes capped his full Arsenal debut with a winner in the Carling Cup semi-final. Unfortunately for the Spanish prodigy, it was an own goal to take Middlesbrough through to the final.

Well, he is off to a scoring start . . . .16 million well spent, for the Boro :D
You gotta feel sorry for the boy, how embarassing for both Arsenal and Reyes.

it just goes to show how important having 11 men on the pitch is, EVEN if you were the gooners... i personally didnt watch the match, did it make a difference that you had stack tending the net?
