Well, I was replying to Iceman's veiled suggestion that the FA are victimising Arsenal by playing on a Friday night, by pointing out that Newcastle are actually the ones being treated unfairly.

But to answer your question Zico, you are welcome to top the table from September through to April.......just like last year.
 
Listen im not that worried if Chelsea win the league, as long as the Man U scum don't win it. :mrgreen: Although i would love Arsenal to win it, i really can't see Chelsea fucking up.

They should all get a fine and ban, Wenger should be fined aswell.

Its a shame cos as much as they like to think they play superior football they are the dirtiest team.

Totally agree with the fines. Fine us please. Hopefully it'll keep the Murdoch/Sky/Sun/Times/ManUtd monopoly happy. F*ck the critics, but i do think Arsene should reel em in and give em a good earful.

Can't beleive RVN is not even being bought to the book, but then again, it's not often he booked for anything.

I doubt any of them will be banned (except Vieira), but I think blaming RVN is nonsense. Someone tried to kick him in the nuts, so he jumped out of the way. No one can tell me a professional should just stand their and get whacked.

And if he had, can you imagine the trouble Vieira would be in now?

ONCE AND FOR ALL, i'm not complaining about the kick in the balls (wtf? RVN's balls are in his knees? hehehe), any player who does that should be booked, but surely RVN jumped up as if someone stuck electrodes on his testicles?

But its the provocation with the dig in the back... Can't believe the media is so fcking blind!!! Hence Arsenal players had no problem with any other players... just horse face.

To me, it looked like he was jumping out of the way. It's a natural reaction. If something takes you by surprise, you jump back.

The challenge was worth a booking which is what RVN got, but Vieira retaliated and to be honest, I was surprised it wasn't a straight red.

Look, the referee thing was years ago, and Man U have reined in antics like that since then. Secondly, Keane did not end Haaland's career. His was on the other knee.

Why do you think he didn't sue Keane?

The reason Arsenal will continue to land themselves in hot water is because you (the players, the managers and the fans) will not accept when you are in the wrong. It's always someone elses fault, or someone always did something worse than you. Everyone else in the country is sick and tired of listening to you bleating that you are being conspired against.

You are all mad. The game is over. It was a draw. Whatever happens happens, you can't control it. There is a long season ahead of us and may the best team win. Can't you all just shut up about this?

I know it's old news now (sort of!), but I've had time to read, listen & review everything (including the main incidents several times)...here's my conclusion (for what it's worth!)...

1) Vieira was unlucky to get the first card, he won the ball from the side - I've watched it frame by frame

2) Van Diver jumped into Vieira with his knee and forcefully kicked Vieira's body to the ground...that is a RED card offence

3) Vieira 'lightly' kicked out towards Van Diver, but was clearly not trying to do any damage - and the pinicle being the fact his foot missed Van Diver by a good metre

4) Van Diver jumped out of the way true, but the distance meant such action was NEVER neccesary AND THEN turned to the ref and complained - knowing Vieira WOULD be sent off

5) It was never a penalty, Keowns hand was on the small of the back - but I have to say it was VERY harsh in the 91st min - so justice was done

With such a charged (and dramatic) end to the game (and least we forget these games are always bad tempered - and the ref DID NOT help the situation) the players behaviour (to quote the commentator) "could be understood" - yes that's right, that's what he said. Even I was shouting at the screen - and I was watching at home alone, god know's what the atmosphere was like at the ground - let alone on the pitch where the Manure fans had been slagging the AFC players all game.

As a result...

I feel the VD should be spoken too about his 'sporting' behaviour, Keown should have a 3 match ban and ALL other players involved should have a 'suspended sentence. Arsenal should be also be fined.

I'd like to add that altho our yellow & red card count is high under Wenger, I will point out the FACT that MORE cards have been given out to our opposition...meaning in our games we are better behaved than our opponents.

So its been fine for Zico and Noted to post "BEATTIE 90" for 3 weeks, yet when discussing (granted, flaming sometimes, but you've gotta let that go, look at some of the detail in the posts, they're hardly mindless flames) the biggest incident of the season so far, we get singled out?
