Van der Meyde 8) Nice Goal! Gettin beaten 3-0 HOME thats a big disgrace, then the 1-0 AC won from my club Ajax, wasn't so bad after all. I liked the duels between Martins and Tourre. Never knew that Martins was that fast :shock: But I think that Inter and Arsenal both will succeed to the next round. It's just the first round and the boy got 5 games more to play.

Zico why do you keep saying "Beattie 90,"?

Man Utd are Champions and they're top of their group, Arsenal got pumped at home by a weakened Inter side. I'm not saying Arsenal won't do well but they're certainly not playing well at the moment.

The only reason you're saying "Beattie 90," is because you know come the weekend you'll not be able to say it anymore cos Man Utd will be top on current form of both sides.

And it's "Beattie, 90" btw ;).

didnt juventus lose 3-0 to man utd at home last year (plus even gary nevielle (sp) hit the crossbar with a chip).....and where did juventus end up!!!!!! back at old trafford in the final.

Bad news for Arsenal as they will be without Sol Campbell for the match on Sunday after his father passed away, he had a stroke prior to the Inter game but Sol decided to play. Wengers is reported to have told Sol to have as much time as he needed.

Well I feel for Sol, my old fella passed when I was 19 and I was in a daze for a few months.

So my heart goes out to Sol and his family.

On the footballing side it looks like Keown or Cygan will be recalled in his place for their trip to play the Champions on Sunday.
 
I think Sol will play against Man Utd because he's such a strong character.

Ive no doubts of that at all but it seems that Wenger is encouraging to have some time off, look how bad he played the other night and that was after his Dad had a stroke, plus with his record their is a chance of him lashing out at someone.
 
I kinda agree with Zico, I think that he would want to play, but will be encouraged not to.

Come january I think Mr Wenger better start looking for a defender.

Yeah Wengers said he'll leave it up to Campbell.

Goons are already sniffing round for a cheap centre half, apparently they are looking at some man-child who playes for Derby,

Would that be Tom Huddlestone? Hopefully because this guy looks the part like.
 
It says in the paper that Sol is almost certainly going to miss the game against Man U, cos of his father and disciplinary problems against them. :(
