Ehhhhhhhhhh what about when Man Utd players sorounded the ref against Boro and fuck all happened there. Please take your Man U glasses off Dazza.

Yeah, lets bring up an incident from 3 or 4 years ago when half of the United players involved arent even here anymore.

But it happened and fuck all got done about it.

F*cking appalling behaviour from Arsenal. I will lose respect for any member on this board that blindly backs Arsenal after this showing. there is absolutely no possible way anyone can justify what happened after the whistle.

I would be the first to admit if Ruud had done a single thing wrong but this time he is completely in the clear. If you want to see what a cheat would have done in that situation you only have to look at someone like Rivaldo who would have dropped to the floor covering his face with both hands (f*ck, he even did that when someone kicked the ball tamely at his shin at the WC last year).

Vieira lost it. He couldn't take the pressure, like so many times before in his career. I knew Ruud was going to miss the penalty, it would have taken an extremely gifted and focused player to score when faced with such provocation and knowing he had missed his previous 2 pens.

I just hope Keown (ugly, ugly, evil c*nt that he is), Toure and Lauren get seriously punished for this. You simply cannot have behaviour like that from so-called professional players.

One thing I will add, the joy and relief on the arsenal players faces and the fact they had played like Wolves all game, desperate for a point, shows that they are half the team they were a couple seasons ago.

Arsene Wenger should be disgusted with himself for trying to divert the blame onto Ruud.

i 'aint' a 'manc' but nevermind iceman. i dont support united either btw. since when has it been neccesary to apply academic judgements on spelling and sentance structure to an internent message board as well  save it for the essays mate

the game today proved what everyone knew already. arsenal are a bunch of babies that throw their rattle out the pram everytime something doesnt go their way. come on, which other club cries conspiracy when they get a player sent off for trying to kick someone or trying to elbow someone, no other club i tell thee. it was a blatant pen as well so god knows why the arsenal players were acting like that anyway. as pointed out by one of the sky boys man u sorted out their act but regardless no other club think they should go round acting like that due to uniteds or anyone elses disciplinary problems.

But the point is RVN does stuff like that in virtually every game, diving complaining and virtually telling the ref what to do. You even have a subtle acknowledgement to this when you say "this time he is completely clear" implying that he often errs. Hes as much of a cheat as Rivaldo. What Keown et al did was wrong, but I would be telling a lie if I said I felt sorry for Van Nistleroy, it would be much more disgraceful had it happend to say Fortune or O'Shea, who are, by and large honest players, something Van Nistleroy certainly is not.

I couldn't agree more with the above statement. During last season, i wished we had the Ferdinand, Silvestre, Brown defensive line. Along with O'Shea who has better feet than the Romford Pele, i was thinking this is the one thing that Arsenal were missing in a long time. Sure enough i'm a gooner for life, but even i am not that naive to think we have a case for "defence" in the Champ League.

However, even knowing how volatile a player like Vieira is, surely is was a sickening ploy by RVN to jump up with knee in back and then have a slight dig. I mean everyone saw it!! Even the Sky studio's crew. However, all respect to that c*nt of a referee, he was behind RVN when the contact occured and seen the contact, but judged there to be sufficient reason to believe so due to the amateur dramatics of a certain glassed ankled Dutch striker.

If per chance say Bergkamp had done the exact same thing to Roy Keane, then what would the critics say? After Pires diving.. More Arsenal cheating? Now Pires is a class player, and i don't condone his diving. I mean he did get caught in Valencia a couple of years ago (yellow card.. u naughty boy!!! :D), but i agree that week in week out, RVN goes on his merry go round to try to antagonise defenders - both physically and mentally.

I remember the melee that occured when the Man Utd players ran after Steffan Freud a couple of seasons ago. As an Arsenal fan, i was putting money on who would catch him first, but nothing happened prior to the game in terms of fines etc.. oh no! The blatant premeditated attack on Haaland by Keane "take that you C*nt!"... all because Keane tried to foul him when Haaland was at Leeds and ended up spiking turf which led to ripped cruciates. For a club to condone these acts as heat of the matter and then to try to point out another teams failings is hypocrisy of the nth degree.

I don't condone what our players did at the end of the match, but you got to hand it to Wenger to notice the RVN factor. I think Wenger should go and talk to his players about trying to be calmer in the face of animosity. But the kind of pressure they were under to force a result after the Inter game, you could only justify that it was a fuse needing a match, and that was RVN!!

p.s. i wish Keown had a gun.. blam blam.

i'd always support the bad boys over the "protected" boys anyday. It only deepens my hate for an already loveless club....

I don,t see how anyone can defend the actions of the Arsenal players at full-time! YES RVN isn't always the perfect gentleman but the Arsenal players went over the top. Im not for deducting points or anything like that but i believe Arsenal should be fined heavily for the antics of their players.

I've got to say cfdh_edmundo and Iceman_Bergkamp are making some great points while Milo is speaking utter shite. Milo your not welcomed in this thread so please do everyone a favour and just Fuck Off.

I'm speaking utter shite? So I take it you think every commentator working for Sky and every single journalist working this country is also wrong?

Dear me you are dumb aren't you?

C'mon Keane ended that young man Haaland's carear and fuck all got done about it, so how can Arsenal players get punished for tapping RVN?

Milo your looking like a real plonker.

The difference is I don't condone Keanes actions. He should have been heavily punished for it. He wasn't. I'm sorry about that Zico, I really am.

That was also during the match. Keane was red carded. What did he miss...3 games? I hope at the very least the assaulting Arsenal players get a similar ban. If the Arsenal players had a problem they should have continued it down the tunnel.

You're sounding like a complete child, Zico. You're a f*cking drone, mate.

Just some news from Man Utd, i mean the FA...

22 September 2003
Report received - 'urgently' considered

Manchester United v Arsenal - 21 September 2003

Following yesterday's Premier League fixture between Manchester United and Arsenal, The FA can confirm that it has received the match report from Referee Steve Bennett and also that it has received video tapes of the match.

As a result, The FA will now review the video tapes in detail and as a matter of urgency. The FA has also requested further videos of the various incidents from different camera angles.

The FA will be looking at various aspects of player behaviour during the match and in the scenes following the final whistle and will make a further statement as soon as this process is complete.

Looks like they are going to make an example of us. That must have been the fastest written report ever. Half a side of A4? W*nkers! :x

No dought all the Arsenal players involved will get 3 match bans, while Giggs, Fortune and Van Fuckedkness will get off with it.

As far as im aware the FA have not made a decision so i don't get all the animosoty from both sets of fans, until the FA do something about it then the result of yesterdays match is that Arsenal got a well deserved point and they should be over the moon with that.

I'm sorry but how can you make a case for defending that, i know your only backing your team lads, but for wenger and viera to have the cheek to publicly call RVN a cheat is just plain ludicrous, the same manager who defended pires for his olympic winning swan dives........your just making a fool of your selves and english football.

it wasn't a swan dive... it was a half pike ;)

Shut up Zico.
So you're telling me that they don't deserve fines? FFS, look in the Mirror today, there is a picture of Lauren with a hold of Phil Nevilles throat and Cole shouting some shit at him. What did Giggs do? What did Fortune do?
Van Fuckedknees? Well, if Vieiras kick had hit him then "fuckedknees" may well have been a perfect statement. Zico, you do realise that apart from you narrow minded "football fans"everyone else is against Arsenal?
Now, I expect you to come up with all this "United have done this and that in the past". Well yes, we have. We've been in the wrong on several occassions in the past. Like Milo said, when Keane took out Haaland, most of us (including me) thought it was a fucking disgrace and damned well said so. Why cant you just accept that you're team are in the wrong? God, you laughed off Pires blatant dive last week when the rest of the UK knew he blatantly cheated. Just admit that what your players did was wrong and that they deserve everything that comes their way.

hutch that post just went through one eye and out the other.

I really love these intense football discussions you make Zico. You really put your point of view across and make one hell of an argument. Well Done!

I think it's time for you to leave hutch as we would like to discuss the match thats coming up against Newcastle on Friday, so please leave the building.

Good lad Zico, so to clarify.....

This topci should be about Arsenal, Arsenal news, Arsenal team stuff, and Arsenal games. HOWEVER this SHALL NOT include Man Utd vs Arsenal. Any other post in here about that game of a flaming nature in the near future will result in the post being deleted (at the very least).

So, Arsenal vs Newcastle:-

Please beat the geordies - it'll keep us guys safe for abit longer. Im pretty confident that you'll easily beat them, but slightly worried that you'll face a back lash. They have to come good sometime - its when...

Newcastle are going nuts because there playing on Wednesday and then Friday. So really we should smash them. Cheer up Bobby Robson ohhhh what can it be.

All the geordies went to rome to see the pope,
All the geordies went to rome to see the pope,
All the geordies went to rome to see the pope and this is what he said...

<insert team chant here>
For example:-

Who's that team they call the Boro.... Blah blah blah im not gonna waffle on here about boro chants.

Anyway it is slightly tough on newcastle to play on wednesday then play Arsenal of all teams on friday. Im guessing its on Sky? Why is it on Friday anyway?

The russians always play their games early this time of year and besides, think about Newcastle. They play on Wednesday night, then Friday night, just to suit the goons.
